So Xiao Qing confesses to Suzhen that she wants to be with Yutang the same way she is with Xu Xian. Suzhen looks a little a worried and reminds him that he’s just a normal human. Since Suzhen is married with a human too, Xiao Qing wants to learn from her.
Xu Xian sees that Suzhen is still worrying and tries to make her at ease by telling her how much Yutang is a nice guy and having him taking care of Xiao Qing would be nice, because he won’t make her unhappy and take good care of her. But she’s not worried about that, she’s more worried about life and death matters. Suzhen tells that as soon as Yutang and Xiao Qing would become a couple, even if he doesn’t care for what she really is, her poison is going to injure him really bad. She also says that if she didn’t gave him her core, he would have been poisoned too. She can endure it because she has a thousand years of cultivation behind her, however, Xiao Qing’s 500 years are not enough for her to lose her core, without it she would be forced to reveal her real form. So that’s why she’s not willing to put them through that pain. So Xu Xian and Suzhen decides to make sure they spend less time together, so they can avoid that disaster where either Xiao Qing will get injured or either Yutang is going to. This is so sad TT I want them to live happily together. Please find a way.
It’s actually really cute how they are trying to keep Xiao Qing away from Yutang. And I never knew Xu Xian could lie so well. When Suzhen took Xiao Qing to buy new material for clothes, the merchant showed her a little pouch which is supposed to bring good fortune and make sure that a couple never separates. But Suzhen doesn’t want Xiao Qing to have so she shakes her so the merchant keeps in the end. But of course, Xiao Qing takes it with magic. When she tries to give it to Xu Xian he takes it saying it’s great, since he lost his, Suzhen was going to give him one. Then Xiao Qing tells him it’s not from Suzhen, but she wants to give it to Yutang. So he goes on about how he was surprised that Suzhen would chose one made out of such ominous materials and explains to her why it’s not good.
Xu Xian though feels a little bad for what he did and keeps thinking about it. Then he asks Suzhen, if she didn’t have a thousand years of cultivation, would she still have been with him? Well... I am mostly thinking that he wouldn’t be with her because she got her human form just right then. Oh well. She says she would obviously leave if the price of their love was his life. Then he asks her, if they changed places, and that her life was in danger if they had to stay together, would she leave? And she’s like no, never. So he says, we are doing because we want them to be safe and well, but is it the right thing to do? Maybe we are causing more damage? So he’s wondering, can they find another way to avoid the poisoning? He read that the blood of an immortal could help, but Suzhen knows how hard it is to come accross.
But then she thinks of Xiao Qing’s underlings and go meet them. They say their blood is not good enough, the only one she could use would be... her faher’s blood, the Dragon king. Knowing of that, Suzhen naively thinks he would easily agree for his daughter and leaves without the four minor immortals being able to finish the story. Oops... That’s looking bad.
Suzhen finds on her a very precious artefact that belongs to the Dragon and takes it back to him. As a reward, she asks for the blood, but the king gets angry and won’t recognize Xiao Qing as his daughter, he only has nine sons he says and won’t agree. So Suzhen forcefully takes the blood and he freeze her. But in the end, he lets her go, but if she tries again to speak up for Xiao Qing, he won’t show mercy. He let her go this time only because she brought back the artefact.
Since she didn’t manage to get the blood, I don’t know what she stole then, she decides to tell the truth to Yutang. She can’t tell it to Xiao Qing because of her temper and she decides to do it herself and be the bad one, not Xu Xian. Okay so she doesn’t really tell the truth, she just tried to push him away by letting him know he’s not good enough for Xiao Qing, but then Xiao Qing happens to hear and now she hates Suzhen. Poor Suzhen. She’s so hurt, but she did it out of good will and Xiao Qing wouldn’t understand.
Oh no ): Xiao Qing kisses him. It’s too late. He tried to push her away, but he can’t, he likes her. And... I believe it would be hard to run away from someone like Xiao Qing haha. But it’s kind of cute. He frees himself from her grip and runs away.
Then Fahai comes in. He wants to take Xiao Qing back to Jinshan Temple, but she won’t and since he keeps pestering her, she screams for help. And of course, her hero is none other than Yutang. Fahai then leaves after hearing that dark voice. And well. Suzhen’s work was up to nothing. Yutang and Xiao Qing both confess to each others their feelings.
Oh no, that dark spirit takes over Fahai’s body and he can only go take possession of a cat’s body. this is looking bad.
Xiao Qing and Yutang didn’t go back to Baohe tang and went to look for Yutang’s origins. She found the object they are looking for, but it’s going to get complicated to retrieve it. Yutang comes back to Baohe tang looking for Xiao Qing, but there are no traces of her so Suzhen is worried.
