I wanted to wish a happy new year to the incredible people here but also to document my little chickies somewhere because I miss them dearly already.
There were six in total that my partner and I raised for two weeks. They were two days old when I picked them up and lived in a makeshift brooder in my guest room until I could give them to my sibling for Christmas. Hench the red light from their heating lamp.
Not all are pictured here, but the little babies stole my heart so fast (and, to be honest, helped me stay on track a bit as I adjusted to some new treatment). I'd go in there to check on them and before I knew it an hour would pass of just cuddling these precious babies.
My friends, bless them, probably heard about very little else those two weeks as I threw so many photos and videos at them of the little darlings. I'd get some of my own if my HOA weren't a bunch of wet blankets.
Anyway LOOK AT THEIR FACES. They grow so fast orz Of course we ended up naming them (Penguino, Goldie Hawn, Tailfeathers, Favorite, Pasty Butt and Angel Food Cake respectively) knowing their names would be changed once they were gifted. I'm happy to say that Angel Food Cake is keeping her (his??) name.
Anyway. BABIES.
