So, I don’t talk about it much, but I’m also bird/aviankin and my phantom wings were one of the first ghost limbs I ever felt as a nonhuman.

They don’t show up as often since I’ve gotten very in touch with my other kintypes, but recently they have been prominent and painful.

They are usually accompanied by a dull ache in my back, but this is almost ridiculous with how uncomfortable it is.

So if any other aviankins have suggestions on how to help or at least ease the discomfort I’m willing to do almost anything! Please and thank you!

something i figured out i think a LOT of people would really like:

get yourself a set of tattoo markers they are temporary markers that usually wash off easily they can be used to draw on your skin! feathers, circuits, scales, you name it you could probably do it i was gifted mine for cheap and plan on getting more since they are dried out now i personally have used it for circuits a lot, they are a fun decoration to doodle

Im cervid (primarily reindeer and excluding moose) and corvid clado link. Honestly these might be legitimate theriotypes, Ive been questioning them forever, but I neither have the time or motivation to actually try to figure it out rn so whatever. They both just feel very me but in a much less serious/deeply rooted way as my other kintypes, if I wasn't already a therian I probably wouldn't think of them as anything more than animals I enjoy portraying myself as lol

But yeah this is what I look like irl, local reindeer and bluejays hmu lets be friends ❆.°🪶

hello fellow creatures. as part of my journey in the world of nonhumanity, ive been kinsidering many different things and im trying to figure things out. there are things i know and am secure in but i was wondering others would be okay sharing some of their experiences and how they knew they were the kins that they are. i’ll list the species im kinsidering below:

- bats (this one im unsure of because i am a vampire. it could be related, i dont know)

- zombie/ghost/general undead (might also be related to the vampire?)

- rodents (specifically rats, opossums, and raccoons)

- corvids (crows, ravens, magpies)

- im a werewolf but i might be a wolf or a dog? so if you could explain how you knew the difference, if you knew the difference that would be great as well!

yeah! thats all, im curious and im trying to figure things out. if you feel comfortable sharing in dms, asks, replies, reblogs, any of it, that would be great but i dont want any-creature to feel like they have to. you dont, this is completely voluntary. thank you!

Okay okay here it goes. Birdkin.

First off:

I realize that a huge part of my confusion when it came to figuring out this identity was the fact that I limited myself to only one possibility. I am definitely several birds, not just one, and that's okay.

Now.

Which birds? Not sure yet. But I'm like 90% sure "bird A" is a corvid, either a crow or a magpie. They fit my urges and shifts perfectly, and I just see myself in them. Large-ish omnivore that's very social, can be found in cities and doesn't mind humans.

"Bird B" is the small songbird (i know corvids are songbirds too, but you know what I mean)

I believe I may be a starling! They do fit my urges of eating bugs, berries and seeds as well as building nests in the woods, and ever since I had a dream in which I was a starling, I can't stop thinking about them... But I don't really feel like I'd live in those ginormous flocks, ESPECIALLY not when I'm not currently traveling somewhere. I gotta do a lot of research still... I'm also kinsidering great tits for these reasons!

I'm most likely also a bird of the water, but I haven't done much research into that... I feel like it is most likely some kind of duck or goose tho.

Also another update I guess?

I DON'T think that I'm a mustelidae ambitherian. I now realize that my urges came from a mix of my other kintypes

I'm not a pine marten, I just wanted to be high up in trees because of the bird identities and steal eggs and hunt mice cause I'm a fox.

I'm not an otter, I just wanted to eat fish cause I'm a fox and swim cause I'm some sort of duck.
