happy (unofficial) 3 year anniversary of better!glee!!!!!!!!!

3 years ago on halloween i wrote “gleetlejuice”, a bad glee script in which they do beetlejuice as their school musical in season 3

one of the biggest things to me was i wanted to make art of it, but i didn’t want to constantly draw puck, who has frankly a large part of the story. so what did i do?? i made him black and frankly changed his entire character LMAO

that bad script spiraled into me adding random characters and lore to this rewrite universe…

a few months after gleetlejuice, i wrote “better!glee”, a mediocre groupchat fanfiction of My Characters for my sibling, eden, to read exclusively. after some time, i stopped sending chapters, getting quite bored of it, but eden kept asking “when is the next better!glee chapter gonna come out?”… this motivated me to keep going. if it wasn’t for eden, better!glee would’ve probably faded into nothingness

and now WE’RE HERE!!! the au has gone completely out of hand and now there’s way too much art for a fanfic that no one can read, several animatics, a lot of extraneous lore, a hypothetical season 2, and aus of aus of it… they are practically my ocs now. i began better!glee during a really sucky, depressing time in my life. not to sound fucking stupid, but i don’t know where i’d be without it.
