-Conspiracy theory vidoes au conspiracy theory videos au conspiracy theo

-But consider: instead of Logan, Janus, or Virgil, one of whom is always involved with this kind of thing, it’s Roman & Remus & Remus’ boyfriend, Patton. 

-Remus and Patton are super affectionate and super teasing, and they provide a lot of soft fluffy comic relief. For an episode, they’re all talking about fae, and Patton throws glitter everywhere and goes “glitter fae! :D” and that’s when Remus says the “glitter fae isn’t a thing, dork” line. 

-They film conspiracy theory vids together, kinda like Buzzfeed Unsolved but doing everything from mythos to folklore to supposed hauntings. They never film videos in the same place twice, which means that a lot of the videos where they just talk about myths and legends with no set place has the three of them just wandering through a random forest together. Bonus Roman being a disaster gay for their cameraman, Logan, and Remus occasionally teasing him about it during the videos. 

-Their channel really became popular because of their stellar dynamic (all very soft and teasing, ft. bffs platonic royality, boyfriends intruality, and the creativitwins being idiot siblings) and when the whole Logan/Roman thing starts bleeding into their content there’s a frame of Roman doing something that becomes a meme and draws a lot of attention to them. 

-Bonus points if what finally gets Roman and Logan to Talk About Their Goddamn Feelings is them getting trapped together in an actual haunted house, with ghosts! anxceit being judgemental assholes who about halfway through give up on trying to scare Logan and Roman away and start just trying to get them to communicate their feelings, because “Dearest, I understand that we both spent our lives being cagey, secretive dicks, but communication is important in relationships that don’t last beyond the grave.”

-Also Remus and Patton totally trapped Logan and Roman in the house together on purpose without knowing there were ghosts inside.

Summary: Virgil is so, so proud of his son, but Patton can’t seem to see what there is to be proud of. So he gives some advice from his own experiences.

The day had been productive. Virgil had cleaned up the living room, gotten dinner prepped to be started when Dee got home, got the chore calendar set up for when the twins got home from elementary school, and he even managed to finish a commission.

Now he was just waiting for his kids to get home, and then later his husband. There was about an hour left before his oldest finished his after school things, and Virgil was fully intending to spend that time taking a nap.

The door opening and then slamming closed two minutes later was not something he was expecting.

Virgil sat up on the couch, frowning in concern when he saw Patton leaning against the door a painfully neutral expression.

“Hey Pat, don’t you have a club meeting today?” he asked, wanting to get up and go to him but deciding to give him space if he needed it.

Patton tensed a little, and the smile he gave Virgil was so fake his heart ached in his chest.

“Yeah, I did but I got a little drained. Hard to garden when you’re exhausted, ya know?” he said.

The cheer in his voice was even more fake than his smile.

“Yeah, I get being tired. Wanna take a nap with me? We can have a cuddle session and you can brag to Dad later,” he offered, giving Patton the most reassuring smile he could.

Virgil watched as Patton hesitated, and his concern skyrocketed when he shook his head.

“No thanks, Pa, I think I’m just gonna go to my room for now.”

Fuck, Patton was really upset if he was turning down cuddle time.

“Okay, kiddo. Let me know if you need anything okay?”

Patton nodded, and Virgil watched as he made his way up the stairs until he heard the door shut.

He was planning on just letting Patton decide how he needed to calm down, planning on leaving him alone for a while no matter how worried he was because Patton deserved to figure out what he needed on his own.

Virgil couldn’t help but regret that decision when he a series of thumps followed by a heavier thud and a sob coming from Patton’s room.

“Patton?” he called, scrambling off the couch and shooting up the stairs until he was opening the bedroom door in a panic.

His son was sitting on the bed, fingers buried in his hair and his textbooks and notebooks in a pile on the floor.

That explained the smaller thumps, but what about the thud?

Virgil glanced in Patton’s immediate area as he approached him, stopping at the edge of the mattress. He couldn’t find the source, but it wasn’t really something he was worried about right now.

“Hey Pattoff, you don’t look so hot there, wanna tell me what’s wrong?” Virgil asked softly, wanting to sit down but not wanting to invade his son’s space.

Patton jerked, pulling his head from his hands to look at Virgil and- oh.

He recognized that look. That was an anxiety attack reaching it’s peak.

“Oh, Patton,” he said softly, sitting on the very edge of the mattress and tentatively opening his arms.

Patton stared at him, hiccuping as a sob struggled to escape him, and Virgil just waited patiently.

It felt like eternity before Patton’s surprise crumpled and he sobbed again, pushing himself away from Virgil and wrapping his arms around himself.

Virgil pushed back the urge to pull Patton into a hug anyway. He deserved the right to choose what he wanted right now, he wasn’t gonna be like his parents and disregard his son’s boundaries.

“Okay, no hugs. But we gotta get you calmed down Pat,” he said, wincing when Patton sobbed again.

God, he always hated seeing when his kids were upset.

“Gonna need you to listen to me, Pat. Force all of the air out of your lungs,” he started, smiling softly when Patton didn’t hesitate to listen, “and then breathe in for one, two, three, four…”

He kept going, guiding Patton through the four, seven, eight breathing exercise until his breathing was shaky but even.

Patton wiped at his eyes, sniffling and staring at his lap. He didn’t say anything, but that’s okay, Virgil could talk first.

“That looked like a pretty bad anxiety attack, bud. Do you wanna tell me about it?”

Quiet, and then Patton shook his head.

Virgil nodded, shifting until he was sitting on his sons bed with his legs crossed in front of him.

“Okay, that’s fine. Wanna tell me what the really loud thud was earlier?”

Patton wiped at his eyes again, then pointed in Virgil’s direction, prompting him to turn around and see the school issued tablet on the ground, screen cracked and a dent in the wall it collided with.

Oof, that’s gonna be expensive to replace.

“Got frustrated with the anxiety huh? Did you get another book assignment with no audio reader?” he asked, turning back to his son.

Patton’s face scrunched up a little bit, and he shrugged.

Virgil sighed, leaning forward until Patton’s eyes were on his face, his glasses on the mattress next to him so he was squinting a bit.

“It’s okay. I can understand being frustrated with school, and you’ve got a whole slew of bullshit I didn’t have to deal with. Is that what happened just now? School shit?”

Patton’s lips twitched in a restrained laugh at Virgil’s swearing, but they quickly settled at his question.

“…Yeah,” he croaked, face twisting before he cleared his throat.

Virgil opened his arms again.

“How about a fuck school solidarity hug? And then later when your dad gets home, we’ll talk about a system to help you with that anxiety, yeah?”

He watched as Patton debated with himself, rubbing at his eyes one more time before putting his glasses back on.

There may or may not have been an internal sigh of relief when Patton eventually crawled into his lap, and Virgil squeezing his son until he squeaked was not something he could help.

At least this was something Virgil knew more or less how to help with. Anxiety sucked, and he had no idea of Patton had it as bad as he did, but he could help.

And that’s all Virgil really wanted, to help his son live his life and love it too.

Patton discovered something weird, he got much more easily flustered by Remus, also for whatever reason whenever Remus was around his heart started beating faster, and he was always kind of pleasantly? nervous around him and along with a couple other things.

It all looked like a concerning outcome

Was.. Patton scared of Remus?

Guilt ate at him. He had a whole conversation about how Remus didn’t make him uncomfortable, and the whole time he was telling the truth! And he still finds himself trying to spend as much time as he can with Remus and he enjoys it every time,

Wouldn’t he not do that if he was scared of him? Patton was scared of spiders and just the idea of him spending any time with spiders in the same proximity made his stomach fill with dread.

Then why would any of the things be happening if he wasn’t scared of him?

He sighed from where he had been laying on his bed, staring at the ceiling and sat up,

Virgil was a ‘master in fear’ as he said it so maybe he could help Patton figure out what was going on.

Were there multiple versions of fear?

No matter what version it was, he didn’t want to be scared of Remus! He wanted to give him hugs and he wanted to talk to him until the sun went down! And he wanted remus to feel safe talking about his interests with him!

He sighed before standing up and sinking out.

Patton was let into virgil's room quickly before the two settled on bean bags

“Okay so what were you talking about?” 

Patton began trying to explain to the best of his ability “so my heart speeds up and I get easily flustered when he’s around, I don’t wanna be scared of him! He doesn’t deserve a friend being scared of him!”

Virgil pinches his temple, he wasn’t an expert in feelings but even he knew Patton had a crush on whomever this person was (who he guessed to be Remus since patton had been spending a lot of time with him, but he didnt know for sure) and was not in fact afraid of Them.

He groaned as Patton continued to list the things he thought equated him to being afraid of this unnamed side “Patton, pat, pop-star. Please tell me you aren’t actually this dense?”

Patton quieted, obviously confused. “what do you mean?”

Virgil rubbed his face “okay patt, I’ll give you one clue, it’s not fear,” he said before ushering Patton out to try and get patton to put it together himself, 

Virgil and Janus were going to watch this go down as Patton realized what his actual feelings were.

Patton didn’t tell Remus about his interaction with Virgil, because what If he was wrong- Patton doubted he was, because Virgil was very smart- but still, if he was Remus would realize the interaction was about him and then he’d think patton had just pretending to enjoy his company.

Patton didn’t want to ruin a good friendship because he thought Patton didn’t enjoy him or his company when the opposite was true.

So for the next couple days Patton just let remus’s gleefully take over the conversation, with Patton piping up every and then as Patton tried to figure out what Virgil meant

If it wasn’t some form of fear.. what could it be?

summary: Logan has a giant crush on Roman Perez.

Logan hid behind the wall, staring at Roman Perez. The boy’s beautiful brown locks flowing, his plush lips moving as he spoke to his companions, Virgil and Patton. Roman wore the school’s “female” uniform, mainly because he liked skirts. Logan really respected that, and respected his very pretty legs as well. Roman was just such a pretty boy. Logan could feel the blush creeping up on his face, his face contorting into a mushy smile. Behind him was Horace, who seemed tired. Horace placed his hand on Logan’s shoulder, effectively cutting off the boy’s train of thought.

You know Lo,  Horace started off. You could just confess to him.

Logan shook his head violently, waving his hands in front of him to express it further how much he did  not  want to do that. Horace simply sighed and placed his head on Logan’s shoulder.

Let’s go back to staring, I’m really likin’ the way Virgil looks today. Horace signed. Logan nodded softly and smiled slightly. He turned his attention to Roman, who was freaking about Logan to Virgil and Patton.

“He’s cute! And really smart! He got a 100 on the science test.” Roman gushed. Patton nodded solemnly, and Virgil spoke up.

“I understand that you like him, but are you sure he’s the one? We’re only 12, I just think you shouldn’t rush into it.” He muttered. Roman looked at him before making a flapping motion in front of his face, as if to say ‘no worries’.

“It’s whatever, Virgil. Gotta kiss a bunch of frogs before your find your prince.” Roman smirked,  “Let’s see if Logan is my prince after all.” 

Patton beamed, squishing Roman’s cheeks. “He’s not wrong, you know.” Patton said. “But anyway! Roman, shouldn’t you just ask him out?”

Roman flushed. “I’m getting to that!” he said, indignantly. Roman pouted and crossed his arms, a blush appearing on his face. Logan watched in awe.

Logan turned to Horace and signed to him. I wonder what got him to pout like that. He looks so cute! Logan was unable to see read their lips, so he was left in confusion as to what got Roman as flustered as he was. Horace covered his mouth with his hand and giggled before signing to Logan that it was a secret. Suddenly, he sees Roman making his way to Logan. Horace grabbed Logan’s hand and pulled him backward, trying to prevent from Roman figuring out Logan was watching him. He would be humiliated, and a humiliated Logan is never fun to deal with.

Roman approached them, seeing the way their hands were intertwined. 

“I guess they’re together…” he whispered under his breath. Roman was slightly disappointed, but would confess nonetheless. 

“Hey, can I talk to Logan for a second?” Roman asked Horace.

“I don’t know, can you? Ask him yourself.” Horace puffed. Logan read his lips and elbowed him in the stomach. 

“Oh! Uhm, I don’t know sign language…” Roman scratched his cheek, his eyes downcast while a blush crept up on his face. Maybe he should’ve planned this out better, or came when he could actually communicate with Logan.

Logan pulled out his notepad from his back pocket. 

‘That’s quite alright. I can read lips, and you can read the words I write on this here notepad.’ Logan wrote, a small smile appearing on his face.

“Who said he could read well- ACK!” Horace was starting to regret his life choices.

Roman tilted his head. “Is that a yes?” he asked.

Logan nodded, and Roman beamed. As they were making their way to the bathroom, as that’s where all important conversations in middle school took place  duh , they heard Horace scream-asking for Roman to put in a good word for him to Virgil. How subtle of him.

Once they arrived at the sacred location, Roman looked down at their hands and flushed a bright red.  Here goes nothing…  he thinks.

“Logan, I like-like you! I know you’re with Horace, and I’m sorry, I just wanted to let you know!” Roman had ducked his head in the hole their arms had made, not bothering to look up. Until, that is, Logan let go of him and started writing on his notepad. Roman kept his head down, bracing himself for rejection. A slight knock on his head made him look up, Logan’s bright red face in view. His eyebrows making him look what Roman would describe as angry, but his lips pursed up. All in all, adorable. 

‘You dunce. Where did you get the idea that Horace gay-for-Virgil was with me? Unless you were thinking of polyamory, in which case very progressive of you, Roman. But no, he is simply my best friend. I like-like you too, Roman.’

Roman gasped and hugged Logan, but let go immediately. 

“Sorry, sorry! Are you okay with hugs? Gosh, I’m sorry. I was so excited. I like so much oh heck I’m so-”

Logan interrupted him with another hit to the head, smirking. The blush was still heavily present. Roman grabbed his hand and head out of the bathroom with him, smiling the entire way. Time to announce they were boyfriends.
