"Barista" by: Versis & Bagir-Ba

This is a relatively old track from emcee/producer duo Versis & Bagir-Ba's Barista EP.  Old or not, I'm glad they decided to release these visuals.  A good story deserves good pictures (or video).  That's exactly what this is, a good, lyrical love story.  The opening lines, "I cruise up to her with my goofy diddy bop//locked eyes, yo I swear she made my heart stop..." caught me and made me want to hear the rest of the story.  Perhaps it's the fallout from having watched so many romantic comedies with my girl... Nah, I think I was just happy to hear something heart-warming in these often depressing days.  (Sidenote: I wonder what the love song to break up/I hate my mate/FDB song ratio is these days.)  Big ups to Versis for these verses.  

There is plenty beauty in simplicity.  Director CALMATIC put together a rather simple yet effective and impressive video for this track.  I'm glad he used the aging effects to give it a bit of a vintage feel.  Modern lighting would have detracted from the mood of the story.  According to Versis, the video is unfinished, but I like it anyway.  Good song.  Good visuals.   Good day.
