7 & 4
4. Did your character try and volunteer time, provide a home for those who needed, or other services?
Samantha didn’t volunteer her home, she never was about allowing people into her life without extensive background checks. She was expected to help volunteer due to her being part of the Scottsdale Police Department. She reluctantly did help out at centers. The real reason for her apprehension was that it made her very aware of her mortality. Something she would rather not think about.
7. Before the Earthquake did your character have a plan if a major catastrophe happens in Scottsdale?
Sam always thought that if something happened in Scottsdale she would do what was needed to survive or would be forced to stay behind to help protect people. She knew the area and was confident that she didn’t really need a plan of action. Her father, who passed away when she was in her early 20s, always had a plan. She felt that he spent most of his time planning and not really living. It was mainly due to this that she strayed away from having plans for even the most basic of things in her life (ie road trips). She prided herself on thinking on the fly and figured that would be enough.
