Oh glorioso San Lázaro,

médico de los humildes y consuelo de los enfermos,

tú que conoces el dolor del cuerpo y del alma,

escucha mi súplica en este momento.

Intercede por mí ante Dios,

y cubre mi vida con tu manto de sanación.

Alivia mis penas, fortalece mi espíritu,

y sana toda enfermedad visible e invisible.

San Lázaro bendito, amigo de los pobres,

no me abandones en mis pruebas.

Dame fe para resistir, paciencia para esperar,

y fuerza para seguir adelante.

Así como fuiste levantado por el poder divino,

levanta también mi vida, mis caminos y mi salud.

Que nunca me falte tu protección,

ni la luz de la esperanza en mi corazón.

Omolu By Liliana Ostrovsky The eldest child of Nana the mother of all Orixas, Omolu contracted smallpox as a child and was unable to be cured by his mother. Left by the sea Yemanja found him and restored his health. But the smallpox disease left his face and body scarred. So Yemanja wove him a covering of raffia leaves so no one could see his scars.
