A few Mikkian HCs before I go to bed I literally just thought of these while brushing my teeth.

Mikkians' tendrils are visual displays as much as they are sensory organs. Bright vibrant patterns/colors are considered attractive and beautiful, the more colors the better.

In fact color is a huge part of Mikkian visual culture, from food (which involves a bunch of spices and herbs to create colorful dishes) to clothing (patterned fabrics are everywhere, and used for almost every type of clothing). Even work clothes will be embroidered with colorful trims and hems to add appeal.

Intricate "hairstyles" that involve soft braiding and wrapping of tendrils (with ribbons, bands, "hair sticks") are also a popular way to show off ones style, and to keep the sometimes cumbersome/unwieldy tendrils out of ones face.

i grew up never caring about my appearance. i always disconnected myself from other girls, especially from things such as make up or dressing up nicely. this made me lack any desire to be attractive. until now.

now that i care about my appearance i become so self aware how average looking i am.

i always been surrounded with pretty friends, people who just naturally looked extremely pretty. it made me start comparing myself a lot to them. how they can just be effortlessly pretty, how people found them attractive and how they can just get attention i never gotten.

it made me realize im never going to be enough.

despite the fact im starting make up and considering different styles to dress up as i still cant see myself as even good looking. i feel like a joke. an imposter. like lipstick on a pig. it makes me feel like i have nothing going on with myself. my only solution to get attention is by getting it online through naked photos with my face obscured because i still believe if i show my face it will ruin it.

i think ill never be pretty.

Cast more average looking actors, and not just for "specialized" roles. Give me actors with unibrows, crooked teeth, pimples, frizzy hair, body hair, no hair, bellies, rosacia, crooked noses, anything. Real people have these. The fact that Hollywood shows us perfectly groomed and maintained bodies is unrealistic. I want all kinds of people on the screen. So long as they have the talent.

I don't want "beautiful" actors. I want people who look real. I want people who we can look at and not idealize for their looks, but their talent.

How an average looking woman can easily meet men. You can start off by realizing that you’re average because you think that you’re average. I’ve known plenty of females who were average in looks and exceptional in attractiveness.
