So I'm playing Fallout 4 and I know I've said it once before but I'm going to say it again. Star Trek Fallout Au.

While playing I kept thinking about who would be a vault dweller and I always come up with the same idea.

Bones comes from the vault.

He could have been a military doctor and soaked up medical knowledge like a sponge and he's quick to fix someone with nothing. He goes into the vault with Joanna (cause he jas her when the 💣 drops) and she gets taken away. So Bones goes after her and along the way, he meets the Enterprise crew. (Cryosleep?)

Jim: the Survivor/Leader

Spock: the half-mutant. His mother was a vault dweller and met his father.

Scotty: Inventor/Engineer he keeps the compound going and the lights on.

Chekov: the smart refugee who wants to help in any way he can

Uhura: Runs the radio and keeps communications going

Sulu: Dreams of flying but can't. He has a wicked green thumb.

Here's an idea for Y'all 🤔 what if in order to pay for medical school Bones joined the Fleet Marines. He took courses virtually(Top of his class of course) as he served and met his wife that way as well. After something horrible happens McCoy requests to be moved over to the other side of the Fleet. The same year he and his wife divorced.

Before meeting Jim on that shuttle Leo McCoy was a decent soldier. He naturally didn't like the needless violence and was called out on it all the time. But he ended up being placed on one of the best teams in the Fleet due to his skill as a sharpshooter. A team that didn't officially exist. It was all something that he wanted to keep in the past. But unfortunately for him, it doesn't work that way.

During a Mission, the Enterprise encounters ghosts from a past McCoy wished stayed buried. They are thrust into an adventure filled with betrayal, hurt/comfort, family, and plenty of BAMF Bones (and whump). This could turn into an interesting DoomTrek twist but it doesn't have to. What do you guys think? Would you write it?

*Jim watching Bones cram some more before finals and drink his fifth cup of coffee.*

Kirk: You literally just walked out of the ER after a fourteen hour shift and are about to take three final exams back to back. How are you still alive?

McCoy: Caffeine and Spite.

Random Star Trek Headcanon:

Bones is stronger than he looks. Dealing with rowdy patients and of course Jim Kirk he has to be.

Like in bar fights sure he won't start the fight but he will "sure as hell finish one" if the situation calls for it.

Like *Ding Ding* TKO.

He then drags and or carries Jim right out of the bar. 👀 and bad away missions.

I also feel each of the bridge crew finds out in different ways.

Star Trek Prompt/Story Idea:

Type: Gen, Bones whump, BAMF Bones, hurt/comfort, friendship, family, Jim Kirk whump, Spock whump, BAMF Kirk, BAMF Spock, survival, Zombie AU (?) kind of. (Can also be an XReader if you so desired.)

Who: Leonard "Bones" McCoy, Jim Kirk, Spock, Scotty, Uhura, Jaylah, Chekov, Sulu. Mainly Bones, Jim, Spock, and maybe a fourth person of your choosing.

The Prompt/Idea: The Enterprise is given a very classified mission from 'Fleet HQ. Something that was meant to be given to a Sec 31 team but since Marcus those types of folks are in the wind. The mission is a planet at the edge of the Alpha quadrant. It had once been a prosperous and advanced colony with a mix of races. But the planet was suddenly radio silent. A team had been sent in to check things out but they never returned. The only thing Starfleet got was a single transmission saying "STAY AWAY>DANGER>DEATH IS HERE" they quarantined the planet and have been arguing and debating if it was worth investigating fully. The red tape was extensive. So extensive that it was four years later that the Enterprise was even called.

Only prepared with minimal facts an away team is sent down and is greeted with chaos, death, and despair. The dead walk and they must figure out how to help the people still alive and how to get back home. And to get what Starfleet really wants. A secret weapon/Information against the growing and brewing threat of the Klingon Empire. Will they survive?

Use the Lines:

"Damn Bones...Nice shot! Where did you learn to shoot an antique like that?"

and...

"I'm a doctor damnit, not a...oh fuck it. Give me the damn rifle. I jus' wanna go home. I'm goin' to hell..."

Can't sleep so here have a plot bunny.

Star Trek Zombie AU. Raiders have pinned down our survivors with a tank. Zombies are closing in behind them. They're trying to figure out what to do when Bones pulls his daddy's hunting rifle from his back.

"Bones..." Jim tries to get his friend's attention but McCoy shushes him. Eying the tank with his scope from his hiding place McCoy tries to quickly decide his target. His first idea is the machine gunner but that would simply give the tank operator their exact location. Opportunity strikes when a lone man pops up from the hatch with a grenade in his hand.

"Bones!" Kirks warning was apparent. The infected were starting to break through. Taking a deep breath McCoy let it out and fired just as the raider pulled the pin.

The explosion was exactly what he had wanted. They were free to run.

"Let's go!" He barked grabbing Joanna and swinging her up into his arms. They were safe for now.

Star Trek Story Idea/Prompt:

Type: Gen, hurt/comfort, BAMFBones, Whump for all three of them.

Who: Leonard "Bones" McCoy, James T. Kirk, Spock

The Idea: A diplomatic mission has gone wrong! Again. Kirk, Bones, and Spock have been separated and are trying to find each other again so they can get back to the Enterprise. It doesn't work out as planned. But that's normal, the plan never works.

McCoy manages to get free from his captors (not before sustaining some sort of injury) and runs off to find Jim and Spock. It's McCoy's turn to save the day!

You must use the line:

"Oh-oh that's great. I've always wanted my own personal gateway to Hell!"

Star Trek Prompt/Story Idea:

Type: Gen, Friendship, Whumpage for Spock and Bones, BAMFSpock, BAMFBones

Who: Spock, Leonard "Bones" McCoy

The Idea/Prompt: Spock finds McCoy both irritating and fascinating. The first officer and the CMO come to an understanding and a truce. Crazily enough almost dying together can create an odd bond. It was the beginning of an epic and very important friendship.

Use:

McCoy: "Damnit Spock, would you let me do my damn job for once?"

And...

Spock: "Doctor you must sit down..."

Spock: "Leonard, sit down!"

McCoy: "I must be dying for you to use my name."
