So we decided to give it a try. We ordered hatching eggs from a reputable supplier, Ayam Cemani and Mosaic chicken eggs. Currently on day seven, but this photo was taken the day before we turned on the Turner and heat. Had to let the air cell settle a little after being shipped.

My apple trees came! They're old varieties, like 1700-1800's old. The taller one is a winter banana and the shorter one is a mountain rose. The banana is so named because the fruits ripen near winter and supposedly have a banana scent and the Mountain Rose has pink inside! My research said that even self-fertile apple trees produce better with two, so I figured, best case, two beautiful trees and way more fruit, worst case, hopefully one of them lives.
