Raz Mesinai / Badawi
Been a while since I did one of these for just me. As it turns out, I have three Badawis I could use to practice them in a tinyart set, so meet the babs! -Erasthmus the Seer: Erasthmus is a fairly intense Badawi, bedecked in finest silks and jewelry, announced first by the dangling chimes and rain-bells hanging from her curling horns. Her water has healing properties and can even bring the newly dead to life. When her lower eyes are closed and the blind top ones are open, she sees visions of the immediate present or of the future. -Mynas the Ghost: Mynas doesn’t know how he died, much less remembering when. He remembers falling asleep before being woken by one of the elder gods, whom he hangs around now. Mynas is a fun-loving creature despite his unfortunate circumstance, and due to his currently undead status, creates a mist from his horns instead of water by drawing moonlight into his tail-sails. -Esmael the Wandering Oasis: Esmael is an older Badawi, laid-back and known for his wanderlust. His water is also known for its healing abilities, but it cannot revive the dead. Instead, he lets it flow, and the sprouting springs and flora where he stays for longer periods make his trail apparent to those who need it or are looking for him. So now Badawi are also part of the repertoire for tinyart, which is good because I'm hosting both my 1-inch and 2-inch tinyart commissions! i’m gonna make an actual tumblr post for commissions soon gimme a moment Badawi are a closed species owned by Enteli - you can go see what she has on stock, or order a custom one!

Inktober, day 15: Salaam, djinnyia
“Monster Girls & Pretty Boys” is an #inktober project that reframes the “Beauty and the Beast” narrative trope by genderbending it. It hopes to raise a reflexion on romantic relationships, femininity and womanhood, social and cultural norms, beauty standards, difference and the male gaze.

Can a new government transform Greece's fortunes? HARDtalk's Zeinab Badawi speaks exclusively to the new Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis in Athens. After the centre-right New Democracy party won the elections, he takes over a country traumatised and impoverished by a decade of economic austerity. In his first interview with the international broadcast media since his decisive victory over the populist Syriza party, Zeinab Badawi asks Prime Minister Mitsotakis whether he can deliver on his campaign promises.
The Puck story in 1992's Marvel Comics Presents #99, in which he fights Arcade, is pretty terrible; the noteworthy thing about it, though, is that it's co-plotted by Raz Mesinai, a.k.a. the electronic musician Badawi! Co-written by Paula Foye, drawn by Joe Madureira and Josef Rubinstein.
Some things exist in our lives for but a brief moment. And we must let them go on to light another sky.
