B-bellies are too big for small beauty standards
I painted 30 body affirming watercolours in 30 days. This is #12 (pregnancy with B belly)
I did absolutely nothing this weekend! And by nothing I literally mean nothing and it was glorious!!
Here’s a collection of photos from the past week including...:
A pic my mom snapped of me on a swing (aka my happy place) while at Deep Creek
Kevin and I went out for a 2.5 mile walk last Monday where we caught these gorgeous views. It was my first walk in awhile and unfortunately I still feel sore from it. Need to increase my activity so this type of thing doesn’t break me. (Remember when I was walking 20 miles a week?! Wasn’t that long ago...)
I finally succumbed and purchased a pregnancy pillow! In fact, the one @amanda-healthyhappywhole recommended! I was concerned I wasn’t pregnant enough to fully enjoy it but it’s been a lovely addition to sleeping!
All the OOTD shots including the last one when I finally stopped trying to work my angles and show you guys what kind of bump I’m experiencing*.
A cricket/grasshopper thingy on my door!!
Trying to work in low carb protein into my diet so I made up with this peanut butter breakfast wrap and iced coffee the other day.
This weekend the one productive thing I did was make my old go-to low carb pancake muffins. I used to make double batches weekly of these bad boys. So so good. And yes, between Kevin and I they were gone within a day.
*I spent a lot of time this weekend researching plus size pregnancies and what other plus size women’s bellies look like at 18 weeks because I’m having a hard time coming to grips with my changing body. I “know” I’m supposed to grow but I expected to have a cute basketball belly like I see in media and not this weird shape that hasn’t truly “popped” yet. (Or maybe it has? I don’t know what I’ll look like!)
Having never been pregnant before I don’t have a good idea of what different stages of bellies look like, especially plus size “B” bellies like mine. To be honest, I had never even heard of a “B belly” before getting pregnant. Immersing myself in this kind of research has been helpful for me and while I’m obviously just extremely grateful to be pregnant at all, I also was expecting to be joyful and embracing every single stage along the way. Which, I am as much as I’m able to. I’m connecting to the pregnancy more than I have allowed myself to previously and while I’m not sure if it’s all in my mind or not I might even be feeling some movement inside. MAYBE?!
I’ve complained a couple times here about rarely ever seeing my body/belly type on other people and how it’s made me super insecure about it, so I’ve been slowly creating a pinterest board for people with B bellies. Check it out if you’re interested.

Caption this one for me, I couldn't come up with one 🙈😈
That belly rebound though 🥰
Showing off my double belly before showing and telling you how I'd have you fck my big soft belly crease 😈 I love how my lower roll makes my bikini bottoms completely disappear 🫠
