If we are not grateful as a people or as individuals we have stopped REMEMBERING the mercy of God. It's not the fact that you haven't experienced it. The fact that you are breathing His Air, on His Earth, reading this post is an example of that mercy. Pray that the Holy Spirit would open your eyes to see Jesus as mercy incarnate. Only then will you be able to rejoice beyond circumstance and truly be a grateful person.
