I finally picked up Atlas Fallen the other day! It was something I was originally excited for but completely went under my radar when it was released. Looking forward to giving it a try!

STARPEW PEW PEW VALLEY  

Anyone who is on my steam friends list will know I have too many damn hours on this game.  

Lately I’ve been having fun downloading mods for Stardew Valley, like hair and outfits and better animals... there’s even one that replaces the hats with kawaii desu™ versions.  I think the cat ears are actually in the default game but I just got the achievement that unlocks them. (*hair flip* so popular)

Naturally I took them out for a spin, muttering tiny meows with every gallop of my horse and I was on my way to give this idiot a herring like he wanted for a daily quest (90g, peasant change) but you know everyone is already my boyfriend/girlfriend so this was bound to happen.

Yep, Sebastian took me out for our romantic date and I looked like a damn cat.  He’s not really my end-game but I have been trying to give everyone a chance to win me over from my violent affection for Shane but I just nailed this one in the coffin by not being able to take the moonlight and city lights talk seriously. Maybe he has a thing for cats but he still nom’d that face so, I mean..

I’ll leave him to that. Need to go to the saloon for a pint to laugh about it with my future virtual husband, though.

Conquest of Hearts

Long time no see, I picked up a game that is really weird about siblings.  

So in Fire Emblem Awakening I thought a lot of the relationships were pretty neat because here is my Tactician without a memory and everyone is just super cool about letting me into their gang of friendship even though I’m a ticking time bomb, albeit a charming ticking time bomb.

In Conquest I uh... Well I have two families evidently. Two families who super remember everything about me and just love me to damn pieces even though my character seems to be a bit flighty in how much she remembers. “HI WE DID EVERYTHING WHEN YOU WERE A CHILD” “oh did you? :D...”

Regardless, everyone is really into me and it weirds me out a little? Like I get that incest is kinda... a thing in this but.. My Nohr sisters are really into having skinship I guess and my brothers are possessive if only because it’s war and I’m cool but it just feels like literally anyone is like “NO I WANNA TAKE CARE OF YOU” that this is the only scenario of me getting married that I can see. This is only inaccurate because I am not even courting silas but I don’t see anyone else sweating as much as he would.

Hey! I know who you are, it’s DEATH, right?!

...but nobody came

I decided to hurt myself as much as possible so, after a super satisfying pacifist run I started a genocide run and I didn’t dance around with my name.

One of the character names I saw floating around for genocide was “Kira” which is just “Killer” and I was like, why not just let the monsters know exactly what you’re there to do? IN PLAIN ENGLISH, HELLO I AM YOUR DEATH.

I was telling Hannah that I felt so much like a snake in the grass, just waiting through the Tutoriel, holding her hand all the while knowing what I was about to wreak upon their world.  It tickled me especially when Flowey greeted me initially and said my name: “you’re them, aren’t you? DEATH?” and I KNEW IN MY HEART OF HEARTS THAT I WAS IN FOR A BAD TIME.

I laughed about it enough with Hannah but I can’t escape the feels going on. I cried after the spiders.

Regardless, I want to draw a horrifying frisk for every occasion but you guys know how I get about art.

Underboned 

seriously Papyrus and Sans, though. 

Hannah has pressured me into playing a game and I caved because I love Hannah. I’m not disappointed at all, not that I was expecting to be, but damn. She knew it’d hit me like a truck so here we are. I have coughed out laughs for the whole time I have played it and it’s motivation enough to see it through for the jokes alone.

All I’ll say is that I hate the fighting if only because I’m bad but the game is certainly creative like Hannah has told me.  The charm at the store page, even-- the only reviews they have listed are “I have slight issues with the UI 10/10″ and “The puzzles aren’t that impressive 10/10″ and I won’t spoil the beauty of the game by talking about anything other than the puns they are dishing out at me-- because there are a skeleton of them, as a wise Sans once said. 

Hannah’s tumblr (@mod2amaryllis) has spoilers all over it but I still only have a ghost of an idea of what I’m in for. I just know it’s gonna hit hard when it finally falls.  In the mean time I will take ominous quotes and the foreboding atmosphere in the game and continue to dodge as best I can.

Armellohnooooo 

BACKLOG TO CATCH US UP: I really like Armello, btw. It was either gonna be this or “Look Laura hasn’t talked to family or friends in a few days.”

I’m always into board game kinda games so Armello is right in my business-- I get this fire inside and I have to win. Funny thing about that though, is it’s luck based so sometimes (a lot of the time) it doesn’t go in my favor and it’s the scraping-to-get-by adrenaline until hopefully I do win. (it’s hit or miss, of course)

For me, Brun in the hands of the AI constantly kicks me around the entire game regardless of how many “risky” quest rewards I reap.  I have played as Brun and done well and not well alike but he’s unbeatable as a computer, I guess? I think it’s because he’s the tankiest piece of art on there. He and I were supposed to be best friends forever but he just baps me into submission every time I’m in a game against him.

That being said, Barnaby is seriously so cute to me-- he’s my go-to off tank. Brun wins my heart because he’s a bear with scars and a skull belt but -damn-

HE’S A KNIGHT BUNNY. Also how he rocks in his battle animation? I died.

Prototype 1 and 2 are available remastered on xbox one tomorrow. Probably ps4 also. There's another two games I'll throw on my backlog Damn it.
