Anon who requested Azama-Mitama: idk I didn't think that far 🧍‍♀️ I'd like them trying to bond despite peculiar personalities making it a bit difficult, or something about how becoming a father changes Azama and drives him to go against his typical philosophy (I'd just write about it myself if I were more confident. I don't think he's COMPLETELY awful) Honestly I'm a bit nervous requesting, but thank you in advance.

I think Azama would try to bond with Mitama through poetry, but they often would butt heads since a lot of poetry is finding meaning in the world and Azama...doesn't think there's any. He can capture vivid beauty and what not, but he thinks it's funny that he can trick readers into thinking it's written by someone who really cares about beauty and splendor and depth of passion but it's just him. He writes amazing poetry as a juxtapositional joke. Mitama appreciates him trying to bond with her, but his heart is really not in it. Especially with haiku, he often breaks the syllable constraints because "once you know the rules, then you can break them!" or he'll insist some words are one syllable that are really two or vice versa and he's just pronouncing them weird. He LOVES to skirt rules and conventions and Mitama's strict rigidity on the subject is at ends with that. But at least they're spending time together?
