It’s easier to not tell them

Because I don’t want them to worry.

I’ll take this burden

Because I can handle it better.

I know, it sounds vain.

But I’ve tried and they think about it

All. The. Time.

I can compartmentalize really well.

I don’t have mental bagage

Because I can alway explain to myself

Why things are the way they are

And accept what they mean.
