"Try me" (2023-4)

Last OC painting of last year, and first into this one ^^ I have this small tradition, of making one last of them as a year closes.

This one was a coloring of a doodle I'd had laying around for literally months, and I ended up quite happy with it.

I've been quite busy, I hope you're all doing well!

Hello! I hope you're all doing well.

I'm so, for the most part, but unfortunately the last few months I've had to lend a hand to my parents (who are both retired) due to a lot of big spendings happening all of a sudden: a couple of major house repairs (roof replacement included), as well as medicines, which are very expenssive. I live in Argentina, where the economy is unfortunately disasterous.

So yeah. Opening these to help myself reach the end of the month! These are simple and I can draw them very quickly, I also want to make them affordable: They'd be $20 for flat colors, and $ 25 with a simple shading as shown above.

I can do animals and humans/humanoids. payment method can be Paypal or Western union.

I know I'm not active anywhere as much as I used to (even though I have so much left to archieve, will go back to that as soon as I can!), but it really is lack of time more than anything else - and every social media site feeling super unstable all over... I feel I can never catch up anywhere haha.

Here you can see a few examples with my own OCs! Guyra, Resolana (from my novel Canallas), Sol (from ClarOscuro), the young Vizcacha and Fig, the burrowing parrot from Awka.

I will update both my comics soon!

"Pride Gals" (2022)

In my patient (but slower than I'd like..) cathegorizing of what pictures I've yet to upload to this blog, and well in tune with the month, have two Lesbian gals. Awka and Acol!

Because I like including some trivia to my uploads, "Acol" means "The one that leads to the lake". Remember her desicion, as a newcomer, to accompany Awka to cross the lake behind the Ñirantal (now Chaura's herd territory), into the Icefield. Acol is also the name of one of my favourite mountains in this region. It's a harsh one, with unmarked trails, streams where filling your bottle and shadow become scarce there in Summer- not a mountain for begginers or unprepared people. It also has two beautiful crater-lakes at the summit, which I also reflected in the comic's landscappery.

Acol also, as a character, has some influence from Tomoyo (from Card Captors Sakura), and her "square-ish" marking patterns reflect the character's haircut to a very loose degree (I was never a fan of animal markings resembling human haircuts too accurately, they always end up looking kind of weird, haha). I also picture her voice to sound alot like Tomoyo's latin american voice, except more adult-sounding (still soft and a bit high-pitched).

So yeah. Putting some order in my files, to resume updating ASAP!

"Grumpy, but loyal" (2021)

I have this tradition of sorts. Every year, I travel to my parents' house for the holidays. And while I'm there, I tend to do this pencil OC picture, the last art piece oft he year. This was done with a brand new color pencils box I got for Christmas 2021.

I wanna repeat this tradition this year, too!

And yeah, since this is an archive, my biggest difficulty updating tumblr is checking to make sure I don't upload the same picture twice, haha.

Currently out in a trip, at my parents's until next week. Currently chilling, after the entire immediate family met for New Year. Not only we celebrated, but we also made a short trip on the first 3 days of January. Now I jsut want to stay at the family house and chill, haha.

"Awka, page 60" (2019)

I'm cheating by adding a comic page here, but I'm out of town at my parents's, and don't remember what I had queued for upload. This is one of my favourite pages in the comic, and might share a few more of my favs. They're often the ones that have limited dialogue, and are mostly visual.

2022 has been a weird year. Probably better overall than 2020 and 2021, but crazy on is own right. This year my comics have slowed down a ton, but sadly, it's hard to not feel I'm feeding my hard work to AIs, in dA. regardless, I do want to keep uploading them, advancing on the stories, I just don't wanna force myself to do it, I want the right mood for comics back. I do have a small buff of completed pages, and I am considering an alternate tumblr account, just for comic pages, I've seen some other artists do that and it's pretty sweet!

From October to now, too much has happened. Work was intrusive as always, but also I've traveled, finished off some things in my house, repaired the fence plus some other mainteinance, helped friends move not once but twice (one of them on december 23th), and have been helping out a best friend who needs major surgery, which she is getting soon. 23th at night I drove to the family house, and will stay here at least for the first week of January. I've been sleping a ton at my family's house, and overall having a great time. It's just mom, the cat and I! Dad is out in a trip (my grandma is 90, and he's taking care of her) and so are my brothers, all of them will come here for New year.

So yeah. I want to get back to art, but I need to get my focus on its right place again. So far, the rest has been working wonders. I will be back to comics and art in general, hopefully during January.

Life uipdates are boring i guess! but it's what I have right now.
