You opened the drawer, running your hands over the multi-colored garments within. It had been a long time since these particular clothing items had seen the light of day. You surveyed your options: red lace, pale pink satin, green chiffon, and purple silk. You pondered long and hard, wondering which ensemble would be most pleasing to your man– it was his welcome home party today, afterall, and you wanted to welcome him in style.
Sometime later, you stood in front of the mirror, modeling a red lace teddy and analyzing its effect. Unsatisfied, you removed it, dropping it onto the floor in frustration. Nothing seemed quite right and you had no time to go out and buy something else, with your boyfriend being due in–
You jumped at the sound of the doorbell.
You frowned, looking over at the clock. Baekhyun wasn’t supposed to arrive home for another two hours and you definitely weren’t expecting anyone. Hurrying to your closet, you threw on a tan trench coat, making sure the thick fabric covered all the important bits.
Walking barefoot to the front door, you checked the video feed, surprised to see the faces of your boyfriend’s best friends–Chanyeol, Jongdae, Minseok, Junmyeon, and Kyungsoo, and Yixing, carrying an assortment of party decorations and snacks. You had no idea what they were doing here–sure, they knew Baekhyun was coming home today, but he’d been very clear that he wanted the first night to be with you and you alone.
Chanyeol’s voice booms through the speaker: “Y/N-ah, we’re here!”
You cracked the door open part-way. “Hey, guys”, you greeted lamely. “I–uh–wasn’t expecting you…what are you doing here?”
“We’re here for the surprise welcome home party for Baekhyun, of course!” Minseok fist pumped the air, clearly jazzed for a celebration.
You furrowed your eyebrows in confusion. At no point did you recall having a conversation about a party of any kind. “Right…the surprise party…for Baekhyun…”, you laughed nervously, struggling to play along.
Junmyeon’s smile faded. “Yeah…the one that Chanyeol asked you about last week…right?”
When you gave no response, Junmyeon looked to Chanyeol, who had suddenly gone very quiet, for an answer. “Right, Chanyeol?”
Chanyeol handed the balloons off to Minseok. “Hyung, I definitely texted Y/N about this last week,” he said, confident at first. He scrolled through his phone to locate the afore-mentioned texts. Gradually, his shoulders slumped, as he tried and failed to find what he was looking for. “Sorry,” he said, looking abashed.
“So, let me get this straight…Y/N had no idea we were coming and we just showed up here, out of the blue?” Junmyeon looked ready to give the taller, yet younger man a stern scolding.
You intervened, hoping to ward off a fight and avoid making a scene in the hallway. It’s fine–really,” you said, lying through your teeth. “I’m sure Baekhyun will be excited to see you.” You held the door open and waited as they filed through, returning Kyungsoo’s small smile of sympathy as he passed by.
~*~
You were overwhelmed. No, that was an understatement. You were really overwhelmed. What you’d hoped to be a quiet night with just you and your lover had turned into nothing short of a circus. You watched in a daze as Chanyeol hung the piñata filled with sour candies. In the kitchen, Kyungsoo grilled meats, rolled kimbaps, and seasoned side dishes. Minseok was setting up the bar area and Jongdae was getting a song playlist going. When Chanyeol started vetoing most of his song choices, Jongdae could be heard loudly exclaiming, “Ahhh waeee?!”
Looking for a bit of peace, you quietly slipped out the door. You made your way to the stairwell, still clothed only in your tan trench coat, having been unable to change due the boys’ presence in every room of your apartment. With a sigh, you plopped down on the top step. Nothing’s going according to plan, you thought miserably. You’d wanted nothing more than to have Baekhyun all to yourself, to touch him and hold him as much as you wanted. To fall asleep in his arms, his familiar scent on your pillow.
You hid your face in your lap, tears burning in your eyes and slipping traitorously down your cheeks. You didn’t want to be sad, not when the day you’d been waiting for had finally come.
“Y/N?”
You looked up, struggling to see through your tears. But, you didn’t need to see to know he was there. You’d recognize his voice anywhere. It was your Baekhyun, coming home to you at last.
Dropping his pack, he came to you immediately. “What’s the matter, baby?” He held your face in his hands and tenderly wiped the tears away.
You threw your arms around him, holding him close, remembering what it felt like to be held. More tears came and went, soaking into Baekhyun’s coat, as the events from today melded with the long, lonely nights of waiting. How long you stood there, you didn’t know–seconds, minutes, years, it didn’t matter, time stood still.
“Y/N, why were you sitting in the stairwell crying? Did something happen?” Baekhyun ran his hand rhythmically over your hair, making it hard for you to concentrate.
You hummed into his chest. “It’s a long story, Baek,” you said quietly.
“Yeah? Well, let’s go inside and you can tell me all about it.” Baekhyun bent to gather his pack in one arm, keeping the other tightly wound around you, clearly wanting as little space as possible between you. He led you out of the stairwell and down the hallway.
“Baek, before we go in, there’s something I need to–”
Before you could finish your sentence, the door opened and you and Baekhyun were pulled through. Confetti poppers exploded around you as the boys swarmed Baekhyun for hugs and enthusiastic back pats.
Looking over Jongdae’s shoulder, Baekhyun mouthed, “What?”, confusion obvious on his face.
Resigned, you simply shrugged, not wanting to ruin all the hard work the boys had put into everything. Kyungsoo offered you a drink and you accepted, noticeably parched after your waterworks episode earlier.
As the swarm thinned and the boys went to grab food or drinks, Baekhyun made his way back over to you. “So this is what you were trying to tell me about, babe?”
You nodded your head affirmatively, learning towards Baekhyun so the other boys wouldn’t hear. “Yeah, they showed up about two hours ago…unannounced,” you admitted.
“Chanyeol?” he asked, clearly understanding of the score.
“Who else?” you asked rhetorically, a small smile in your voice.
Baekhyun sighed, gathering both your hands in his. “I know this isn’t what either of us were envisioning for tonight, but soon they’ll be out of here and then it’ll just be the two of us. And then the real fun begins,” he said, wiggling his eyebrows suggestively.
That definitely sounded good to you.
“That coat looks kind of warm, Y/N. Do you want to take it off?” Baekhyun moved to undo the belt at your waist.
You assured him you were fine, skillfully moving out of reach before you happened to flash anyone at the party.
Undeterred, Baekhyun continued: You don’t need a coat in here, Y/N, you’ll get overheated–”
“Baekhyun, stop,” you hissed. Lowering your voice so you were sure no one would hear, you added: I’m. Not. Wearing. Any. Clothes. Under Here.”
Baekhyun’s pupils dilated and he released the breath he’d been holding in a loud whoosh. He slid his arms around your waist, pulling you close till his lips rested at your ear. “You’re naked under there?”
His voice had taken on a strained quality, spurring electrical pulses in your belly.
Baekhyun turned abruptly to address the guests in the room. “Everybody out.”
The room stopped and all eyes turned to you and him. It was Chanyeol who spoke first.
“But hyung, we planned this whole part for you, we can’t just–”
Kyungsoo grabbed Chanyeol and pulled him to the door, muttering that he should “be quiet” and “read the room”. The others took their cues, emptying the place in record time, with Junmeyon assuring you they’d be back tomorrow to clean up.
Finally alone.
Before you could blink, Baekhyun pulled you in for a mind-numbing kiss, pointedly fingering belt on your coat. “Now, let’s see the present that my baby got for me,” he whispered, a wicked smile on his face. “And look, she was so kind as to wrap it up.”
You squealed as Baekhyun hoisted you over his shoulder and carried you into the bedroom.
After depositing you on the bed, Baekhyun slowly loosened the ties at your waist, his hands shaking with anticipation after so long.
Watching as Baekhyun took in the sight of you, you were reminded of one of the most basic tenets of fashion: sometimes simple is better. And as far as this outfit went, you were very inclined to agree.

SYNOPSIS ⇁ His girlfriend wins Best Female Artist at MAMA and he watches her perform. But before the night’s over, he rewards with an award of his own mAgNuM dOnG
REQUESTED BY ⇁ anon.
WORD COUNT ⇁ 1.1K
A/N ⇁ Okay I was supposed to write this shit a long time ago so instead of the original request where the reader wins the Best Female Artist at MAMA 2017, I’m gonna say 2018 because that was recent.
“I wanted to thank my fans. My family. That special someone. Everyone who has helped me get to this point. This means so much to me. Thank you all so much.” You say lastly, ending your acceptance speech you had come up with at last minute.
That special someone was in the crowd right now, clapping for you. He knew he couldn’t show too much emotion or he’d be caught on a fan cam and rumors would start. He didn’t get to show you how proud he was until after the ceremony, after your performance.
As the two of you made it back home, he couldn’t even keep his hands off of you. His arms attached, either on or around your waist, his fingertips digging into your sides rather tightly. Tighter than the dress you wore tonight on stage, in front of everyone. Your seniors, your juniors, your friends. His seniors, his seniors, his friends, his groupmates. All eyes were on you. Camera far and wide got a glimpse of you in that skin-tight dress in which you helped your stylist pick out.
You just really liked the dress, you didn’t expect to get that much attention from it. You had trended, not just for your performance, not just for you winning an award, but for your fashion choices. All of the nation was talking about it.
‘Her portions are so amazing! Y/N fighting!’
‘Did you watch her performance? Though it was sexy, it was also classy. A classy-sexy queen !’
‘It’s what she deserves.’
‘No wonder she’s on top of the world and did so good this year. She’s unproblematic, loved by the public and has the body that everyone wants. Y/N deserves more than just Best Female Artist. She had the best album this year, hands down.’
Baekhyun couldn’t help but fantasize taking your dress off as you skipped across the stage and accepted your award. He couldn’t help but fantasize you performing your routine in private just for him. He couldn’t help but fantasize about you stripping yourself in front of him.
You weren’t dumb, you knew exactly what he wanted. But you had wanted him to say it first. You wanted to hear the magic words fall from his lips before you could do anything. Seeing how handsy he was being, it wouldn’t be long before he would say those magic words.
You felt a tug on his blazer in which he had put on you before leaving the venue. You chose to ignore it, knowing how needy he would get. You felt a tight grab on your wrist, pulling you back and against the wall. Your back hit the wall.
You let out a small sigh before letting out a giggle, staring into his now dark, lustful eyes. He enclosed any space between the two of you, pressing his hardened cock against you, making sure you could feel how excited he was for you.
“How about I give you another award to go along with your MAMA award tonight?” He smirked devilishly.
“I mean, I think I can take two awards.” You play along.
He pulls you in for a passionate kiss, slowly making his way down to your jaw. Your head fell back against the wall, giving him more access to your neck. He leaves open mouthed wet kisses along your jaw, before gently biting the spot in which your jaw meets your neck, his tongue and teeth worrying a mark on your skin.
You let out a small breathless noise in which had snuck out.
He smirked against your neck, speaking softly. “Please do that again.”
“I can’t wait anymore. Please just me, Baek.” You begged, small whimpers leaving your mouth afterward, pushing yourself forward, grinding your pelvis onto his hardened cock. He could feel your bare warmth on his clothed cock. “You didn’t wear any panties?”
You shook your head no. Without a second to waste, he grabbed you by the back of your legs, wrapping your legs around him tightly, inching his way toward the bedroom, as you wrapped your lips and his into a heated kiss.
He laid you down on your shared bed softly. Not wanting to wait anymore, he stripped themselves. As you started to take off your dress, he grabbed your wrists, stopping you. “I wanna do it.”
“But you got to strip yourself.” You pouted.
“Yeah, that was because unlike you, I was wearing underwear. With the slightest breeze, everyone could have seen what belongs to me.” His voice, slowly becoming quieter and quieter.
He flips you over, grabbing the zipper of your dresser, sliding it down to reveal absolutely nothing underneath. He let out a small hum. “Here I was thinking about rewarding you.”
“Please reward me, baby. I’ve been so good lately.”
He laid soft kisses up your back, coming up to your ear. “Okay, baby.”
You turned yourself around, pulling his lips into a passionate kiss. His hands, roaming your body, slowly making their way down to your already glistening warmth. He hummed against your lips before pulling away. “You’re already so wet for me. I could just slide right into you.”
“Just do it, please.” You begged, not wanting to waste any more time. You just wanted to be one with him. “You still on the pill?”
You nodded your head. He pecked your forehead. “Good girl.”
He positioned inside in between your legs, wrapping your legs around his waist. Without a second to waste, he pushed his cock into you. You took in a sharp breath, digging your fingertips into Baekhyun. He let out a hiss. You arched your back, as Baekhyun began a quick pace into you, only to stop as your breath began to hike up. He pulled all the way out, slamming back into you.
You let out a loud yelp before a moan of his name. He continued this pattern a few more times, trying to make both of you last a bit longer. He picked up his pace, his balls slapping your ass.
“F-Fuck...Baek, I’m gonna cum.” You let out, trying not to moan.
“You gonna cum for me, baby?” He questioned.
You nodded your head, biting down on your lip. He rubbed your clit, trying to bring you closer to your climax. With a loud curse, you let out around him, squirming under him, as he continued his quick, and rough place, his fingers still rubbing your clit as he threw out your orgasm for as long as he could. You whimper from the overstimulation.
Baekhyun tried to chase after his climax, letting go inside of you. He pumped himself inside of you before collapsing next to year with a small smile. He pulled you in for a tight cuddle.
“Thank you for my award babe. Should I make an acceptance speech about this one too?”
28, 29 and 36 for baekhyun , angst with fluff ending please
28.- Say that again and you will regret it.
29.- What did you say?
36.- I hate you.
✿.。.: .:。✿
You laughed loudly at the joke Chanyeol did again.
Baekhyun, your boyfriend, invited you over to the exo’s dorms to spend sometime with him, but, as soon as you entered to the dorms, Chanyeol pounced on you giving you a big bear hug and since then, he has been laughing and making jokes with you all the time.
Baekhyun was pissed, of course he was.
He didn’t understand why you were with his friend when you could have been spending time with him, your boyfriend.
"Hey y/n, look at this." Chanyeol said showing you his phone.
Baekhyun looked at the both of you with the corner of his eyes.
You were close, too close for his liking.
You laughed again and placed your hand on his biceps and thats when Baekhyun had it all.
Your boyfriend get up from the sofa and grabbed your arm hardly.
"We are leaving." he said in a harsh tone and he didn’t even let you say goodbye to the boys.
"What’s wrong with you?" you asked.
"Are you seriously going to ask that?" He said looking at the road.
"Of course! I don’t know what has got all over you!" you said raising your voice.
"Well you should since I’ve not been the one who has been acting like Chanyeol was your boyfriend." He complained.
"What? Baekhyun, you know that we are good friends… for God’s sake Baekhyun, He is your friend!" you yelled.
"IT DIDN’T SEEM LIKE! IT SEEMED LIKE YOU PREFERED HIS COMPANY BEFORE MINE." He shouted back.
"Say that again and you will regret it." You warned.
"What? You don’t like being called what you really are? A slut who likes to chase after his boyfriend’s friends?" He spat with anger.
You were taken aback with his words, Baekhyun has never told you something like that.
"What did you say?" you asked looking at him with disbelief.
"You have heard me." He said.
"Stop the car." You said.
Baekhyun looked at you confused, but you weren’t looking at him, instead, you had your eyes filled with tears that you didn’t want to spill.
"Y/n, I…"
"I said… stop, the fucking, car Byun Baekhyun." your voice cracked.
Baekhyun did what he was told and you get off the car.
You looked at him one more time and before you closed the door, you talked again. "I hate you."
✿.。.: .:。✿
Some days after the fight, you have been avoiding your boyfriend, if you could still call him “boyfriend”.
But even though you ignored Baekhyun, you still talked with Chanyeol, who was the only one who tried to cheer you up.
Chan🐶: Don’t worry, I’ll be there in 5.
You looked at your phone and smiled, Chanyeol suggested to spend the whole day watching films because he didn’t want to see you sad anymore, and you were beyond grateful, he was being the best friend ever.
You heard the front door being knocked, and once you opened it, you were surprised to see Baekhyun instead of Chanyeol.
"Y/n, before you close the door, I’m sorry, I’m really really sorry for all the things I said to you, I really regret it." He said.
You frowned to hold back your tears.
" Why can’t you understand that I only love you?" you asked.
Baekhyun didn’t say a word, mostly because he didn’t know what to answer.
"Chanyeol is not the one who makes me happy Baekhyun, and when you said that… You really hurted me." You said.
Baekhyun couldn’t help but hug you, hug you like he has never done before.
You placed your head in the crook of his neck and hugged him too.

This is hell. Why was someone up there so mad at you? Not only your boyfriend was out of town and his flight was cancelled, so he couldn’t get to you; Father Winter was being super mean.
Because not only you were to celebrate Christmas alone, you were to celebrate it out of home.
“That sucks, baby. I’m so sorry.” The voice of your angel was slightly muffled through the speaker of your phone, as you pouted at your cast.
“Who knew I would slip on that stupid piece of ice…” you mumbled almost to yourself, fingers playing with the thread on your blanket.
“I’m just glad nothing worse happened. You could have split your head open on that last step.”
“I wish I split it open…”
“___.”
“What? I’m serious!” you know you were being dramatic and childish, but you couldn’t help yourself. This whole year was such a tough ride, and you were looking forward to Christmas. You loved the candy canes, the wreaths, the mistletoes, the wine, the pastries, the whole feeling that makes you so warm that you feel like you don’t need a coat even when standing at the Christmas market.
“I know, baby, and I promise when I’ll come back I’ll slap skates on the wheelchair and take you out for a whirl.”
“Baekhyun!” you couldn’t help but laugh at the thought, and his twinkling laughter made the dull hospital room light up a slightest bit.
“I promise, baby, the Christmas charm is coming.”
“It doesn’t feel too Christmas-y here…” you mumbled with a slight pout and Baekhyun clicked his tongue.
“None of that unbeliever mumble. Let the Christmas magic work.”
“I’ll be a believer when I will see you here.”
“Ah-ah, my dear grasshopper. Time to rest. I promise when you open your eyes again, you’ll believe in Christmas.”
Psh, yeah, right, you thought sulkily. Nevertheless, you bid your love good night and tried to get some shut eye, your painkillers chasing the dreams towards you quicker than before.
-
It couldn’t be morning just yet, because the nurse wasn’t around to check out your vitals, but you still felt as if somebody was in the room. There was a red light gently flickering behind your eyelids, and you felt a weight on your bed next to your cast, due to the dip in the material. You groaned in protest, trying to roll over onto your side to get away from the red light, but a firm, but caring grip on your leg prevented you to do so.
“Calm down, princess…” you weren’t sure if you were dreaming or not, because it really did sound like your boyfriend, who was supposed to be a thousand miles away from you at this point. Your brows furrowed as you squirmed into the sheets, trying to burrow yourself back into your dreams.
“What…Baekhyun?” an almost sassy ‘Uhm’ sounded from the corner of your bed.
“The one and only.”
“What….what are you…?”
“I’m bringing you Christmas, babe.” What? At this statement, you had to open your eyes, and you most definitely thought that you were dreaming.
Not only you saw your boyfriend, cheeks dirty with glitter and a blinding, smug smile on his face, but your at first stale and bland hospital room was transformed. Gone were the naked walls; the Christmas tree that was pushed into the corner was flickering with different lights, its branches heavy with decorations. Fake cotton snow was glued to the windows, Christmas lights hung from the walls, even your own bed had a Christmas-themed blanket thrown over it, and above you hung a mistletoe. The silly duck had the audacity to stick candy canes into your cast where your toes were peeking out, and the creator of all this, Byun Baekhyun himself, was currently doodling with markers over your cast, making it come alive under his fingers.
“What…what’s all this…” you mumbled, almost 100% sure that this was all a dream. Baekhyun just grinned, abandoning his work to come up and place himself under the mistletoe with you.
Six little black numbers printed on the inside of your wrist.
10 - 07 - 17
As permanent as a tattoo and as mysterious as the Bermuda Triangle.
You had no idea where it came from or how it came to be on your wrist. You didn’t even know what the numbers meant. But it felt important. There was something in the very back of your mind that told you your spontaneous tattoo signified something - although you had no idea what.
Like any other eighteen year old who doesn’t know the answer to something, you took to the internet in search for answers. Reading through the results, you scrolled through the explanations, each seeming crazier than the one before. Potential coordinates to the hidden kingdom of El Dorado? A sign from God predicting the end of the world? Every conspiracy theory was more ludicrous than the last.
There was one website that caught your attention, a girl’s blog who wrote about a story similar to yours. On her 18th birthday, she woke up to a tattoo on her wrist of six numbers, just like yours. For her, the numbers represented a date. The day she met her soulmate. Reading her story, how she fell down a flight of stairs and broke her leg, how the paramedic who came to her rescue had the exact same six numbers tattooed on his wrist, how something in her heart told her that this man was everything she could ever want, it was like a fairytale.
For some reason, the girl’s story seemed to resonate with you more than other crackpot speculations. Perhaps it was the hopeless romantic in you, but a tattoo of the date you might meet your soulmate definitely wasn’t the worst birthday present.
And so you waited.
Days. Months. Years.
Time went by and the six numbers printed on your wrist became mostly forgotten. Sometimes your fingers traced them when you couldn’t sleep, your mind drifting off into different scenarios of how you’d meet your soulmate. Maybe he would be someone you bumped into on your way to work or one of the guys your friends introduced you to.
The more you thought about it, the more you wished it all to be true. The tattoo. The date. It all had to mean something. Why couldn’t it signify your soulmate? You started to long for the man who would hold your heart. The man who would love you unconditionally.
Whoever he was.
—
Waking up to the annoying sound of your alarm, you rolled over onto your front and threw your arms out to reach for your phone and shut it up. It was early, the light of dawn peeking up over the skyline through the far window on the other side of your room. You checked the time on your phone but got distracted by something else: the date.
1o - 07 - 17
It was today.
Somehow, somewhere, on this day, you would meet the love of your life. That was if the story about your tattoo was true. You believed it was, and that was enough for you.
A quick glance at your wrist made you smile, your thumb tracing over the six numbers. The thought of meeting your soulmate today made you practically jump out of bed. Your stomach was a bundle of nerves and doubt, but there was excitement fluttering in there too, making your whole body seem to buzz.
You wanted to race to get ready, eager to start your day. However, you didn’t want to meet your soulmate looking like a mess. You took a warm shower, washing your hair with your sweet-smelling shampoo that left a vanilla aroma lingering around you. With your necessary cup of coffee in your hand, you sat at the little vanity table in your bedroom and started applying your daily makeup, the radio playing softly in the background. You decided to let your hair dry naturally in waves - your mum always said you looked prettiest when your hair was in natural waves. By the time your coffee mug was empty, you were choosing something to wear, going with a short denim dress that cinched in at the waist and black knee-high heeled boots.
Checking the time, you realised you spent too much time getting ready and now you were going to be late opening up the shop. You threw your bag together and ran out of the door, toast in your mouth, your heart high with the prospect of meeting your soulmate. You only just made it to the bus in time.
On the entire journey to work, you were constantly looking around the bus, alert to anyone who might have the same tattoo as you. Every guy that got on made you sit up a little straighter in your seat but none of them were the one. You felt like when you met him, you would know it. Something inside you would just tell you.
You were so distracted, you almost missed your stop.
As you headed up the high street towards your store, you spotted your best friend Mia outside, her long pastel pink hair tied up in a high ponytail. Mia had been your best friend since you were babies. Your mothers were best friends, so naturally you gravitated towards each other. Since then the pair of you had been inseparable. You went to the same schools all the way up to university, and then when you graduated, you started up your own boutique together.
“Good morning beautiful,” she exclaimed cheerfully as you approached, handing you an iced coffee while she started opening the store. “You’re looking particularly gorgeous today.”
You grinned bashfully, sipping on your coffee. “It is a Friday. I thought I’d make an effort,” you replied covertly, eyes watching the street still. “I thought you were going to dye your hair purple last night?” you remembered, turning back to your best friend while she opened the glass doors of the store.
Mia shrugged, letting you in first and then locking the doors behind her. “I decided to stay pink a little longer. It matched the heels I bought for tonight,” she explained, following you to the back where your stockroom and office were. “You are still coming tonight?”
“I’ve been looking forward to a Long Island Iced Tea all week.” You smiled back at your best friend and sat down at your desk, looking down at the little numbers on your wrist. Maybe you’d meet him at the bar tonight.
“That’s my girl,” Mia cheered cutely.
—
You weren’t much use at work, your mind was too distracted by the six numbers on your wrist and who they could lead you to. Every customer who came in would make you freeze on the spot in anticipation, but none of them were the one. You couldn’t explain it but you knew if you met him, your heart would know.
However when you were finally closing the store up at the end of the day, you’d had no such feeling and you couldn’t help but feel disappointed. You were sure the reason for your sudden tattoo was for your chance to find love but maybe you’d been building your hopes up all these years. Maybe one of the other theories you’d read about were correct.
Were you about to find El Dorado instead?
Mia nudged you in the ribs, looking up from her handheld mirror she was using to reapply her eyeliner to frown at you. “Are you alright? You’ve been acting funny all day,” she mused softly, pouting her lips together.
“Just a little tired,” you replied quickly, shaking your head to clear your mind and then looking back down at your desk to count out your takings for today. Friday was always one of your busiest days. “I’ll be fine after a cocktail or two,” you joked lightheartedly.
“Then hurry up and count the money,” your best friend answered back, staring at you a little longer before turning her attention back to her eyeliner.
After counting up your takings for the day and securing everything in the safe, you let Mia retouch your makeup. She was the more creative one out of the two of you. She handled most of the fashion decisions for the store while you put your business degree to good use. Just before leaving, she made your eye makeup a bit more dramatic and gave you a dark berry lip. When she was happy, you both grabbed your bags and headed out.
The two of you locked up the store, walking up the high street arm in arm. The cocktail bar was the usual hangout for you and your friends, probably because it was the closest bar to the store and the drinks were cheap and very alcoholic.
Benny the bouncer recognised you immediately, pulling back the velvet barrier and letting you both pass. “Looking good this evening ladies,” he complimented sweetly in his deep voice, giving you a little wink.
“Such a flirt Benny,” Mia teased, looking back over her shoulder and blowing him a kiss.
It wasn’t very busy inside the bar so it was easy to spot Lylo, Belle and Haylee crowding around your usual table. You could even hear their laughter over the muted dance music that was vibrating the floor. They spotted you both immediately and waved enthusiastically, lifting their drinks up and cheering.
“I’ll get you that Long Island,” Mia murmured directly into your ear, pushing you in the direction of the table while she headed to the bar.
Weaving around the tables, you ran up to your friends and wrapped your arms around Lylo’s waist, squeezing her tight. “You started without us!” you exclaimed, frowning at the rest of the table with a look of mock hurt.
“You were taking too long,” Lylo retorted loudly, turning in your arms to press her lips to your cheek.
Sliding onto the stool next to her, you tucked your bag behind you and flicked your hair out of your face. “That was my fault. I’ve been a bit distracted today,” you explained, glancing down at the numbers on your wrist.
“Anything wrong with the store?” Belle asked opposite you, sipping on her mojito elegantly.
You shook your head quickly. “The store is actually doing really well,” you replied, brushing your thumb across your tattoo in your lap. “My mind has just been in other places all day.” Even now, you were looking around the bar for someone you didn’t know, your heart still optimistic and hoping.
Haylee laughed lightly. “Is your mind here now?” she questioned.
“It better be,” Mia answered for you from behind, handing you a Long Island Iced Tea and sliding onto the seat between Belle and Haylee. “Because it is Friday ladies and I am determined for us all to have a good time,” she declared, lifting her cocktail over the the table.
“I’ll drink to that,” Lylo cheered, and everyone clinked their glasses together.
—
As the night went on, the cocktails helped you loosen up and have a little fun. Soon thoughts of tattoos and soulmates were replaced with laughter and dancing. You came to the conclusion that you were wrong. The six numbers on your wrist didn’t signify the date you would meet your soulmate. It was just a freak of nature. It didn’t mean anything.
Instead of worrying about what could or might happen, you decided to just let go and party with your old university friends. The night grew later and the bar turned the music up, the beat pulsing through the air. After a few cocktails, Lylo loved to think of herself as a Beyonce, her body itching for the dancefloor. It took a couple more drinks before the rest of you joined her.
You danced and swayed and smiled and laughed, forgetting everything else and living in the moment. The last thing on your mind was the small tattoo printed on your wrist.
You wanted to stay out all night but someone had to open up the store tomorrow and Mia was practically hanging off of Haylee as she swayed, so the responsibility fell to you. Checking the time on your phone, you dropped it back into your bag and swung it onto your arm. You weaved back around the tables until you found your friends dancing. “I’m going home,” you called out over the loud music into Belle’s ear.
She spun around and frowned, red painted lips pouting. “Definitely lunch on Sunday?” she asked loudly, giving your a brief hug.
You nodded and waved goodbye to everyone else, blowing them kisses until you were leaving the bar.
“Have you got a kiss for me too?” Benny asked, flashing his big blue eyes at you.
Outside the bar, the night’s air was a little chilly, your bare arms shivering. It was late, nearly midnight, but the city was only just waking up to bright lights and loud music. “Maybe next time Benny,” you giggled, hurrying up the street towards the row of taxis parked at the side of the road and climbing into the nearest one.
Ten minutes later, you were pulling up outside your apartment building.
You quickly paid the driver and got out, taken back by the two guys stumbling up to your building, one more drunk than the other judging by the way he had to be held. One of them you recognised: the drunk one lived a couple of floors above you. He wasn’t the one you were paying attention to though.
His friend, the one helping him remain standing, was the one your eyes immediately fell to. His floppy black hair covered his forehead, his face breathtakingly handsome and yet cute like a puppy too. He looked over at you with bright cinnamon coloured eyes as a wide smile stretched his pink lips and flashed his white teeth.
Feeling a little embarrassed to have been caught staring, you ducked your head a little, feeling the blush burn your cheeks. Still you couldn’t help yourself, peeking a glance and seeing him struggle under the weight of his friend. You rushed forward. “Want some help?” you offered quietly, locking your hands in front of you awkwardly.
“I’m not about to say no to a lady so pretty,” he sighed gratefully with a heart-stopping smile. He adjusted his hold on his friend while you ducked under his arm and held onto the drunk’s waist, steering him in the direction of your building. “I’m Baekhyun,” he told you spontaneously, leaning past his friend to smile at you.
“Nice to meet you,” you answered, introducing yourself and watching his smile grow even more. Your heart suddenly started to flutter like a hummingbird as you replayed his name over and over in your head. It sounded so… right.
Baekhyun ran his spare hand through his hair and looked down at the floor. “Do you live here too?” he asked, biting his bottom lip a little nervously. Were you the one making him nervous? Was this really happening?
“Yeah, for about a year now,” you told him easily, feeling inexplicably safe with telling him such personal things about yourself. “I own a store on the high street so I moved here to be closer to the business.” Using your fob on your keys, you buzzed all three of you into the building.
“You own a store?” he stammered a little in disbelief. “Will I have shopped there before?”
You chuckled, leading him and his friend across the foyer to the elevator. “Not unless you secretly wear girl’s clothing?” you quipped to him.
Baekhyun laughed melodiously and threw his head back, the sound like music to your ears. “I have once but I can’t say I enjoyed it,” he hinted at, catching your eye and winking to you. Your insides immediately turned to jelly. “But that’s a story for another time when my best friend isn’t passed out between us.”
Was he asking you out?
Reaching forward, you pressed the button in the wall and called for the elevator, watching the numbers descend to the ground floor. You could feel his stare on your skin, leaving little goosebumps as his cinnamon eyes made you squirm on the spot. There was something about him that made you nervous and excited all at the same time.
“That’s a cool tattoo,” he commented as the elevator arrived, nodding his head to your wrist where the six numbers were - bold and black. “What is it exactly?”
You stepped into the elevator carrying his friend, holding your wrist out in front of you and staring down at the tattoo. “It’s just some numbers I got for my 18th birthday,” you told him, not feeling shy like you usually did when people asked about the numbers. “10 - 07 -”
“17?” Baekhyun finished, his lips slightly parted as his eyes searched your wrist for confirmation.
Then suddenly you felt the full weight of his friend before he inevitably collapsed onto the floor, his head flopping back onto the steel of the elevator.
Baekhyun had completely forgotten his friend and was just staring at you, taking off his jacket so he was standing in front of you in a black t-shirt. His body was slender but muscular, his arms strong and toned. His hands were long and gentle-looking but that wasn’t why you wanted to reach out and hold them. There was a little tattoo on the inside of his wrist … the exact same wrist your numbers featured on … the exact same six numbers that were printed on your skin printed on his too.
Baekhyun was … your soulmate?
“They are the same,” you stammered, completely speechless and unable to form a more coherent sentence. You felt overwhelmed with emotion: happiness and excitement and joy but also nervousness and a little bit of fear. Your heart was pounding hard and fast, your stomach filled with butterflies.
Stepping closer, Baekhyun lined his tattoo with yours, although your bodies never touched. “This is going to sound crazy.” he murmured a little breathlessly, his eyes looking up and meeting yours. “But do you believe in soulmates?”
You balked. Hearing the words leaving his mouth, made your heart skip a beat while it soared with happiness. Your knees started to shake and your legs felt weak. It was all real. He was real.
The story was true.
“You read the story on the internet too?” you said hesitantly.
His smile made your stomach flip. “It was the only thing that made sense,” he explained with a light laugh. “However I did think for a brief second that the numbers were going to lead me to El Dorado.”
“Me too,” you exclaimed, hands moving like a reflex to place themselves on his hard shoulders. “I started to think that it was all just a silly story. I’d gone all day and not one person had the same six numbers as me.” Your earlier disappointment had nothing on the pure elation you were feeling now. This man, admittedly this stranger, was your soulmate. Every cell in your body was screaming it out to you, nerve endings tingling, heart racing, palms sweating.
One of Baekhyun’s hands placed itself on your hip, while the other reached behind into his back pocket, pulling out a phone. “It’s one minute until midnight,” he told you, showing you his screen as proof.
You let a long sigh. Talk about leaving it to the last minute.
Looking up at his shining eyes, you felt the inexplicable need to kiss his lips. Maybe it was the cocktails catching up with you. Maybe it was because he was so handsome. Maybe it was because he was your soulmate. Even so, you reached up onto your tiptoes and pressed your lips to his.
As soon as you touched, your wrist burned with a flash of pain. The same thing must have happened to Baekhyun because he pulled back with a similar pained expression on his face. You held your wrist in front of you and stared down at the unmarked skin. “It’s gone,” you stuttered, turning your arm over and looking at the other just in case. But there was no tattoo anymore. The six numbers had disappeared as quickly as they came.
Baekhyun’s wrist no longer featured the numbers either. “I guess they were to help us find each other,” he replied, interlacing his fingers with yours and brushing his thumb across the patch of skin where your tattoo should have been. “Its work is done.”
You looked up at his smiling face and couldn’t help but beam with delight. “I bet it’s lucky your friend got so drunk he needed to be taken home,” you commented, glancing down at the practically comatose man on the elevator floor.
“Oh shit, Jongdae!”
Baekhyun quickly scrambled to pick his friend up off the floor, pressing the 10th floor button and letting the elevator doors finally close. You moved to help, letting Jongdae’s arm flop limply over your shoulders while you went to hold him by his waist. Instead your hand found Baekhyun’s, your fingers running up his arm and holding onto it at his elbow.
As the elevator whizzed up to the 1oth floor, you leaned forward a little to look past Jongdae. “How about after we tuck this one into bed, we go back to my apartment and I make us some late night coffee?” you offered shyly, slightly nervous that you had been too forward and direct.

Characters: Baekhyun x Reader
Genre: Romance, fluff, AU
Rating: Fluff, Angst
A/N: Hello, awesome people! I received a request for a !bodygu
Requested by an anon. I honestly feel like this deserves a part two. I’m not satisfied with the ending I chose. And if it gets enough notes, I’ll make it a part two.
Being you was hard enough with your group's debut coming up. You were leader and main vocalist. Just like lovely older sister, Kim Taeyeon. The leader and main vocalist of Girls' Generation. South Korea's girl group! Everyone knew Girls' Generation were the queens of the K-Pop genre. No one could touch them! You could only dream to get as much fame as your unni.
Your group debuted with an EP. "AURORA DEBUT WITH MELODY EP!" "SM ENTERTAINMENT'S NEW GIRL GROUP AURORA BREAKING RECORDS ALREADY!" "WILL SM'S NEW GIRL GROUP AURORA BECOME GIRL'S GENERATION?" That's what a lot of people saw your group as another Girls' Generation. Even before debut people was talking about you in particular. "(Your Stage Name, if not your real name) IS THE LITTLE SISTER OF TAEYEON OF GIRLS' GENERATION!" "(Your Stage Name) JUST LIKE HER SISTER BEING BOTH LEADER AND MAIN VOCALIST!" You hated being compared to Taeyeon. You loved your sister and everything, but the comparing got very annoying.
She was 28. You were 20. Taeyeon was the eldest in her group. You were a part of the maknae line. The eldest in your group was 25 years old. The maknae was 17 years old. Your debut was a huge success. You were breaking records set by many groups before you.
The good thing about SM was you could date. But the bad thing was were since you were with one of the best companies in indsutry the scandals of dating were terrible! You learned that from Taeyeon. Predebut you hated Baekhyun for the longest time.
Predebut
Today you were getting mentors to help you and your skills. You all stood in a line from your positions. From left to right: Visuals, Lead Dancer, Main Dancer, Lead Rapper, Main Rapper, Lead Vocal, and Main Vocal. You were on the very end. All of the mentors were in the room. The instructions were to listen for your name and mentor, then leave and start to get to know your mentor. There of course was seven mentors. Taeyeon, Tiffany, Seohyun, Amber, Luna, Irene, Chanyeol, Kai, and Baekhyun.
You tried your hardest not to stare Baekhyun done. He didn't know you existed. Taeyeon talked about having a little sister but he never got to meet you because you didn't stay at home. You lived in the dorm. Taeyeon decided to ignore his prenence. But you just couldn't. He broke your sister's heart.
They began to call off names. "Taeyeon and Hyun Ah." You frowned. Hyun Ah was the second main vocalist after you. Hyun Ah smiled and walked out of the room with your sister. Mi Sun, a lead vocal, whispered in your ear. "If Hyun Ah got your sister, who did you get?" "Hopefully Tiffany or Seohyun or Luna." The both of lightly chuckled.
Your chuckle caught Baekhyun's attention. He looked over to you and was mezmorized. Your beauty was different. You weren't a visual but you damn sure was beautiful. Chanyeol nugded his shoulder. "You're staring at Taeyeon's little sister."
His eyes widened and violently whispered. "That's Taeyeon's little sister?!" "You didn't know? She's a looker, I know. She's better than the visual who is actually the same age as you. Y/N is 20."
Baekhyun looked back at you to see your eye smile. It was adorable. He found himself enjoying it. "Baekhyun and Y/N." Your eyes widened. "WHAT?!" Mi Sun shouted. You looked at Baekhyun who had a smile on his face. 'Did he plan this?' You thought to yourself. You had no choice. You walked to the door where he was waiting for you. He opened the door for you. You wanted to throw up.
He took you one of the practice rooms. It was small but big enough for the two of you. There was two chairs in the middle of room. He sat in one, you sat in the other. He put his hand out for you to shake. "I'm Baekhyun. I hear you're Taeyeon's little sister." He greeted.
"I don't like you and I probably never will. You hurt my sister." You said honestly.
He wanted to be upset but he couldn't. He understood why you didn't. "I understand." He said quietly.
"You'll be my mentor until my debut then we'll never talk or hang out again. If Taeyeon finds out about you being my mentor, she'll flip. Don't act like you're my friend when it's just the two of us. We'll fake a friendship around the others but I want nothing to do with you, Byun Baekhyun." You explained coldly. You stood up and began to head for the door. He grabbed your wrist and held it tightly. "Look, Y/N. I'm sorry about your sister and I, but that doesn't mean we can't be friends."
"Being friends with you could risk the friendship I have with Taeyeon. Now let me go or-"
"Or what? You'll tell Taeyeon I did something to you. We can prove I did nothing to you but grab your wrist with a lie dectector test. Do we want to take your hatred for me that far?"
You stayed quiet. "That's what I thought. You know, acting tough won't get you anywhere. I know deep down, you don't hate me. Taeyeon and I are both over the break up, it's you who's not and there must be a reason why you aren't."
Your debut was getting closer and closer. You were informed that you'd no longer need the mentors, they were now a option. You were informed this about a week ago. You hated to admit it, but Baekhyun brought out the best in you. And you brought out the best in him. You felt like you sang the best when he was around. The other times were jut mediocre, in your opinion.
You liked to spend time with him. You just couldn't tell Taeyeon. For months she was clueless on who really was your mentor. You and your group member, Chae In, made up this plan to pretend Baekhyun was her mentor. And her mentor, Luna, was yours. And it of course worked becaue both Baekhyun and Luna were in on it as well. The people who actually knew Baekhyun was your mentor was your group members.
You had about a month and a half to go for your debut to come. Today you stayed late for your lesson. You looked at the clock. "Damn, it's eight at night."
"Oh, I'm sorry. I lost track of time. You haven't eaten, I know this amazing place, they make deliveries here. (Any Food Of Your Choice), right?"
You nodded. He pulled out his phone and ordered both of your meals. He ended the call and smiled at you. "Now, when they get here, a staff member will bring us our food. Wanna just chill for a bit?" He asked. You nodded.
He grabbed the remote and turned on a random song. "Nice to just chill, huh? I was in your shoes once. It's stressful and hard, huh?" He questioned.
You just nodded in agreement. You looked at him and felt this aura. Your felt butterflies in your stomach. You felt dizzy. Your fingers were shaking. our breathing began to be unsteady. "Y/N, are you okay?!" He grabbed both of your hand held them tightly.
"Breathe! Breathe! Do you need a nurse?" You shook your head and began to take deep breaths. Your breathing was steady. But the butterflies were still there, and they were getting worse. The dizziness was still there. And the aura was still there. "Don't scare me like that ever again." He smiled. You knew what you were going through, but you didn't want to admit to yourself. You were in love with him. You remember one of your members going through the same experience.
There was a knock on the door. "Come in!" A staff member walked in with a bag. "Food's here!" Baekhyun said happily. He jumped up and got grabbed the bag. "Thanks."
He sat back down and handed you your box while he got his. The two of you ate in silence as the music continued to play. About ten minutes later the both of you finished eating. "Oh, it's really late now. I'll walk you back to your dorm." "Oh, Baekhyun. You don't have to do- ah!" He grabbed your wrist and rushed in the direction of your dorm.
After awhile you gave up on running. He put you on his back and continued to run in the direction of your dorm. When you arrived, he put you down. "Good night, Y/N."
He began to walk away. You couldn't let him walk away. "Baekhyun wait!" He turned around. "Yeah?" You rushed up to him. "Why do you look so determined?" He jokingly asked.
You grabbed his face and smashed your lips on his. His kissed back immediately an wrapped his hands around your waist tightly. He was the one to pull away. "Baekhyun, I'm in love with you. I tried so hate you but it turned into this and I don't know how to feel. Taeyeon's gonna kill me."
"No, no. It's okay. I like you too. Y/N-"
Before he finished his sentence, you rushed into your dorm and shut the door quitely behind you. You could still taste his lips on yours. They tasted like heaven, they even felt like heaven.
Present
You were getting ready to do your first live stage on Inkigayo. All of your group members prepared and happy. You were nervous and still upset about what happened with Baekhyun which was almost two months ago. Each day in the SM building, you try your hardest to ignore him. He'd try to talk to you, but you just run the other way. You tried to run from your feelings. It was the best thing to do since Baekhyun had a history with your sister.
Taeyeon noticed how sad and jumping you were. To make you feel good, she secretly went to your first live stage. She was in the back in disguise. As your group went on stage and got in position, she smiled and clapped.
As your song started, she reached for her phone and began to record you, so she could show your parents that she went later. The fanchants were very loud. "LEE HYUN AH, KIM MI SUN, AHN BORA, KANG JOOHYUN, JUNG SEO YEON, SEO HYUN JUNG, KIM Y/N!" Towards in the end, in the bridge you hit your high note perfectly. After the song ended, you gave the crowd a fake smile. Taeyeon could tell it was forced. She frowned. She got up and walked all the way around the set to get backstage.
When she made it backstage, she saw you slowly walking, looking down at the floor. "Yah! Kim Y/N!" Your head shot up to see your sister frowning back at you. "What's wrong with you?"
"I'm fine." You lied. She wrapped her arm around your shoulders. "Let's go get lunch, to make you feel better."
You nodded and the two of you walked to a nearby cafe. She gave you a mask along the way. When you got to the cafe, you sat in the very back. You ordered lunch. "Y/N, I know something is wrong? You haven't been this sad since Seok Min, moved to the states."
"Yah! Stop bringing Seok Min up!"
"Yep, there's a boy involved. I can tell. What's wrong?"
You sighed and looked up at her. "Unni, there's a guy I'm in love with, but I can't be with him. He's the ex of someone very close to me. And I feel ashame for kissing him. I've been ignoring him."
"Does he make you happy?" She asked. You nodded. "Then it shouldn't matter. Just talk to your friend or that someone you are very close to, talk to them about it. Since he's there ex." She answered. 'That's easier said than done.' You thought.
Later that night, you were laying in your bed in your dorm. You grabbed your phone and went to your contacts. "Baekhyun" You stared at his contact name before pushing the call button. As if he'd answer. You put your phone to your ear.
"Yoboseyo?" His voice sounded.
"Hey."
"Y/N! How are you? Are you okay? Do you need something?"
"I'm sorry."
"What are you sorry for?" He asked.
"For falling in love with you. Please delete my number. And if I call you again, block my number. Ignore me. Act like you never seen me. I love you, Baekhyun. I'm sorry."
You hung up in his face and tears fell from your eyes.
"Y/N! Y/N! Y/N!" Baekhyun screamed in his phone.
You curled up with a pillow and cried yourself to sleep. He punched the wall and fell to his knees. "I'm sorry, Y/N. I'm sorry."
