For Choi Jinri, there was no shortage of admirers. Girls like Jung Soojung were envious of her flawless make-up free appearance. Boys like Kim Jongin tried endlessly to get her to go out on a date, but to no avail. Jinri shot them all down, for she only had eyes for one boy... or should she say one man.
"Choi Jinri!" Her head snapped up at the sound of her name. The figure standing in front of her desk looked down at her through the stylish black frames of his glasses. "Where is your textbook?"
She bowed her head. "Mianhamnida, seongsaeng-nim. I forogt it at home."
"Again?" He sighed in exasperation. "That's the third time this week, there's no excuse for this."
The bell rang, causing the inevitable stampede of students rushing out the door for lunch. Jinri began to pack her things, but the hand pressed against her notebook kept her from sweeping it into her bag as well.
"I expect more from you, Choi Jinri," her teacher informed her as he took the seat in front of her, his body turned so he could face her, one slender leg crossed over the other. "I'm sorry, but this really is inexcusable. I'm assigning you detention with me every day after school next week."
She bit her lip as she nodded. "Yes, Kim seonsaeng-nim."
