The Fear of the Lord: A Key for Worship Leaders
Proverbs 16:6 says, “By fearing the Lord, people avoid evil.” For worship leaders, the fear of the Lord is essential—not a fear of punishment, but a reverent awe that shapes how we lead, serve, and inspire others in worship. What Is the Fear of the Lord? The fear of the Lord is a deep respect for His holiness, justice, and power. It means leading worship with humility, knowing that we serve a…

Seek Peace
I Peter 3: 10-11. For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it. Peter not only teaches sound biblical doctrine. He also teaches plain good sense. This is one of those passages that a believer who truly desires to please God just can’t ignore. Simply…

Baskets of Blessings Day 5
Blessing: Avoid Troubles Blessed is the one who fears the LORD always, but whoever hardens his heart will fall into calamity. Proverbs 28:14 ESV
Message: As we have seen in Day 1 those who fear the Lord are able to avoid evil, today we see that they also avoid trouble, which would stand to reason if they are able to avoid evil they would also avoid trouble.
So, believers we are beginning to learn all the blessings we receive as we fear the Lord and walk in His ways. We are blessed with the Ability to Avoid Evil. We are blessed with Abundant Goodness. We are blessed with Advancement. We are blessed with Angelic Protection. We are blessed to Avoid Troubles. It is really amazing! Let’s give thanks that we know the Lord and fear Him and let us keep in mind not to harden our hearts, but to always look to the Lord for wisdom in how to live our lives daily, for in so doing we will walk in His will, not ours, and we will avoid evil and troubles.
When the righteous cry for help, the LORD hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. Psalm 34:17 ESV
Let’s share what we are learning with others so that they may receive these blessings also!

Blessing: Advancement It is good that you should take hold of this, and from that withhold not your hand, for the one who fears God shall come out from both of them. Eccl 7:18
Message: “the one who fears God shall come out from both of them.” Come out of what? What is this verse saying to us? Well, in order to understand it, we need to read the previous two verses which say: “Be not overly righteous, and do not make yourself too wise….Be not overly wicked, neither be a fool….”
What Solomon is saying is that those who fear the Lord receive His wisdom on how to live daily. Those who fear the Lord will receive guidance on how to speak and live righteously without being overly righteous and turning people off to the gospel and away from the truth because the Lord will give them the right words to say and the right time to say them. Those who fear the Lord will not become too wise because they will be humble as they depend on the Lord and His wisdom, living in His will and not theirs. Those who fear the Lord have the ability to avoid evil and not be foolish in their ways because they have the Lord’s wisdom, guidance, protection and goodness.
So then, knowing all of this we see that those who fear the Lord will advance in their lives spiritually, physically and mentally. They will be learning and growing daily, advancing the Lord’s kingdom on earth and bringing Him glory by how they live their lives.

Baskets Of Blessings--Day 1
“BASKETS OF BLESSINGS” is a 31 day devotional that shows the many blessings those who “fear the Lord” receive. “Fear of the Lord” is often defined as having a respect or awe for the Lord. It is not fearing Him in a frightening way but in a way that You want to know Him and follow Him more than anything else in your life. It is loving Him with your whole heart, mind and soul.

Blessing: Ability to Avoid Evil By the fear of the LORD a man avoids evil. Proverbs 16:6
Message: Believers, we have been blessed to be able to avoid evil. Our reverential fear of the Lord prompts us to turn away from any evil doing. If we love the Lord with all our heart, mind and soul, we will avoid doing things that are wrong or displease the Lord. We will seek to live for Him night and day, and as we do His will we will not be led towards temptation.
…the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil. 2 Thess. 3:3
