On foreshadowing and yeast:
This morning, I was making cinnamon rolls to distract from the crushing void that is existence, and was kneading the dough only to realize I'd forgotten to add yeast (Terry Pratchett audiobook was being inconveniently entertaining). So, I sorta... ✨Sprinkled✨ it on and forcibly worked it in til it felt more or less smooth.
It occurred to me, that this is also how I write foreshadowing. I write through the story, new and interesting ways of unfolding the story occur to me, I think how going back and adding a subtle allusion to new developments might add a little extra bit of texture and add to the story as a whole so I *aggressively knead* it in there 'til it flows and the end product is (Hopefully) a more interesting, satisfying piece of... breakfast?
I dropped a mug this morning and it broke, so... I don't have high hopes for these cinnamon rolls. *stares at dough proving in oven*
(I didn't actually drop a mug, but I'm pretty sure I ruined brunch anyway.)
