Glass
I see you
for all that you are
all that you are not
all that you say
all that you do not
I see through you
through your empty promises
through your broken reassurances
all so easily held together with clarity
clarity you so often give me
you love me you care for me
love is love you see
when the word love is mentioned
its true
all else is forgiven
but is it forgotten
time after time I have taken your word
I have bared the scars
and yet your empty promises slice through me
leaving me questioning
myself
our life
But this is my life
how long am I going to keep holding on
the rope is shredding
layer after layer
you are what grounds me then why does it shake so
am i so unsteady
I grab whatever I can
I hold on your hands approving
its not your hands that are bleeding
its not your throat that is raw from screaming
why why me
over and over
I put my faith in you
when i have none in myself
over and over
your fulfilling words prove inadequate
and yet im still here still holding on
to what
false hope longing for the moment your words prove true
im all you want
im all you need
I am enough
All alone, show me love 💔
To Christian anon: I myself am a Christian, and I'm pretty sure I have anxiety myself (I've never actually been diagnosed clinically, but I've experienced symptoms of it, specifically social anxiety) It's normal to experience these things, even as Christians, because we're human, we're susceptible to these things. God allows these things to happen for a reason. We may not always now why, but that's okay, because we don't have to have all the answers. You can get through this, friend.

Anyone else have any advice?

Only need a glimpse I love to be who I am. I'm happy with the person I see in the mirror. Love to be free yet righteous. Now it ls time to finally breathe again.
“Hey, how you doing?”
Nobody has to know..
Untied from reality; floating
Subtleties untold..
Something important to remind myself
Remember that your anxiety, depression, PTSD, or other health issues don’t define you. Also remind yourself to forgive and forget you. Lately, I’ve been cringing about things I did or said in the past that weren’t that embarrassing; but fully understanding NOW that it was anxiety and not me, its frustrating. On the other hand looking at what life has thrown or given me in the last five years alone helps me realize that I’m on the right path to being who I’m suppose to be, to be easier on myself, finally (with next level growing pains) certain people will come and go in your life. Those that stay are those that matter in the end.
You will know who these people are. You will see miles and miles ahead of you when certain relationships and friendships start to fall apart, crash and burn. Some of these you will learn and grow from. Not all relationships from your childhood or adolescences will last. You need to remind yourself that this is okay. The ones you never expected to last this long will make it to the finish line, the ones you thought will last forever take a turn you never expected and leaves you with a choice. People will change is ways you never saw coming.
Being in your 20s also exposes the harsh truth that sometimes people grow out of each other. As much as it can hurt on either end; it’s okay. Part of life is accepting this. That being less hard on yourself also leads to saying no to your anxiety. Growing up, and wanting to show people that you’re growing up and changing to. We never stop growing and finding new things out about ourselves and that’s what makes us all so interesting. It helps you open up to respecting your intuition. It all seems like life is moving smoothly through a blender with rusty plaids you’re trying to blend a shirt with a baseball and some butter. But eventually it will all work out.
