What’s one song you cannot stand?
Iggy Azalea. Specifically “Fancy.” If it comes on when I’m in the car the radio gets turned off for the next five minutes.
Consequently, what’s one song you could listen to every single day for the rest of your life?
Alphamatic Replacement, perhaps? Alphamatic Replacement is reeeeeeally good.
If you could be anyone for one day, who would you be?
THIS IS A VERY DIFFICULT QUESTION. But I’d say a writer, either Tamora Pierce or Garth Nix or J.K. Rowling. I want to know where their dedication and discipline comes from, and see what they do to help themselves reach their goals!
What piece of media has stayed with you in a way nothing else has?
KINGDOM HEARTS. jfc, Kingdom Hearts. KH is what got me started in fandom, which has led to everything else in my life!
Are you allergic to anything?
Cleaning, and I mean that very literally. I’m allergic to dust and mold and animal dander, and cleaning generally kicks up at least two of those. It’s so bad that I’ve been banned from helping my parents tear up carpet in their house to renovate the downstairs (the carpet padding underneath has basically dissolved into dust), and friends can vouch that when I moved out of our most recent place my face was actually puffy from all the cleaning.
Do you remember one of your weirdest dreams? If yes, what was it?
Oh man, I don’t remember the details of it but I once had a dream that involved a plot to sacrifice an entire room full of people (who thought they were simply taking a tour of an old historical house). My friends and I were racing around trying to find whatever artifacts had to be in place to begin the ritual before those trying to do the ritual could place them (I think it was a ritual that had a side-effect of keeping them alive? I remember that the dude who’s about to come up was very very ancient creepy old). Well, at one point I’m talking with a friend standing near the top of the stairs, and long story short creepy old dude pops up and I’m so startled that I instinctively shove him and he goes falling down the stairs. ...and does not get back up at the bottom of them. And it was very unsettling, but also a very interesting dream!
Do you have a favorite subject in school? What is it? If not, what’s something you enjoy learning on your own?
English because I am a total nerd.
What’s your favorite drink?
Hot chocolate if it’s made well! Hot chocolate made with milk is absolutely delicious~
Do you prefer warm climates or cold?
I PREFER TEMPERATE CLIMATES. Somewhere between 45º and 80ºF is perfect for me. My favorite season is fall because of it getting back to moderate temperatures!
If you could have any animal for a pet what would it be?
A FOX. Or perhaps a lion that I could ride into battle!
What’s the best compliment you’ve ever given?
The best compliment I’ve ever given, or the best compliment I’ve ever been given? For the former, I have no idea because I don’t have a scale of compliments lsdkfjsdlkfdsjkf generally the ones where I’ve taken time to write something heartfelt rather than a “no dude you’re awesome”?
As for the latter, I think I just received it this past weekend. A very close friend that I look up to very much told me that a lot of people, once they start winning awards and accolades, tend to forget where they come from and start stepping on the little people to get what they want. But she doesn’t see me ever becoming that sort of a person. And it really meant a lot to me, because I know when I was younger I would have been that sort of person, and it’s something about myself that I’ve been very conscious of and strive to move past. So. Yeah.
