Ronit Elkabetz as Dina and Sasson Gabai as Lt. Colonel Tawfig Zacharya in The Bands Visit (2007).  Ronit was born in Beersheba, Israel, and died from lung cancer at the age of 51 in 2016.  She had 30 acting credits from 1990 to six episodes of a French mini-series in 2016.  It looks like she made films in France and Israel, and was occasionally on tv.  She also has four writing credits, and three directorial credits, from 2004 to 2015.

Everyone is pissed that the Bands Visit is sweeping and I’m like it’s the only thing that isn’t commercial so I’m really not angry.

Real talk: the commercial musicals don’t need the awards. Frozen is going to make big bucks. There will always be children who will want to see Spongebob. Mean Girls is Mean Girls. The Bands Visit doesn’t have a preexistent fan base so I won’t be angry about it winning. Also it seems amazing.

Hey, just your friendly reminder not to be rude to bands visit and their fans. Like I know it doesn't matter but just don't. It won't change anything. Bands visit deserved everything they got. And yes I wished sponge Bob, mean girls, and frozen got some awards. But it's no reason to be mean to Bands visit and their fans. It's not improving anything, it just divides.

Liking musicals are awesome because you get different genres of music every year and a story, dancing, and singing every year with the music too.
