“That’s why I need to see for myself. I want to see him and tell him that we are moving. That’s the only reason I can come to see him now, added with his favourite plushie here” Lay sighs, hesitates, but finally approves since he doesn’t want to see you upset more.

You thank your brother for the approval. After the thorough cleaning, you quickly make a call to Baekhyun’s manager about your plan to see him. He apologises to hear that Baekhyun has stopped contacting you, but he definitely will help you during the short stay in the city.

The next day, the manager is happy to fetch you and bring you to the city. After checking in at the hotel, the manager drives you straight to the place where the photo shoot takes place. You enter the scene, and you can see the CBX team are doing the photo shoot. You excitedly wave at Baekhyun, but to your surprise, he only takes a look at you and continues the photoshoot. “It’s okay, I should wait for him in the waiting room. Shouldn’t disturb him now” you murmur to yourself.

Unfortunately, the moment CBX members arrive at their private preparation room, Baekhyun just pass you by. You are shocked and speechless. “Sorry, are you waiting for someone?” Chen ask.

“I come here to see my boyfriend….” your answer makes Chen and Xiumin take a look at you. “Who is your boyfriend?” Xiumin asks this time. “Him” you take a look at Baekhyun, but sadly he didn’t look at you back. “Hey, your girlfriend arrives. Don’t you want to hug her?” Xiumin continues.

“Why do you come here?” Baekhyun coldly asks you. You are in flabbergast to see his reaction. “I come to give you this…. Your favourite plushie. You dropped it. And I also wanted to tell you that….”

“You only come here to give me that? Why do you have to go that far just to give me that thing?” he interrupts you before you could tell him that you are moving. “And who do you say? I’m your boyfriend? Hey, get some sense, will you? I don’t have a girlfriend. I am single. Is this another obsessed fan trick on us now, claiming they are our girlfriends? Pfft. And, who allowed you to be in here? You better come out because I have called the police” his responses almost make you slap him on the spot, but you keep your composure.

“I see…. Now, I see who you really are when you are at your home ground. Fly? Beautiful? You may be a superstar, you may be a double million-seller, but your heart is double million smelly and more stink than the double million rubbish outside” somehow, you don’t want your dignity to be stomped him, especially in front of his team members. “You should tell me last time if you only do that for raising your publicity. Now, thanks to you, the place is swamped by unwanted teenager tourists who didn’t know the date and time to visit. I guess your charity works, worked” you continue. You almost made your way out when you turn back and face him closely.

“I regret giving my beautiful heart to you when you only use it for your publicity and charity works. I didn’t know idols actually work this way to maintain their popularity to stay alive in the entertainment industry. A Teolaegi to protect? Yeah right. I guess Teolaegi does its job better in protecting me from a pile of rubbish like you” you whisper, but enough for the three CBX members to hear you. As your tears heavily come down, you quickly exit.

Baekhyun could only close his eyes and take a deep, deep breath. “You heard me just now, right? You better come out because I have called the police!” he yells, but Chen and Xiumin didn’t understand. At that moment, two girls came out from their hidings, shocking the other two members. Baekhyun calls their manager, and ask to escort the females to the police station for further inspection.

Baekhyun hastily looks around for you, but you are nowhere to be found. He tries calling you, but goes straight to the voicemail. “My sweetheart, I’m sorry…. I didn’t mean it, where are you my love, I miss you” he talks to himself as he tries to go around the building again, but fail to find you. He weakly steps back into the private room. He can’t help himself but cry.

“She is Y/N, your girlfriend, that you always talked about, right?” Xiumin implores, Baekhyun sniffs and bobs his head. “Well, that’s a huge misunderstanding over there. What a wrong timing” Chen sighs. “By the way, when did you realise the two girls were inside?” Chen ask.

“I saw my girlfriend when she waved at me. I want to wave at her back, but then I saw the two girls were taking her picture. So I thought that they must be the obsessed fans. And my guess was never wrong; the moment the manager ask my girlfriend to come into the private room, the two obsessed fans were also following her from behind, sneaking in. So I had to do something. But unfortunately, I have put my relationship on the line today” he sighs and continues weeping.

“You should call her this time. If she didn’t answer, at least send her a message. Tell her that this is only a massive misunderstanding” Chen suggest. “Or, rather than you keep looking at her picture during our breaks, why don’t you go to her place again? Stay there for a few weeks or months like you did last time, explain to her what’s happening. Take new pictures with her. Spend more time with her. We have done with our tour and all that activities, we are free now. You can finally go back there” Chen continues.

Baekhyun asks the manager about you, and he tells Baekhyun that you are staying in the hotel. Baekhyun and the manager go to the hotel that night, only to leave them stoned when hearing that you have checked in and out on the same day.

Baekhyun doesn’t feel good about this; he takes Chen’s suggestion and tells the manager to go to your place tomorrow.

The next day….

“Is this what was she trying to say yesterday? That they are moving?” Xiumin exploring the house where you and your brother used to stay. Chen and Xiumin are curious to see the place Baekhyun stayed for the last few months, so they come along with Baekhyun, only to see an empty house.

“Where did she go? Hyung, did she tell you anything about moving?” Baekhyun asks the manager, but he just shakes his head.

“She didn’t answer your phone, or read your message too?” Baekhyun shakes his head. “I suspect she either block your number, or she changes her number” Chen continues.

His tears are pouring down when he recalls all the memories he made with you and your brother at this place…. He misses you so much, the pain aches him to his core. Chen and Xiumin could only be able to comfort him in his current state.

“I must find her, by all means. I cannot accept myself to never see her anymore. Screw those obsessed fans who made us like this” Baekhyun clenches his fists.

“So, what are you going to do?” Xiumin asks this time.

“I’m going to release the song that I always used to serenade her last time” Baekhyun answers.

“And then?”

“Just wait and see, hyung. You will see how I fly back to her and make her stay by my side”.

“Wow, Seoul has changed so much after I left. So many changes here….” You excitedly look around the city while Suho driving you. “You! Who told you I will come to Seoul?” You are surprised when seeing Kai is also inside the car with Suho. Kai didn’t answer, instead, he just laugh. “Sorry Y/N, I think Kai cannot speak right now, he is too excited to see you again” Suho answers you, making you laugh as well. “Are you still living in the dorm?” You suddenly feel curious. “Yeah, some of us still. Like Xiumin hyung, me…. We have moved out,” Kai gets to answer you this time. You nod.

“Baekhyun has moved out too, Y/N….” and the answer only makes you able to nod. They drive you to your previous place where you stayed with the housemates. The housemates are thrilled to see you again. After placing your luggage in your old room, Suho drives you to their dorm. You are nervous to meet them again but more nervous to see Baekhyun’s reaction. You cannot wait to hug him.

“Guys…. Look who’s here….” Suho alerting the members while you are hiding behind Kai and Suho’s back. The members are looking at Suho. “Y/N!!!!!!!!” The members are overjoyed seeing you here in Seoul. The youngest, Sehun; is the most excited one when he goes hugging and jumping with you. You could only laugh and follows his actions. Xiumin and Chanyeol greet you after Sehun. Meanwhile, D.O. and Chen are at the kitchen preparing lunch when Chen runs and squeezes you after hearing you arrive. “Chen! Too, strong!” You try catching your breath. Xiumin had to separate Chen while hitting his back. You were told that Lay was still in China promoting his album and EXO songs as well, and asked them to send his regards to you.

“Hmm? Where’s Baekhyun? I thought he was here. I have asked everyone to come” Suho questioned the members. All of them just keep quiet, shaking their heads. “He’s going out! He said he’ll be back soon!” D.O.’s voice echoed from the kitchen. “Hmm…. I wonder how soon is that.” Suho answered while sighing. “Ah…. Don’t worry, just let him take his time. I’m sure he is busy with work or something” you trying to soothe yourself, although you feel disappointed, not able to meet him there.

You enjoyed eating, sharing stories, playing games even taking pictures with the members. Yet, you cannot hide your frustration when Baekhyun is still not showing up after a few hours of being in the dorm. Chen senses your sadness and offers himself to call Baekhyun, but you stop him. “Chen, it’s okay. I guess he’s just, busy with something, tired and went home. It’s okay” You prevent Chen from calling Baekhyun. “Are you sure? I’m just afraid you’ll not be able to see him for a week of your stay.” Chen asks. You only nod, ignoring the rest of the question.

Night falls, and it’s time to go home. You thank them, and they remind you of their fan sign event three days later. You nod, this time, D.O. and Suho send you home. “D.O., you said Baekhyun goes out somewhere. Do you know where he goes?” Suho is suddenly curious, and you feel the same. D.O. nods and drives to that place. Unfortunately…. Once again, your vacation ends in vain; when you saw Baekhyun holding hands with a girl, entering a restaurant. “Dinner date…. I guess he’s really moved on now.” You apologise to them for not being able to stand your tears from falling. Suho and D.O. can only sigh, comforting you. You ask D.O. to leave the place before you feel more disheartened.

And so….

The day of the outdoor fan sign event arrived. You have warned the rest of the members to not tell Baekhyun you were there. You don’t want his feelings faltered just because of your presence. The members had no choice but to agree. The place now is crowded with fans. You are lucky, you could hide among the crowd. You are sure that Baekhyun will not be going to see you. The rest of the members know where you stand since they have met you earlier.

Suho gives an opening speech, and the crowd goes wild. They perform three songs before starting the fan sign event. At this point, you are unsure whether to leave or to stay; you are joyful seeing them again and you have received their sign earlier, but at the same time you feel distressed seeing Baekhyun that relates to the event that day. Suddenly, you choose yourself to be seen by Baekhyun. You move a little forward, enough for the members to register your current location. You can see Suho trying to signal you to back off, but you refuse to listen to him. D.O.’s eyes were wide open too when he saw you coming too close to the stage.

Finally, Baekhyun sense something is wrong with the members’ reactions. He looks at the crowd, and try to figure out what is happening. At this moment, you and Baekhyun’s eyes finally meet. Baekhyun becomes speechless and stoned seeing you at the event as if he just saw a ghost. Chen, who is just beside Baekhyun, can only clench his teeth. You hold yourself from crying, take a deep breath, and slowly follows the crowds’ flow to the stage to receive the members’ sign, instead, you take a way out of the place and go home.

“It’s Y/N right??” Baekhyun whispers to Chen who sits beside him. He doesn’t answer the question and keep doing the fan sign. Baekhyun’s hand busy signing as well, but at the same time asking Chen again. “Answer me. It’s her, right??” but Chen just shrugged. Baekhyun too disturbed, and asks for a toilet break, using the time to catch you before you slip away, again. He runs to backstage and saw you just finish talking to the manager. However, you see him and quickly excuse yourself, able to escape from Baekhyun again before he catches you, knowing that he’ll unable to go far due to the event. “Why Y/N?? Why are you keep running from me??” Baekhyun’s heart breaks.

Finally, the event ended and all members were back in the dorm. “Okay, guys. Tell me, who else knew she’s coming?” But the members keep quiet. “Who are you talking about?” Suho asks. “Y/N!!!! Who else knew she’s coming??” Baekhyun started to get angry. “Hyung, we have asked you to stay in the dorm three days ago, right? Where did you go? You’re dating.” D.O. answered. All members looked at D.O. “Hyung, you have a new girlfriend? Why don’t you tell us earlier? If you tell, then we don’t have to ask Y/N to visit us.” Kai response.

“She is not my girlfriend! I just, knew about her this year!” Baekhyun tries to defend himself. “Then, explain why we saw you holding hands with the girl….” D.O. asks again. This time, Baekhyun close his eyes and sigh, unable to answer him. “Baekhyun, don’t you remember what I told you last time? She will return. Either to visit or to stay” Suho calmly respond him. “I mean, I am okay if you get into another relationship this time, but don’t you say you promise yourself to just focus on your career and develop yourself until Y/N return??” Suho continues. The rest of the members look at Baekhyun.

Baekhyun falls to the floor, feeling devastated. “What should I do?? WHAT SHOULD I DO?????” Chen comes and comforts him. “Try writing her a letter? You don’t know her details anyway. We’ll give her before she returns to her hometown. I don’t think she wants to see you. Apologise to her, and just, do what you want to do, date whom you want to date. Let’s hope she understands,” Chen suggests. Baekhyun is crying in defeat, before finally accepting Chen’s word.

That night, Baekhyun sits on his kitchen table and start writing….

With a sad heart, I opened the curtains, with my moonlight-stained tears, I send you a letter….

The faded photos we ever had together, I almost throw away, thinking that you’ll never return, and it hurts so much that I can’t look at them now….

I miss your shy smile, and gentle eyes, I want to hug you, what should I do when you’re far away?

Then I met this girl, who is closer to me, keep me company, keep me happy….

Yet, I wonder why I keep having a nightmare when things seem perfect with that girl?

“When can I see you again? Huh? Huh? Ugh Y/N! Why do you need to leave again??” Kai whines. You cannot help but laugh at his cute behaviour. “Yeah, Y/N, please visit us again. This time, stay longer, so you can go to lots of our concerts,” Suho pleads. “Y/N, before I forget, you should read this.” Chen giving you a letter. “A letter? Pfft, you could just write to me in the inbox. You know my social media, well now you also have my phone number,” you feel strange receiving a letter from him. “Um…. That, is not from me. But, you should read it.”

You take a good look at the letter, and you finally get the answer. “Baekhyun ask you to send this letter to me?” Chen just nods. “Well, he should’ve just admitted that he got a girlfriend. Why need to write a letter? This must be an apologise letter, right?” you sigh while questioning them, but they just shrugged. “Oh, I need to go in now. Guys! I will be missing you!!” You finally realise it’s time to board. “Huuuhhhhh! I will be missing you too Y/N!” Kai suddenly cries while hugging you, making the three of you are in shock. “There he goes being dramatic again,” said Suho, shaking his head. Chen just laugh.

You finally arrived at your hometown, feeling tired. You unpack your luggage, then take a bath. Before you sleep, you remembered the letter from Baekhyun. You take the letter and read it. Mixed emotions appear when you read the letter. What should you do with him? You start to overthink again. Though, life must go on, and whether you can see him again next time, you pray for the best of your both life and love journey.
