The sweet and spicy glaze on these Sweet and Spicy Cajun Pig Shots goes well with the smoky taste of bacon and sausage, making them a great snack or appetizer for your next barbecue.
Ingredients: 1 pound bacon strips. 1 pound pork sausage. 1/4 cup brown sugar. 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning. 1/4 cup barbecue sauce. 1/4 cup cream cheese. 2 tablespoons jalapeno peppers, diced.
Instructions: Warm up your grill to 375F 190C for cooking without direct heat. Each sausage piece should be wrapped in a half-strip of bacon. Mix the Cajun seasoning and brown sugar together, then sprinkle it on top of the sausages that have been wrapped. Put the pig shots on the grill and cook them for 45 minutes, or until the sausages are fully cooked and the bacon is crispy. In a bowl, mix barbecue sauce, cream cheese, and diced jalapenos together until everything is well mixed. After taking the pig shots off the grill, brush them with the barbecue sauce mix. Put the pig shots back on the grill for five more minutes to let the sauce caramelize. Enjoy while hot!
