I'd like to report a murder. Or maybe it's a mercy killing. Either way, when it comes to Square Enix and so-called "live services," there's a lot of death going around. God, Square Enix sucks.

12 Here is the perseverance of the kedoshim—those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Yeshua.

Let us have a moment of silence for Platinum Games as they signal their intent to "pursue Games-as-a-Service", which literally none of us asked for.

Let us also have a moment of cruel jeering mockery for Platinum Games as the first game released under this model, Babylon's Fall, lands to uncharacteristically bad reviews for a Platinum game and flops right out of the gate. Someone needs to convince Platinum to break up this relationship they have with Square-Enix. This is clearly a toxic relationship that's no good for them.

Yesterday we got the last State of Play for this year, in it featured the games you see the pictures attached to this post. It was a good last episode of State of Play for this year, it also featured a short message from the father of PlayStation, Ken Kutaragi, the announcement of Resident Evil 3 Remake was an amazing reveal, they masked the reveal as a trailer for Project Resistance’s “campaign”. Ghost of Tsushima had a minute long teaser and had a ‘To be Continued’ ending which to watch the full trailer we’ll need to watch The Game Awards to see the whole trailer.
