Genya seemed like him. His anger was fear, a shield he used. It wasn't his core like his brother and the other hashira who had tried to help him.

Maybe, just maybe, that would be enough for Giyuu to make a difference where they hadn't.

The Box in the Woods by Maureen Johnson

I was so excited when I heard there was going to be a fourth Truly Devious book. I needed more of Stevie and her rag-tag group of friends and their mystery solving. This time, it is summer break and Stevie is asked to solve a murder mystery at a summer camp. Of course, our Stevie can't resist a chance to solve a decades-old murder, and she gets to bring her friends. It was interesting to see a new mystery at a new location. As much as I loved Ellingham Academy, we needed a new location and a new mystery to liven up the series. This book showed that the series can stand on its own without the original mystery involved. I hope there are more Truly Devious books for years to come.

By Your Side by Kasie West

When you want a quick, fun romance read, Kasie West is your author. It was nice to have a main character like Autumn, have anxiety and struggles with it. As someone who has had and struggled with anxiety for years, it was nice to find a main character that I could relate to on it. I thought the entirety of this book would take place in the library but we get to see the aftermath of the weekend in the library. It was fun to watch the evolution of Autumn and Dax, two who each have their own struggles, start out as essentially strangers but by the end be something else entirely. I love Kasie West books and have yet to find one that isn't awesome.

Final Girls by Riley Sager

I have been wanting to read Final Girls forever it seems like, am I am so happy to finally have got the chance. In horror movies, we often see it come down to the final girl, but we never really see what happens to her after. In Final Girls, Riley Sager looks into one possibility of what happens to a final girl after the movie ends. Quincy is trying to live a normal life but still struggling with the aftermath of a massacre that left all her friends dead. Soon, a fellow final girl is found dead and another appears on Quincy's doorstep. What follows is a series of twists and turns and a jaw-dropping plot twist that while I feel like I should have seen it coming, still caught me off guard. I can't wait to read more of Riley Sager's work.

The Love Hypothesis

Oh dear, here we go again.  I’ve fallen in love with yet another fictional character.  ADAM CARLSEN WELCOME TO THE CLUB!!!

I want to shout from the rooftops at how much I love this book.  I honestly didn't think I'd enjoy it that much because there was so much hype around it.  But, my God, I LOVED IT!

The only criticism I have is, I would have liked a little more details on the main characters, I couldn't really picture what they looked like ( I know it’s based on fanfic but I was trying super hard not to picture them as Kylo Ran and Rey. ) But that's literally all.  I loved everything else.

I enjoyed the pace of the book, thought all of the characters had a purpose to the book ( which sometimes I feel like there are too many side characters in some books and I struggle to keep up with them all. ) 

I am a total simp for the Grumpy X Sunshine trope.  It’s just my thing. 

When Adam said “Focus, sweetheart”, you all just know I had to set my book down and take a deep breathe.  

Honestly, I think Ali Hazelwood injected crack into this book because I couldn't get enough. 

Can't wait to see what other books she publishes, because I will definitely be investing.

Now I Rise (The Conqueror's Saga #2) by Kiersten White

Now I Rise picks up right where And I Darken left off. We follow Lada on her quest to become Prince of Wallachia. We also follow Radu as he works with Mehmed to conquer Constantinople. Both Dracul siblings struggle with the distance between them, both physically and emotionally. Mehmed asks Radu to do something that leaves Radu questioning everything. Lada realizes not everything is as it seems. Does Lada become Prince of Wallachia, and if so, at what cost? What does Mehmed ask Radu to do? The book had me hooked right up to the dramatic, cliffhanger of a conclusion.

Review: Dante – Guy Haley

As many of you know, I went on holiday, which was an amazing opportunity to relax and read! And read I did! I picked this up due to the portrayal of Dante in Devastation of Baal and wanting to know more. This book did not disappoint. It follows two lines of story – one of child Dante and how he became a Blood Angel, and that of Chapter Master Dante just before the events of Devastation of Baal.
