it took me a long time to be able to call myself a lesbian.

I stuck with bi because it felt safer to me, like i am covering myself against backlash should it ever happen i fall in love with a man. Now i know that even though i can appreciate the appearance and idea of some (read: a few faraway hollywood actors and fictional characters) men, i still only would want to be in a relationship with a girl. I call myself a lesbian and find pride in it rather than shame or fear, and that took me a long time.

The word lesbian has already been soiled enough by society, making it a porn category, making it a not safe for work tag on tumblr, associating it with anger and being ‘less of a woman.’ We don’t need you little fake woke shits on tumblr making it even worse by somehow saying the label is exclusionary and synonimous to being a terf, then say people are proving your point when they get mad at you.
