DAY 1: 8-Jan-2018
It’s Day 1, we’re not going to try for something superhuman. Before this, I can’t even remember the last time I ran. Probably the last AWUM.
Anyway, I ran from Med Cafe to Abellana at an easy pace, then did a few sprint-walk around the oval, then joined a dragon boat team as they did their body-weight exercises.
My Last AWUM? Maybe.
I’m running the All Women’s Ultra-marathon (AWUM) again this year. It would be my 5th in a row. Granted, last year officially did not count since I finished way beyond the cut off and was not listed as an official finisher but I did finish (albeit an hour and 15 minutes beyond the cut off).

At 5:44am on March 9, 2014 I finished my first marathon. I was so excited I just had to send a text to a few of my friends. It was my first marathon. 42 grueling kilometers at roughly seven hours and thirty minutes. If this was the Cebu City Marathon (CCM), I still would not have finished on time but the point is, I did finish a marathon. Now I only needed to tackle eight more kilometers.
