Do you believe Severus Snape would get along with a shy person romantically I mean. Or does it need a loud extrovert to get him out of his shell?

I don't think he needs a partner with an extroverted personality per say... the advantage of the extrovert is that they may be confident enough to not back down when he pushes them away because they might not be too sensitive about it.

Having some backbone and patience is necessary to deal with Severus but you could be determined to romance him and shy at the same time. I don't think it's a problem?

But it will be a challenge for that person because Severus will be dense as fuck and not get most of the romantic cues. He's never looking around thinking someone might be hitting on him so they might need to spell it out for him. Like tell him out loud.

And he might lack a lot of tact so they also need to be prepared for that.

BUT at the end of the day, truth is he's going to be super awkward and kind of shy as well so this has the potential to be quite cute? If he has a confident person in front of him he might feel the need to pull up a front and act as if he knows what he's doing, but with a shy person... well, it's safer maybe? They could bring out the shy in each other and be super clumsy and awkward and cute.
