As someone who has done some caption work, seeing bad captions hurts me so much. Like it almost physically pains me.
Whether the timing is off, the spelling is wrong, or when you can tell there is a computer automatic process that no one double checked it; I get so close to losing my goddamn mind.
For example, the captions for the show that my parents are currently watching - Foyle’s War - all the apostrophes are fours.
“We4ll wait.”
“She4s right over there.”
“I can4t do it. It4s just to hard.”
“Jame4s son is over there.”
Out of all the caption errors I have seen, this one…
