If you're planning a backpacking trip to one of Ohio's backpacking trails, you should consult this website first. BackpackOhio.com has all the info you'd ever need (and more) to plan a trip. And, they have maps. Good maps!

The folks at BackpackOhio offer downloadable PDF maps for each one of Ohio's backpack trails. For a reasonable buck, you can download an eTrailsOhio map for any of Ohio's backpack trails. Every PDF JJ and I have purchased has included a detailed and easy-to-read topographic map. Much, much better than the "official" maps you find at the trail.

Also, every PDF has some additional reading, including a basic history of the trail, notes on what to expect (referenced by trail mile), and photos of points-of-interest on the trail itself.

After we purchased our first eTrailsOhio PDF for Burr Oak State Park, we haven't left home without one.
