A few crappy cell phone pics from casual Sunday of Nekocon, and a few from dinner right after the Saturday night masquerade (hence the puppet makeup). Doing this performance meant the world to us, since Utena is what brought us together as Middle School sweethearts in 2002. Real pictures and skit video to follow, but I wanted to post while I am still riding on a buzzy con high. So so proud of Backhand Proposal for winning Best in Show. BackhandProposal cosplay's Final Fantasy VI cosplay at Megacon 2014!
My first time at a con outside of the DC/Metro area. Definitely a climate change (fun fact: my Locke jacket is made of couch pleather, and Florida is HUMID AS HELL).
It was super crowded, but we had a good time regardless. Met some really great people! Had quite a few stop us and say that 6 was always their favorite and how great it was to see old school cosplay. Made it totally worthwhile.
Also we met Kefka at the literal last minute, waiting for the trolley back to the hotel. Very fortuitous - I mean, I guess, since then we had to fight.

Aannnndddd La-Souris and I indulging in our OTP. I know this pairing isn't everyone's cup of tea, but we have a lot of fun playing Knight and Princess.
(Had a lot of fun being especially dramatic with the 'Romance Novel Cover' ones, and trying to come up with titles to put on top. We more or less ended up calling it, and any time we go out as these two, "Date/Zero").
