Treasures I found on my walk today:
𓍊𓋼𓍊 𓋼𓍊𓋼 Intro Post 𓋼𓍊𓋼 𓍊𓋼𓍊
You can call me Bac or Cat-Sìth (it/its or fae/faer). I am a member of @themycorrhizalsystem and you can learn more about us as a collective over there. This is not an 18+ only blog but I am an adult and it's a blog about my experiences, so if I ever post anything iffy I'll tag it #mdni.
Art blog: @be-fae-do-art
I post/reblog whatever sparks joy, however these are some topics you can expect to see:
𓍊𓋼𓍊 𓋼𓍊𓋼 Alterhumanity/Furry 𓋼𓍊𓋼 𓍊𓋼𓍊
My alterhumanity is very closely tied to my plurality. Collectively, we are a shapeshifter made of mycelium that turns into different things for different alters. For example, I am a Cat-Sìth, the Scottish/Irish fae creature with a lot of varying folklore surrounding it that I identify with in different ways (but I'm definitely on the fae side as opposed to the witch side).
We used to have a lot of labels and much fancier terminology for our alterhumanity, but we've realized that plurality is a much simpler answer to most of it.
I also got involved with the furry fandom before realizing I was plural. My fursona, Bac, is mostly mine. However, the others are absolutely allowed to use it as well if they ever wanted to.
𓍊𓋼𓍊 𓋼𓍊𓋼 Gender/Sexuality 𓋼𓍊𓋼 𓍊𓋼𓍊
I don't have an exact term for my gender. Whatever mushrooms have going on is what I'm supposed to be. I just call myself queer irl.
𓍊𓋼𓍊 𓋼𓍊𓋼 Brain/Body Stuff 𓋼𓍊𓋼 𓍊𓋼𓍊
OSDD, OCD, autism, cane user
𓍊𓋼𓍊 𓋼𓍊𓋼 Fandoms/Interests 𓋼𓍊𓋼 𓍊𓋼𓍊
Furry fandom, TTRPGs, drawing, Deltarune, MLP, pokemon designs, many others but those are my biggest interests atm
This is my collection of shinies (mostly glass) that I keep at work! Now that my joints are doing better and the weather is colder I think I'll start taking walks to collect things again.
I bit my husband and he called me a “godless beast enjoying its wretched meal”. That was so gender to me that I think I'm gonna try out using it/its pronouns now.
blog/life update:
hi all!
so, I decided it's about time I talk about this on main. I've finally gotten the others on board (and half my mutuals are systems anyway). Turns out, my alterhuman identity of shapeshifting through different "lives" of different creatures was both much more and much less accurate than I had originally thought. It's more accurate because these "lives" are all very distinct and very real beings that I can "shapeshift" into even now, and less accurate because they're not all exactly me. I've been diagnosed with OSDD, which accounts for the psychological explanation of all the alterhuman stuff, but I think there's definitely a bit of spirituality/unknown to it too
the content of this blog is going to stay mostly the same but probably with passing reference to system stuff (and I updated my intro post to summarize). This blog will only be run by me (you can call me Bac or Cat-Sìth) because it's all about my interests. I've also started a blog called @themycorrhizalsystem where me and all of the other alters can post specifically about system stuff. One of them has also decided to start their own side blog for just themselves, and I'm hoping others follow suit to learn more about themselves!
this is all still pretty newly discovered and a little scary for some of us, so we're trying to learn and carefully dip our toes into the online community (being especially wary of syscourse and trying to learn about it little bits at a time because it seems................overwhelming and unhealthy to dive in head first)
if anyone wants to chat about any system stuff, but particularly anything you wish you knew when first learning that you were a system, please hmu! Ask box and dms are both open for mutuals or anyone else (as long as you're nice)
Trick or treat!
augh I forgot to make drawings for this! ah well, have one of my cats as a kitten:
he looked like a jellybean so i think this counts as a treat
finally got parts work therapy to click for me and all it took was embracing it as an alterhuman thing rather than trying to force random ocs to fit. I am one me connected by the mycelium of my own creativity, but I am also the cheetah cub who never got to grow up, the old smilodon who grew up so fast it lost itself in time, the territorial snow leopard who lashes out when it can't be solitary, the overthinking magpie who collects memories and patterns to try to find meaning in it all, the cute cuddly otter who wants to just keep swimming but its endless acceptance invites cruelty, and finally the fae, the cat-sìth, the one who writes this post, who takes back control over our joint identity, who gives everything a name and a place and acts as the meta-organizer of the thoughts. it just finally feels like my alterhumanity makes sense as an organizer of my mind rather than just a vague "my dad sucks and now I'm a creature"
