Summary: Your target has an offer you can't refuse.
Word Count: 0.3k
Warnings: talks of murder, guns present in scene
To be honest, you found the whole situation funny. Your target had you captured and brought to him, eliminating the need to search for him. As if having you there on his terms could delay the outcome.
The door opened. Speak of the devil… Yongguk stepped into the room flanked by his men, each of whom had their weapons drawn with a finger on the trigger. Yongguk kept his eyes on you as he sat in a chair across from you. “I hope my men weren’t too rough.”
You grinned. “I didn’t mind. I like a little pain.”
Yongguk chuckled. “Do you now? I’ll keep that in mind. So, let’s get down to business. I need to know who hired you.”
You pressed your lips together and shook your head. “I’m sorry. I have a strict confidentiality policy for my customers. These lips are sealed.”
He huffed. “Whoever hired you knew I’d be there. That indicates someone I trust has betrayed me. I don’t tolerate traitors.”
“Sorry.” You shrugged. “Not my problem.”
He studied you for a few minutes, his intense gaze unwavering as the wheels in his mind turned. “…How much are they paying?”
Of all the things you expected to come out of that pretty mouth, that wasn’t it. “I…one million.” You couldn’t help but feel a bit smug. “An easy job now.”
He nodded and sat back in his chair. “I’ll pay you two to be my bodyguard.”
Your eyebrows rose. “Two million?”
“Yes. Until I figure out who sold me out. I’ll even give you half up front.”
Admittedly, you felt guilty for considering it. It was bad for business as customers would have trust issues. But for two million dollars? Money talks and you listen. “Deal.”
You nearly dropped your keys when you saw that your door had been forced open, catching them rather quickly in uncertain hands. Slowly reaching forward to poke the door open enough to let you have a look inside. Not spotting anyone, you take a few tentative steps inside, preparing to call the police until the front door slams and locks behind you. Lights switch on as your phone slips out of your hand and shatters on the floor. Your toxic ex Yongguk is standing there, scowl filling his face.
“Did you really think that I wouldn’t be able to find you Y/N? You should know better, I’m always able to find you.” He sighs, stepping closer to your form now that he knows your exit is blocked. Stalking you like a predator, toying with their prey instead of just striking swiftly and getting it over with.
“I’ve moved on Yongguk, you should too. What we had wasn’t healthy. That’s why I left, and now you need to leave me too.” You insist, backing away as you look around desperately in search of an option. Not sure quite what to expect from the volatile man across from you.
“You can’t fucking leave me!” Yongguk yells, anger flaring aggressively before he reigns it in under his control once more, “You can’t leave me. I know everything about you- everything! I can make you do whatever I want. If you don’t I can ruin you in a matter of seconds and you know that.”
You backed into the table, fists gripping onto the edge of it until your knuckles turned white under the pressure, “If you do that you know you’ll go down with me...”
Your argument is weak, you both know it. You were too scared of the power and influence he held, that’s why you tried to leave silently. On the other hand, Yongguk didn’t fear what you brought up one bit, if everything came crashing down he’d just build his empire anew. With you at his side once more.
“It’s funny how you bring that up when we both know I don’t give a fuck. You have one last chance Y/N. Either you play nice and walk out that door with me of your own accord...or we do this the hard way and I start fucking shit up.”
[4:34am] “Jongup, this is silly,” you huff, frustrated at your own inability to follow the steps correctly, but happy to hold him close.
He shushes you gently, stroking your waist and helping you sway in time to the slow music. “It’s not. If you practice with me now, you’ll ace it on the day. I promise.”
“But I can’t get the steps right,” you mutter a little sadly.
Jongup leans in and kisses the crook of your neck ever so tenderly, lingering a little longer than he’d like to admit. “What if,” – another kiss, this time higher – “I kiss you,” – behind your ear – “to the tempo of the music? Would that help?”
You smile and nod as he nestles into your neck, peppering kisses all over your skin. “It would help a lot.”
A/N: Hello! Anoter angsty breakup B.A.P scenario here. It’s baby Junhong’s turn. So for him I have picked the song “Here Come The Regrets” by Epik High of-course as their new album is what has inspired this sent of scenarios. So I hope you enjoy.
When Junhong wakes up he feels his head pounding and as he sits up slowly he feels dizzy. He clutches his head and groans in pain. He looks next to him and you aren’t there.
Dread fills him.
Ignoring the pain in his head, he gets out of bed and looks around. There are countless things on the floor as if they had been thrown around in anger. There is an empty bottle of alcohol on the floor.
Then regret fills him.
Oh shit.
He rushes out of his room calling your name but there is no response. The events of last night comes crashing down.
It was date night and the two of you had planned to gone to dinner but somewhere along the night it had turned into an argument. The two of you hadn’t even made it out of the apartment that night. Somehow an argument had started and now the entire apartment was filled with screaming and shouting.
How had it even started?
Junhong doesn’t remember but he had started to throw things around in his room out of anger.
You were hurting him so much. You wanted to just hug him but you knew he would push you away.
“I can’t do this anymore Junhong!”
Your heart was breaking.
“I can’t either!” he replies.
Another bullet shot through your heart.
“Let’s just end it then”, you say as he stops and looks at you.
The book he was about to throw across the room just falls on the floor.
“All we do is fight and I can’t help but feel like all I do is hurt you…I just can’t do this to you anymore”, you say calmly as you feel the tears fall.
His hands form fists. He was going to regret this tomorrow.
“Go”
And that’s all you need before you take your leave.
Your heart sinks as you leave Junhong’s apartment and shut the door behind you. The tears carry on falling as you lean against his door. You want to go back in there and tell him that you are sorry for everything but you know it’s too late. The two of you were just not in love anymore. He hated you and you probably hated him back.
But god, you missed him.
You don’t know how long you stand there but once the tears stop you manage to compose yourself. You take a deep breath. You dig out the key to Junhong’s apartment and leave it in the small mailbox out his door before you leave.
As he hears you leave he ruffles his hair, picks up the book and throws it across the room in anger.
“Fuck it all!”
He goes to the kitchen and grabs several bottle of alcohol and drowns himself. He loved you so much god dammed it. Yet, you were right. All the two of you did was fight and he always felt so angry with you these days and he knows that you were hurting too.
He ruffles his hair again before downing the entire bottle.
He regrets every moment he had spent hating you for the last few weeks. He regrets every moment he made you cry including the last time just now. But he knew you would be happier with someone else. The two of you weren’t meant to be.
He lands back in bed and stares at the ceiling. Regret from last night hits him like a train.
He was so sorry.
He really fucked up and hurt you so much. You were wrong. You didn’t hurt him, no not as much as he hurt you.
Things got so crazy after a while. All the happy memories went away and all that was left was anger.
He doesn’t remember how the two of you had gotten to this point but somehow he can only remember all the bad. All the screaming, shouting and the tears was all he can recall. He can’t remember the happy memories anymore. He doesn’t know if it’s all the alcohol or if the relationship really had been that bad.
He just laid there in bed drowning himself in self pity and regret.
Oh god, what have I done?
He suddenly wanted you next to you. He wanted to hug you. He needed you but it was too late. Somehow the one person he loved so much was now someone he hated. The constant arguments, the screaming and the tears, they are no longer worth it you smiles and the love he had once felt for you.
But god, he missed the familiarity.
He missed the routine.
H rolls to his side and is facing your side of the bed.
Or what used to be your side.
He knew you weren’t going to come back now. He closes his eyes as tears finally escapes his eyes as his body starts trembling. A sob escapes his lips and he just wanted to see you.
He knew that feeling was just temporary though.
It would get better but for now he will just accept the regrets.
Word Count: 8553 (We need to stop haha) Yay for the first Youngjae scenario!
Warning: Swearing, alcohol use, cheating, angst
Summary: Marrying the man of your dreams was meant to be a good thing, but when it brings nothing but heartache, you learn to put yourself first the hard way
“Youngjae-ah you made this for me?” (Y/n) blinked at her best friend in disbelief.
“Yes!” The 9 year old vigorously nodded his head while grinning in triumph.
“It’s so beautiful!” (Y/n) squealed giggling. Grabbing her left hand, Youngjae fit the ring on her finger, making her blush.
“Now we’ll be together forever!” He laughed leaning forward and placing his lips against her warm cheek. Who knew, that their forever may never come.
____________
Here (Y/n) was, in her breath-taking white dress that was simple, elegant and modest as she treaded the path filled with petals. Gripping the bouquet of flowers tightly in one hand due to nervousness, she took a jittery breath as she walked down the aisle towards her one and only love, Yoo Youngjae
This would’ve counted as the best day of her life, but there was a hint of sadness glazed in her beautiful (e/c) eyes. She looked over at Youngjae as she neared him and the priest and saw that his attention was elsewhere.
Her heart sank when everyone else gazed at her completely bewitched, whereas the one man whose eyes she wished were on her didn’t even spare her a glance but extended his hand forward as formality when she arrived at the altar. Being used to this, she gave an unnoticeable sigh and placed her hand in his as he helped her up.
The vows and everything else passed in the blink of an eye since the two hadn’t prepared anything special, just two three lines of affection.
“Do you, (Y/n) (L/n) accept Yoo Youngjae to be your lawfully wedded husband?” Asked the priest. “I do” she timidly let out gazing at Youngjae, who since then had not made eye contact with her.
“Do you, Yoo Youngjae accept (Y/n) (L/n) to be your lawfully wedded wife?”. Only then, did Youngjae lock her under his cold gaze as his voice, devoid of emotion said the two words, binding the pair together for their lifetime. “I do”.
After placing the rings, the priest continued, “You may now kiss the bride” Hearing the priest, Youngjae covered the few feet distance separating them both and gently held her chin in his hands, lifting her face. Leaning forward, he slowly pecked her lips, separating soon after making everyone cheer for the newly-weds.
(Y/n) bit her bottom lip, glancing down at her feet. Even though the kiss was little, even though it was short-lived, even though it was barely for a second and even though she had expected that, she loved it. Her heart ached for a little more, but she smiled nonetheless and accepted her fate.
As soon as the couple stepped down, they were rapidly greeted and congratulated by people. “Finally the two of you are married now. Congratulations” Came the booming voice of a man who patted Youngjae’s back with one hand and placed the other on (Y/n)’s shoulder very gently with a warm smile on his face and happiness in his eyes.
“Thank you father” Youngjae nodded his head looking down. Soon enough, the bride and groom were requested to start the dance by Youngjae’s father who was beaming. A slow, melodic song started playing. Youngjae walked in front of (Y/n) extended his arm forward with a small smile on his face. She could clearly tell it was forced but ignored it wanting to enjoy her wedding. She gave him her hand and he swiftly led them both to the dance floor, in the middle of everyone as they trained their gazes upon them and gazed adoringly.
Youngjae placed his left hand on (Y/n) waist and (Y/n) placed her right one on his shoulder as both swiftly moved across the floor like professionals making everyone stare at the two completely awestruck. After a while minutes of watching, the others joined as well and soon enough, almost everyone was dancing.
With happiness, cheer and laughter, slowly the number of people started decreasing as they left, leaving the couple alone with only their close relatives. “Son, you and (Y/n) are going to have dinner with us tomorrow. Mr and Mrs (L/n) will also be there” Youngjae’s father smiled walking towards them as
Youngjae nodded his head mumbling a small “Yes, father”.
“We’ll see you tomorrow” (Y/n) smiled at the families and bowed her head in respect with Youngjae following suit. “Come on, let’s go” Youngjae beckoned for her with his hand and started walking towards the exit with (Y/n) close behind
____________
When the two reached their home, the atmosphere was filled with a suffocating silence as none dared to utter a single word.
“Would like to shower first?” Youngjae asked his wife, looking at her questioningly as he took off his coat and loosened his tie. “No, you can go first if you want” (Y/n) stated as she pulled the hairpin holding her bun together. Youngjae simple nodded his head and went straight for the washroom after grabbing some clothes to wear.
(Y/n) sighed looking at the dressing table mirror and unconsciously fisted her hands in her fluffy dress that was worth more than their house, courtesy of Youngjae’s father who was too excited for his son’s arranged marriage and wanted his bride to look majestic. She opened her suitcase and searched around for her bathing robe so that she could wear it for the time being until Youngjae was done with his shower.
(Y/n) sat on the couch in her robe and took off the hairpins that were on the front while pondering over the recent events of their wedding and what the future may hold for the two. Youngjae exited the washroom drying his hair with his towel and silently made his way to their bed. Getting up, she grabbed her clothes that she had kept next to her on the couch and strolled over to the washroom.
Feeling the cold water soothe her tense muscles after a whole day of running around and making sure things were perfect. (Y/n) closed her eyes relaxing as she felt the water rush down her body and light pitter patter of water music to her ears. Some wedding it was, she bitterly chuckled shaking her head. Every girl’s wish is to marry the love of her life and live the happily ever after. Yes, (Y/n) had gotten her wish and married the man she loved more than anything. But fate, being the cruel thing it was, didn’t allow Youngjae to reciprocate her feelings.
It tore her apart, crushed her when she noticed the way his eyes always glanced at her. Empty. As if she was nothing, as if she never existed. (Y/n) didn’t realize she was crying until she felt herself sniffing. No, she wasn’t going to break this easy, she snapped her head up and looked at the wall with determination burning brightly in her slightly red orbs. She would break him. She would make his walls crumble down to dust. She wasn’t one to give up easily even when the tinniest of hope remained.
After being done with the shower, (Y/n) contently sighed stretching her back muscles and hearing a few cracks in the process. She got out and dried herself with her towel and wore a simple, elegant and long silk nightie with thin straps that covered her body and was appropriate. She got out as her light footsteps echoed in the room and saw that Youngjae had was on the bed, safely tucked in. She unsurely looked at him with crimson dusting her cheeks. Should I try something? She wondered as her heart started beating fast against her ribcage in anxiousness. Slowly, she made her way towards her side of the bed and quietly sat down, getting under the duvet and facing Youngjae who had his back towards her. It’s alright. You can do this. He’s your husband for God's sake. Her mind spoke to her as she slowly extended her arm forward and lightly placed it on his back.
She felt him stiffen under her touch which confirmed her suspicions that he was awake. Sensually and slowly, she started tracing patterns and then lightly moved down, feeling his back muscles through the thin shirt he was wearing. She let out a small shaky breath and gulped, not knowing if this was right or not. Very well aware of the fact that he was awake and she wasn’t getting a reaction, she slowly moved towards him, getting closer and wrapped an arm around his waist hugging him from behind. His body went completely rigid which scared her slightly and she bit her bottom lip not knowing what to do. Still getting no reaction, she hesitantly moved her lips towards his neck and with red coating her cheeks, placed a small kiss as her hands slowly moved up.
That was the last straw for Youngjae as he abruptly turned around, grabbing both of (Y/n)'s arms and pinned her down, hovering above her, making her eyes widen at his sudden change in attitude.
“What the hell are you trying to do exactly?” he snarled at her, gripping her arms tightly as he glared. His features were contorted as he scowled and he visibly seemed tired.
(Y/n)'s face turned more crimson if that was possible and she felt herself squirming under his cold gaze. “I-I.. I w-was.. Just” She started stuttering and felt completely embarrassed. She wanted to dig a deep whole and be ten feet under the ground.
“Just what?!” He spat with his jaw clenched making her flinch and shut her eyes as an immediate reaction. She took a deep breath and opened her eyes again, only to get locked under his piercing gaze.
“W.. We’re.. We’re married now so I kind of thought… That maybe. Uh” She immediately turned her burning face away from him unable to look at him any longer. “Get a step higher? Be intimate?” He raised an eyebrow at her flushed face. “The fact that we’re married changes nothing and I want you to know this clearly. Besides, we won’t be married for long anyway. We’ll get divorced after a year so there is no need for attachments.”
Leaving her shell-shocked, he got off of her and returned to his side, away from her. (Y/n)’s world crashed completely at the new revelation and her eyes widened as she stared at him dumbstruck still trying to process his words. Her heartbeat skyrocketed and her body started shaking violently as she clenched her fists to calm herself. Nothing made sense to her, everything got lost in her mind as she struggled to find words and force back the lump forming in her throat. Her voice got lost and so many questions raced through her tired mind.
Maybe it wasn’t meant to be after all.
____________
The next day, (Y/n)’s eyes fluttered open as she heard the sound of typing. She blinked a few times while rubbing her face to look at the sound of the noise and saw that Youngjae was seated on the couch with his laptop in his lap as he furiously typed away something with concentration.
“What are you doing up this early?” She grunting, looking at her husband. “Work” He murmured not looking at her as he continued typing.
“Didn’t you get the time off?” She frowned as she slowly sat up in bed and looked at the clock. 10:24. “I got bored.” Was all he said as he continued doing whatever he was. Ignoring the fact that he didn’t put the effort of showing even the slightest emotions, she slowly stood and went to wash up.
The day passed agonizingly slow as they both continued to avoided one another and minded their own businesses not bothering to even look at each other. Soon enough, (Y/n) found herself getting ready for their family dinner.
____________
“I’m glad you two could make it!” Youngjae’s father grinned at his son and daughter-in-law as they both stood at the door of the huge mansion. “Come on in!” He beckoned with his hand and led them towards the dining table where everyone was waiting. Seeing the couple enter, (Y/n)’s parents and Youngjae’s mother stood up and started greeting them with happiness.
It wasn’t long until food was displayed. The light conversation continued between everyone. Starting from politics to their own business matters that is, until Mrs (L/n) spoke up. “So, when are we going to see some grandchildren?!” She excitedly clapped her hands together. “Yes, I was meaning to ask that too!” Youngjae’s mother immediately chimed in.
Youngjae spit out the water he was drinking causing his father to rub the poor boys back soothingly while stiffing his laughter at their adorable reactions when he saw (Y/n) choke on her food, turning crimson as she coughed to get a hold of herself and gulped down her whole glass of water.
“We’re not ready yet” Youngjae embarrassingly laughed rubbing the back of his neck when he recovered after a while and looked down, as red as (Y/n), making everyone burst into laughter.
“I’m sorry about my mother today” (Y/n) started in the middle of their drive towards home. “It’s alright” he chuckled, the sound music to her ears as she felt herself smiling. Maybe somewhere, there might be a chance she thought to herself.
The next few days passed by slowly as both had a week off due to their weddings. Being tired of Youngjae’s one syllable replies to everything (Y/n) said as she tried to strike up a conversation with her husband who didn’t even look at her, she stopped trying and shut herself away in their room watching movies and stuff while Youngjae sat in their living room doing whatever the hell he was. She didn’t want to hurt herself with her futile attempts to talk to him.
____________
“Youngjae!” (Y/n) excitedly waved at her 12 year old best friend as she saw him heading towards the school on the same route. “Oh, hey (Y/n)” he gently smiled at the girl who walked next to him with his hands tucked in his pockets. “Why didn’t you stop by my house yesterday? I kept waiting you know” She said after a while.
Youngjae was slowly drifting apart from her and that slightly worried her. But they were still good friends and cared for one another which slightly relaxed her. “Yeah, I’m sorry about that. Something came up with dad and I forgot to tell you” he laughed, clearly embarrassed. “It’s alright Youngjae-ah” she smiled.
____________
Returning home by 9:30, (Y/n) was surprised to see that Youngjae still hadn’t returned home yet but glad nonetheless. She couldn’t help but feel worried for him. Despite everything, he was still her husband. And she would care for him unconditionally until the papers were displayed in front of her for her signature.
She decided to make instant ramen as she was too tired to cook anything and had emptied the bowl instantly after it was ready. After an hour she decided to go to sleep since her eyes were begging for salvation. Youngjae had returned home late, near 11 and was glad to see that (Y/n) was sleeping soundly on their bed this time.
______________
“Hey, have you seen Youngjae?” (Y/n) asked her friend Emma after not having seen Youngjae for the whole day. He had stopped answering her calls and they barely saw each other now.
“Yeah, he was heading back I think. You can still catch him if you move out quickly”
Nodding her head with a small ‘thank you’ (Y/n) sprinted towards their highschool gate and saw Youngjae leaving with a few friends.
“Youngjae!” She yelled his name loudly and waved her arms as she stood still, trying to catch up on much needed breath. He turned to look at her and after one glimpse, turned around walking again as if nothing happened while (Y/n) stood there dumbfounded wondering what had gotten into her friend.
____________
"It's lovely to be here!" Youngjae mother smiled, entering their shared apartment. His parents were over for dinner and seeing the time, they were now spending the night at their place. "Come on Umma, I'll show you your room." (Y/n) softly smiled at her mother -in-law, having no objections to referring to her as 'umma', she'd known the woman her entire life.
After her in-laws settled down, she made her way to her own room, finding Youngjae sitting under the covers, his glasses on as he was reading. Making her way into the bathroom, she too got ready for bed and soon joined him, with both of them pretending to fall asleep with their backs to each other.
It was sometime around midnight when the pair, who were still wide awake for their own reasons, heard whispering and light footsteps outside their door. "Shhh, you're making too much noise, I just want to see if they actually love each other." Came Youngjae's mother's voice as two bodies pressed against their door. (Y/n)'s eyes widened, this was not expected, what were they going to do now? Their parents weren't meant to know about their divorce agreement, at the end of one year, they would separate, telling their parents that they were unable to have children or some other lie.
"This is wrong, let them have their privacy." Came another hushed whisper, no doubt Youngjae's father. "Shhh, if they don't want to give me grandchildren, they're probably having a go at it." Came an excited reply. Singing softly, Youngjae got up, tapping (Y/n) on the shoulder, causing her to turn around. He got on to his knees, moving on top of her, one knee on either side as he leaned over her, causing her eyes to widen even more if possible.
"Yah, w-what aa-rre y-ou doing?" She softly stuttered as he leaned down into her ear. "Just pretend along." He whispered, placing one hand on the headboard, softly rocking the bed so it hit the wall as he growled into her ear, unaware of the fact that it was sending shivers down her spine. His other hand grabbed her wrist, pulling it down, causing her to let out a soft cry as his hips grinded against her own. This was downright humiliating, never in her life had she been so fucking humiliated. Her face was redder than a tomato, her heart racing faster than a cheetah.
"I'm not going to pretend!" She harshly whispered, only for Youngjae to reply by kissing her earlobe, causing her to let out a moan. The entire ordeal lasted for 3 minutes, and these 3 minutes were the by far worst moments of her life. Hearing the footsteps fade away from their door, Youngjae stopped, letting go of her wrist and moving off of her, hanging his head low in shame.
"We need to make them believe that we tried." He stated, before grabbing his pillow and moving off the bed, after all, he couldn't bring himself to share a bed with her after this. He soon settled down on the couch, only to hear soft sobs coming from across the room as (Y/n) tightly clutched her pillow, burying her face in it to muffle out the sound.
She hated the fact that she loved him so much, she absolutely hated it.
_____________
A week had gone by as the pair drowned themselves in work, returning home late, barely seeing each other’s faces aside from their sleeping forms and now was the weekend, when no matter how much they tried, they wouldn’t be able to avoid one another. They hadn’t spoken a word to one another, especially about their last conversation as if nothing happened and that made the both of them silently happy. To top things off, she even slept in the guestroom, not wanting to share a bed with him after what had happened.
(Y/n) stood in the kitchen trying to reach the jar of sugar which Youngjae had accidentally placed in a higher cabinet which made it hard for (y/n) to reach there. Even when she jumped, her hand just touched the jar.
Huffing angrily, she glared at the jar thinking of less drastic ways to get it down. Youngjae was passing by and saw that his wife was in a conundrum caused by him. He strolled over to her. “Step aside” he mumbled in his usual robotic way as he stood behind (Y/n).
She yelped having heard his voice as she was lost in thought figuring out ways to get the damn thing down, not noticing her husband. “Sorry” she sheepishly chuckled and made room for him to the jar. Youngjae had freshly applied moisturizer on his hands which he had forgotten about as he reached for the glass jar. As soon as he reached up and pulled it, it slipped from his slender digits and fell on the kitchen counter, breaking into small shards of glass that flew everywhere.
As an immediate reaction, Youngjae’s hands came in front of his face as he backed away while turning his face away as most of the glass pieces were headed his way since he was an inch away from the counter. (Y/n) was at a safe distance but that didn’t stop the small pieces to pierce the tender flesh of her arms that she had put in front as a shield and tiny drops of blood leaked out, but nothing serious.
(Y/n) gasped when she saw Youngjae’s left arm that had a many deep cuts that were small but were bleeding. “Hang on a second!” (Y/n) said in panic as she rushed towards their washroom to grab the first aid kit while Youngjae inspected his arm that was now adorned with a few deep cuts.
Hearing rushed footsteps, his head turned towards the noise and saw (y/n) entering with the first aid kit. Running towards the sink, she opened the tap and drenched the towel a bit, rushing to his side soon after. “Sit down” she ordered referring to the chair next to their island.
He wordless obeyed and watched her as she gingerly grabbed his arm and cleaned the wound making his hiss. “What were you thinking?” She said with furrowed eyebrows, not looking up and ignoring his hissing as she cleaned the blood.
“What?” He asked.
“Being careless like that! You could have hurt yourself really bad you know” She sighed as she put the towel away and got the disinfectant. “This will sting a bit. Hold onto something” She warned before applying it making a small whimper escape his lips.
“Stop being such a child Youngjae” she chuckled watching his reaction as his eyes were screwed shut and his face contorted. He opened his eyes after a while and saw that there was blood on her arm as well.
Immediately, he made a grab for her arm with his other one, holding it in place. “You’re hurt too. I’ll take care of this, you can tend to your wound” He slowly said, gazing at her with slight worry. She smiled retracting her arm and shaking her head. “It’s not as bad as yours, it can wait. Just a small cut” she shrugged as she continued applying the disinfectant, slowly and thoroughly.
Youngjae stared at the woman completely awestruck. He was in utter disbelief. After everything he put her through, every drop of pain, in spite of everything, she was still taking care of him when she herself needed help. She was unbelievable. If it was any other girl, she would’ve been glad he got hurt but no, not (y/n), she wasn’t like that. Grabbing the bandage, she tenderly started wrapping it around his arm with such gentleness which Youngjae thought never existed.
“You need to be more careful Youngjae, this could have been a lot worse. Be glad no glass got stuck in your skin. We would’ve had to go to the doctor. First off all, who the hell places a sugar jar at the upper most cabinet? Something which is used so frequently! And You know I can’t reach that high don’t you? Be mor-" (Y/n) kept rambling on about things he didn’t care for as he only gazed at her, banishing all other sounds away. Watching how her eyebrows creased in worry for him, how her soft lips moved angrily in contrast to her gentle movements. “Because I won’t always be there to help you now. There. All done” She triumphantly smiled, looking up only for her breath to get stuck in her throat.
Youngjae was only a centimeter away from her and she could feel his vanilla-scented breath fanning over her face. It wasn’t only the closeness that made her heart skip a beat and made warmth spread in her stomach, it was also the way he gazed at her. Love. Never had he glimpsed at her like that. With soft eyes filled with warmth and his lips curled slightly upwards.
The scene before her took her breath away suddenly it was hard to stand. With a brush between heaven and hell, their lips connected in a soft kiss as both of them were in a daze. This was everything (Y/n) wanted. His arms wrapped around her and sharing a sweet kiss. As she felt Youngjae pull her closer to him, deepening the kiss, (Y/n) kissed back with more confidence knowing he wanted this.
Youngjae was soon pulled back to reality he felt (Y/n) bite his bottom lip. His eyes widened a fraction and he immediately retracted from her, jumping off the seat and backing away. “I’m sorry. That was a mistake. You shouldn’t think anything changed because of that” He rushed out of the kitchen leaving a baffled (Y/n) behind.
Gaining her strength back, she looked at the spot where he last was and unconsciously touched her lips again, reminiscing over this memory that had now become a treasured one. Even though it may be a mistake according to him, but the look in his eyes, the way he pulled her close, that gave her hope even when one would believe everything was lost after the decision of divorce but to her, if even a grain of hope remained, she’d grasp it with dear life and that would be enough sustenance for her.
______________
The following day, (Y/n) had to leave for work later than usual and so, she got up and decided to make breakfast while Youngjae got ready. The two of them had breakfast together that day before Youngjae left which was a pleasant change for (Y/n). Just when she was about to leave the house herself, her gaze landed on some files placed at the coffee table. Grabbing the files, she opened them and saw a very familiar logo of Youngjae and his father’s company. He had forgotten these files. That guy, (Y/n) irritably thought as she left the house with the files safely tucked under her arm. She’d have to stop by his office.
Arriving at the building, she was greeted by many people she knew and some who just smiled and waved. Having come here once before, (Y/n) somewhat remembered the directions to his office, but before she could head there, she unintentionally gazed into the break room and her eyes lit up when she saw a familiar mop of dark brown hair and that heart fluttering smile.
She opened the door silently going inside, “Youn-“ her voice got stuck in her throat as she saw a woman leaning down and kissing him. (Y/n) stood still with wide eyes as the look of horror crossed her face and the pair were too absorbed in themselves to notice her presence. Her hands flew up to her face as she gasped to hold back tears, but her attempt proved to be futile as teardrops rolled down her cheek one after another, and it became hard to breath. The files she was holding in her hand slipped, falling down and alerting the couple of her presence as they immediately backed away. When Youngjae saw (Y/n), his expression mirrored hers as he reached a hand forward. “(Y/n)-"
“Save it” She spat with venom in her voice and stumbled back as tears continued falling. Seeing him walk towards her, she took a turn and started running out of there ignore his shouts of her name.
_____________
"Dae-Daehy-un." She sobbed, trying to gain her composure as she called her best friend. "Oh God (Y/n), is everything ok? Did Youngjae do anything, I swear to God if he did something, I'll kill him, tell me damnit, are you ok?" He continued on the other side, not knowing why she was crying.
"He-e, ch-ea-eating o-n me-e." She sobbed, allowing herself to break down fully within the four walls of her old apartment. Apart from the couple themselves, Daehyun knew everything about their little agreement. Initially, he'd been so against it, he wanted to beat Youngjae up but after hearing about their little moments and how much she loved him, he allowed them to be.
"That son of a, I'm coming over, you're at your old place right?" He asked and (Y/n) gave him a weak yes, waiting for her best friend to get her and wrap his arms around her, after all, her husband was busy wrapping his own arms around another woman.
______________
"(Y/n)! Where were you? I called you so many times, I even asked yours parents, answer me damnit!" Youngjae yelled as (Y/n) walked in to their apartment, completely ignoring him as she made her way towards her room.
"Where were you?" He asked, grabbing her arm and turning her around, and that's when he noticed her smudged eyeliner, her red, puffy eyes, the dried tears on her skin, the cut on her lip (thanks to her biting it so much).
"Let go of me Youngjae." She sighed softly, pulling her hand out of his grip, not wanting to talk to him after the events of yesterday. She'd spent the night at her own apartment, with Daehyun, who'd done his best to comfort his friend when she found out that her husband was openly cheating on her with another woman.
"(Y/n), just listen to me damit." Youngjae groaned, running a hand through his hair as he watched her pull out a suitcase from her closet.
"Where are you going?" He questioned her, shutting the lid of her suitcase, forcing her to look up at him.
"I'm leaving Youngjae, I'm not going to stop you from being with her, just leave me alone." She sighed, her lower lip trembling terribly as tears welled up in her eyes, no, she wasn't going to cry now.
"You can't! Our parents will know damnit, it'll all be over, you can't do this." He said, trying to sallow the lump in his own throat, he didn't want to hurt her, but deep down, he knew this was going to happen one day.
"Don't worry, I won't tell them anything, I'll come to the charity ball with you, just leave me alone, I can't do more than that, just go be with her, she makes you happy, I wish both of you the best." She said, turning away from him as she pushed his hands off her suitcase and continued packing.
_____________
Two weeks, two weeks had gone past since she'd left, two weeks since she'd last seen Youngjae, since she'd last spoken to him and frankly, there wasn't a single night when she didn't cry herself to sleep, wondering what she lacked for him to do this to her. Daehyun tried his best to cheer her up, he'd even taken her to Japan for two days along with himself and his fiancée who was also a close friend of (Y/n)'s, but nothing worked. He saw right through her fake smiles, her mask, she was broken on the inside.
It was a regular evening, after returning from her office and having a shower, (Y/n) was seated in front of the TV as she ate her dinner when her doorbell went off. Putting her plate down, she made her way towards the door, wondering who it could be at this time. Opening the door, she came face to face with her husband, causing her eyes to widen.
"Youngjae, what are you doing here?" She asked, seeing him lean against the door frame, his eyes were bloodshot, his hair a mess, his tie loosely hung around his neck and his shirt untucked.
"Jagi!" He exclaimed, coming forward and entering her apartment, his voice higher than usual, the strong smell of alcohol dripping off him and (Y/n) sighed, moving aside to let him in, he had never been able to handle alcohol well. He stumbled inside the living room, rubbing the back of his neck as he collapsed backwards on her couch. "How much have you had to drink?" She asked, moving towards the kitchen to get him some water.
"I started thinking about you after the 6th shot, I lost control I guess." He replied, shutting his eyes tightly, not being able to handle the volume of the TV as he groaned. (Y/n) came back up to him, shaking his shoulder slightly to get him to open his eyes as she handed him the glass of water, which he obediently took. She sighed as she turned the TV off, and seeing that Youngjae was in no shape to leave at this moment, she pulled out the extra set of blankets into the guestroom, fixing the bed for him.
As she continued to fix the new bedsheets on the bed, two familiar arms engulfed her waist, pulling her back against a hard chest. She instantly froze upon contact as Youngjae's warm breath tickled the sensitive skin on her neck and ear, his head resting on her shoulder. "Jagi, you're so beautiful." He whispered, placing an open mouthed kiss on her neck, pulling her closer to his chest, his soft hair tickling her as she tightly gripped his forearms with her hands, feeling her brain go fuzzy. "Youngjae, let go of me." She sighed, coming back to reality, know that this was an effect of the alcohol. She pushed his arms off her and turned around, only to be pushed backwards on to the bed by him, his usual soft, loving eyes covered by a dark mask. Anger? Lust? Regret? Grief?
"Youngjae, what on earth are you doing?" She harshly yelled as he took off his tie and coat. Before he could do anything more, his eyes shut themselves, and he collapsed forward, falling unconscious on top of her causing her to yelp loudly. Pushing his weight off her body, she stood up and placed a hand on his forehead, finding that his skin was burning hot, he was sick.
This idiot, he's overworked himself again.
She thought, having heard about these incidents from his mother. Sighing, she picked him up, and took his shoes and socks off, placed his feet on the bed and turned him around and tucked him under the covers. She made her way into the kitchen, grabbing some medicines and a wet towel.
She continued to nurse him the entire night, and it was around 4 in the morning when Youngjae stirred, feeling a wet strip on his forehead and saw (Y/n) leaning against the headboard, her lips slightly parted, her hair covering her eyes as she slept in the uncomfortable position. Rubbing his eyes, he slowly got up, the exhaustion weighing him down as he grabbed her hand, waking her up in the process and pulled her towards him, wrapping his arm around her waist and pulling her close to him as he dozed off again.
(Y/n)'s heartbeat went through the roof, feeling Youngjae so close to her, in such an intimate position, her breath got stuck in her throat.
Silly girl, it's the fever and the alcohol, he already has her, but….this feels so right?
She thought, but giving in to her own selfish wants, she relaxed in his arms, allowing herself to fall back into a peaceful slumber for once in a long time.
_______________
Youngjae sat up, the events of last night rushing back to him as he ran a hand through his hair and got up, making his way out of the room to find (Y/n) in the kitchen, talking quietly on the phone. "Yeah, I gotta go check up on him, I'll call you later." She smiled, ending the call and looking up to meet his eyes.
"Are you alright?" She asked but before he could answer, the doorbell rang, interrupting the pair. Sighing, she made her way to the door, opening it to find a familiar figure, it was her.
"I've been trying to look for Youngjae, is he here?" She asked, her words stabbing into (Y/n)'s heart, obviously, he'd chosen her, last night didn't mean anything, and it never would.
"Yeah, he's here, he's all yours." She mumbled, lowering her gaze and opening the door further to let her in. Reaching over to the desk beside the table, she grabbed her wallet and coat. "I'll let you guys be, just make sure you close the door properly." She softly said before closing the door behind her and sprinting down the stairs, reaching the fire exit where she slid down next to the wall and broke down, not being able to control her pain anymore.
He loves her, not me, he'll never be mine
_______________
"Don't go with him (Y/n), don't do this to yourself." Daehyun sighed, watching her apply lip gloss on to her lips. She wore a light grey dress, falling to the floor, her hair let out in curls behind her back. "I can't break this to our parents, not yet, he wasn't mine to begin with, there's no point in fighting for him anymore, the least I can do is make my parents happy now." She softly smiled at her best friend, who said nothing but engulfed her in a hug, his hands caressing her hair as he kissed her hair, what had she done to deserve this?
She'd married the man she'd loved before she even knew what love meant and this is what he'd done to her, broken her, cheated her, humiliated her and here she was, ready for him to do it again. "Come on, I'll drive you there." He said, pulling away and leading her down to his car. The drive was quite short, with the two best friends jamming to their favourite tunes, laughing together for the first time in months.
"Be careful, and I'll pick you up!" Daehyun smiled at her as she got out of her car and went up to Youngjae's apartment, only to find him waiting at the elevators, dressed in a sharp black suit, looking breath taking as ever.
______________
"Aww, look at my children, so in love and perfect for each other!" Mrs Yoo gushed, watching Youngjae and (Y/n) waltz slowly. Despite their closeness, (Y/n) made sure to stay as far away as possible from him, avoiding his gaze at all costs. "(Y/n), thank you for coming." Youngjae softly spoke, smiling at her softly and she looked up, her (e/c) eyes meeting his own. "I didn't come for you, I came for my parents, your parents, not for you." She replied as he twirled her around, dipping her down, his strong arms holding her up as they stayed in that position.
"You don't understand damnit." He replied, seeing all eyes on them as they were the only ones left on the dance floor, he took to the opportunity to pull her up and press his lips against her own, giving everyone a show. (Y/n) instantly froze up against him but she couldn't push him away, and he knew this.
____________
"Just listen to me!" Youngjae yelled, giving in to his emotions and raising his voice.
"What do you want from me? Huh?!" She yelled back, finally losing her own temper, he'd been pushing her buttons all evening, trying to talk to her, bringing up Jaelee's name up again and again even when she asked him to stop talking about his girlfriend, he showed no shame, no remorse about cheating on her.
"Just listen to me for once!" He pleaded, his eyes boring into hers. (Y/n) scoffed, taking her large heavy earrings off, he'd brought them back to his apartment and here they were, having a screaming match with each other.
"What do you want to tell me? That'll I'll never have what Jaelee has? Or that our marriage is fake? I fucking loved you Youngjae, ever since I was 12, I'm 27 now! I've loved you for 15 years, I've loved you so much, and when I married you, I thought we could finally be together! I was raised being told that I'd marry you! You have no idea what it feels like, watching the man you love, the man you're married to in another woman's arms Youngjae, you have no fucking idea!" She spat, letting out her bottled up rage, leaning her back against the wall to support herself. She was tired, the constant lies, the pain, her head throbbed as tears escaped her eyes.
"I let you be, I let you chose her, I wanted you to be happy but why do you keep playing with me like this huh?" She asked, letting herself break down as sobs ripped through her body as she slid down against the wall, not caring if her dress got scratched or torn.
Youngjae watched helpless from the other side of the room, he didn't expect this kind of reaction and neither did he expect her to be in love with him? How could see love such a person? He'd been as cold as ice to her since they were 16, heck, he cheated on their marriage and yet here she was, pouring her heart out to him. Not being able to bare his guilt any longer, he made his way forward, his hands tenderly resting on the broken girl's shoulders as he pulled her forward, using one hand to caress her hair as the other held her shoulder as she cried into his shoulder.
Not being able to take the pain in her head anymore, (Y/n) closed her eyes, giving into the void of darkness as she fell limp in Youngjae's arms.
______________
"Thank god you're awake." Youngjae smiled down at her as she opened her eyes, adjusting to the brightness of the white hospital room.
"What are you doing here?" She hoarsely asked, their previous yelling match having taken a toll on her voice, she wasn't used to using her voice in such a manner.
"You passed out, I brought you here, the doctors say it was due to fatigue and undernourishment." He explained as she sat up, pushing his hands away from herself. "Leave me alone Youngjae, just go." She pleaded him, knowing where this was going to go. She'd confessed to him, after all this time, 15 years but she'd already lost him.
Breaking the thick tension that hung in the room, a female doctor came in, smiling widely. "Mr Yoo, Dr. Lee told me you were here, I can give you the good news in person, your partner, Jaelee is 1 month pregnant." The doctor beamed happily, unaware of the fact that she'd just torn (Y/n) entire world apart.
______________
"Come on, let's go, don't over think your decision." Daehyun muttered, watching (Y/n) stare at her suitcase which lay on the bed. She'd written a letter to both her and Youngjae's familiy, stating the truth and before those letters would arrive, she'd be long gone out of the country, leaving her old life behind.
She'd also written a letter to Youngjae and Jaelee, wishing them and their child the best as she promised to stay out of their lives forever. Sighing, something she did very often now, she picked up her bag and suitcase, following Daehyun down the stairs, into his car. He was dropping her off at the airport, from there, she was moving to London, already having found a job there, she wanted to get as far away as possible from South Korea.
I wish you nothing but happiness Youngjae, I hope we’ll meet in another life time, I'm doing this all in the name of love. Umma, Appa, please forgive me, I couldn't be the daughter you wanted, I'm nothing but a disappointment but I have to leave, I can't stay here any longer, I'm so sorry.
_____________
3 years later~
"Yeah, I'll be over soon, yeah, I'll bring the cheesecake, kiss Yoona for me." (Y/n) laughed, disconnecting the call with Daehyun. Daehyun and his wife, Aika had settled down in London too, the pair had recently had their daughter, Yoona and here she was, out buying groceries for the new parents as Yoona was sick.
She continued making her way through the aisles, grabbing what Aika had written on the list, what she didn't notice was the pair of familiar brown eyes watching her with nothing but love. He continued watching her, before gaining the courage to ask go up to her.
"(Y/n)…" He trailed off, calling out her name. Upon hearing a familiar voice, she froze, he'd found her. Gulping, she turned around, meeting Youngjae's soft gaze. He still looked handsome as ever, his previously black hair was now a dark brown, matching his eyes as he wore a red jacket and black jeans.
"Youngjae, what are you doing here?" She asked, moving past him as she held the basket in her hands and he followed her. "I need to talk to you, please." He added, softly grabbing her arm. Sighing, she agreed, she was still madly in love with him.
After paying for the groceries and putting the things away in her car, she followed him to the small café besides the supermarket and the pair sat down in a secluded corner, ordering themselves coffee.
"I didn't sign the papers you left." Youngjae spoke, breaking the tension between them. (Y/n) looked up at him, surprised at his confession.
"Jaelee, the baby wasn't mine, funny isn't it? She cheated on a cheater." He bitterly chuckled. "Why are you here Youngjae?" (Y/n) asked, not understanding why he was telling her this.
"I've been in love with you since I was 14 (Y/n), marrying you was the best decision of my life, my most beautiful memory." He looked at her, his eyes twinkling. "What?" She gasped, not believing.
"Let me explain, it was my father." He continued, grabbing her cold hands that rested on the table with his warm ones.
"We both grew up knowing we'd marry each other, it was all perfect, until Jaelee's family entered the scene. Her father, he was an influential businessman, even bigger than both our parents. Father thought it would be perfect for me to marry her but he'd already given his word to your parents, he couldn't back out, their companies had already merged when we were younger based on this deal." He continued, in a sour tone.
"So, what my father recommended was for me to marry you, but divorce you after a year, and continue seeing Jaelee behind your back. I didn't agree at first, but then he threatened to take your parent's half of the business away….I had no choice….I was a fool for agreeing, not telling you." He sighed, his gaze falling to the floor, he couldn't stand to look her in the eye.
Mr Yoo? How could he?
Youngjae saved my family, oh dear god, he loves me? He loves me…
But he could have told me, I would have supported him, you idiot.
Closing her eyes and taking a deep breath, she regained composure on herself, knowing this wasn't the place to cry or make a scene. Pulling her hands out of his grip, she got up, reaching into her wallet to pay for her drink.
"Where are you going? Did you marry Daehyun?" He asked, his voice trembling at the last bit. "No, Daehyun is my best friend whose married and has a kid." She replied, waving her arms.
"Pleaser say something, please." Youngjae pleaded, his eyes looking at her for an answer. "I don't know what to do Youngjae, I can't thank you enough for saving my family's business but I can't forgive you for what I did, no matter how much I love you, not yet." She sighed, taking out money from her wallet but he stopped her and she sighed, shoving her wallet back in her bag.
"Give me a chance (N/n)." He smiled, using her old nickname from when they were kids, surprising her that he still remembered that. "I have to go now Youngjae, I'm sorry." She gave him an apologetic smile, making her way out of the café but she noticed it was raining, pouring heavily and she was not dressed for the weather.
Youngjae followed her, leaving their drinks behind as he came to a halt, watching her. Quickly, he took off his jacket, taking the first step towards forgiveness as he draped it over her shoulders.
(Y/n) looked at him, her hands going to her shoulders as she held the jacket there. If she accepts the jacket, there was a chance and so she did, giving him a soft smile as she walked out into the rain, causing him to smile, old memories rushing into his head.
Youngjae knocked on the door, only to be greeted by (Y/n)'s mother who smiled at the teenager. "Ahh, Youngjae come in, I'm afraid (Y/n) can't go to the carnival with you, she has a really bad fever." Her mother informed the boy, whose smile disappeared upon hearing the news. "It's ok, I'll stay with her then!" He smiled, and she let him in and he made his way up the stairs, walking into her bedroom.
She was curled up under the covers, her messy hair spread out everywhere and her pink lips were slightly parted, as her chest rose and fell. Youngjae took off his backpack and placed it on her desk and made his way towards her bed, pulling her chair next to her bed. He leaned closer to her, brushing the hair out of her face, revealing her red cheeks.
"Silly girl, who asked you to play in the rain yesterday?" He chuckled, softly caressing her cheek, which was quiet warm. (Y/n) leaned into his touch, moving her head against his hand and he chuckled, she was too cute.
Her pink lips look inviting, soft, tender, and most of all, smelling like vanilla thanks to her lip balm. She looked beautiful and that's when Youngjae found himself leaning down, his gaze fixed on her lips as he placed his own ones on her soft lips.
Heaven, absolutely heavenly. He pushed a little harder against her lips, allowing them to linger against her ones for a while, not wanting to pull away and suddenly, he felt her lips move against his own, even in her unconscious state, she approved of his actions. She wasn't kissing him back, no, but her lips moved, enough to shock Youngjae as he pulled back, his face redder than hers as his fingers traced his lips softly.
He'd just kissed the love of his life. And boy did it feel good.
Yongguk – Gukkie would try to give you most of his food anyway. He doesn’t eat a lot and wants to see you happy so naturally he’d start to slide some over. You’d have to be firm about him not giving you too much. He’d also be reluctant to ‘take’ your food even if you offered it. But if you were eating something unusual, tempting him with the ‘new experience’ card would work.
Himchan – Trying new foods together or even just sharing off one another’s plate is a way people bond. So this would be one of his favorite things to do with you. But he’d definitely keep an eye on what you were eating to make sure you were getting enough. If there wasn’t that much food to be had he’d give you most, if not all, of his own.
Daehyun – Of course he’s going to tease you that he must love you a lot if he’s going to share his food with you. Like every time you eat. He’d also be very playful, offering to feed you bites and then pull them away with an irrepressible grin. But in the end, he’d feed you the food after all and happily share what’s on his plate. He’d just have to order more.
Youngjae – Would be the guy who offered to feed you and then pull it away, but unlike Daehyun, he’d pop it in his own mouth. When you complained he’d laugh in delight. Once he calmed down he’d gesture for you to eat your own food. He would eventually share his food if you seriously wanted to try something (and yes he’d love feeding you). But in the beginning he wouldn’t be able to resist teasing you.
Jongup – He wouldn’t have any qualms about sharing his food with you. But if he was starving or it was something he really enjoyed he’d either give you really small bites, choose the bigger half for himself, or sneak some off your plate when you were gone or not looking. If you caught him, he’d sheepishly offer more of his own food to you in apology.
Zelo – Food isn’t that big of a deal to him so he wouldn’t care about sharing. Take what you want as long as you returned the favor and didn’t try to take his favorites. That’s when he’d protest. He may want to try feeding you or being fed but feel awkward and not be able to do it without curling into a ball of embarrassment. He’d like the idea but in reality it’d be too cheesy for him.
Here’s my first attempt at writing a BAP sceario! It’s in the Skydive AU and it’s a mix of reader x Jongup and reader x Yongguk. You’ll see as you read. :)

MASTERLIST
Not an ounce of remorse shot through Jongup as he watched each of his members slowly get shot off, one by one. The boy felt a shot hit him in the upper chest, and stumbled back, into someone’s arms. By their build he could tell that it was Youngjae. Jongup’s legs gave out from under him and he fell down with the other boy.
“Jongup-ah!” Youngjae yelled out, shaking Jongup. The boy feigned death, letting his body go completely limp in the older one’s arms. Youngjae yelled out once more before he was silenced by a bullet. The dead weight from Yongjae caused the two to fall over.
From Jongup’s position, he watched through half open eyes as Junhong and Yongguk were shot down. Waiting a few moments for the echoes of gunfire to stop, Jongup stood up, smirking as he looked at each of the boys he had spent so much time with. Standing over Yongguk, he kneeled down and searched his pockets for his phone. Finding it, he opened it and stared at the picture of the girl on the lockscreen.
“You had this coming…” Jongup whispered, “Ever since you took her away from me.”
Jongup walked away from the body, making sure no one else was alive. His eyes fell on Daehyun, who sat against a concrete column and fighting to hang on to life. The boy’s hand shook as he tried to grab his gun off of the ground and point it.
Kicking the leg that Daehyun had bent up, Jongup kneeled down and almost straddling one of his legs. Daehyun’s shaking hand struggled to lift the gun up to Jongup’s abdomen. Chuckling, Jongup turned the gun in Daehyun’s hand so that it was pointing at the boy’s chest.
“Why…?” Daehyun attempted to say.
“Because I needed everyone here in one spot. I couldn’t have anyone around as competition anymore. You were just a pawn in that story to hold everyone’s attention.” Jongup smiled before pulling on the trigger and ending the boy’s life.
Standing, he ran a hand through his hair and made his way out of the building as he shed his ruined jacket and shirt to expose the bulletproof vest that was hidden. Taking it off, he replaced it with his tattered shirt.
Without a second glance, he left, leaving all of his old comrades to lay in the ruins of the fight.

Reader’s POV
You sat on your couch, a blanket tightly wrapped around you and waiting for your boyfriend to return. He was a member of a gang, and tonight they’d planned to raid another gang’s headquarters. Nights like these were anxiety filled as you didn’t know what would happen, or if your lover would even return.
Flipping through the TV channels you attempted to distract yourself by finding something to watch. All that was on, however, were sappy romantic movies. Rolling your eyes, you pulled out your laptop and began to rewatch Scarlet Heart Ryeo.
You were able to get about three episodes in before you were startled by a banging at your door. Shooting up, you pulled your gun out from under the couch cushion and cautiously approached the front door. If it was your boyfriend, he would have either called you before he was on his way or had knocked in a certain pattern to alert you that it was him. But, neither of those had occurred so you had no idea who was beyond the door.
Blood pumping in your ears, you turned the safety off and let your free hand hover over the lock. “Who’s there?” You called out.
“Y/N… It’s Jongup…”
Immediately you started to unlock your door, but still a little hesitant as you opened it. Jongup’s voice had sounded exhausted and husky. The fact that he sounded as though he was alone set a small alarm off in the back of your mind. Shouldn’t your boyfriend be with him? Or at least another member of the gang?
“Jongup oppa, where’s every-” You stopped talking as soon as you saw the state that Jongup was in. His shirt was tattered and bloodstained, hair disheveled and a mess, and his eyes were glossed over with pain and sadness.
“They… They didn’t make it.”
Your heart dropped at his words and you felt like you were going to be sick. “Y-Yongguk…?” Jongup shook his head and slowly walked into your apartment, closing the door behind him. Backing up, you dropped your gun and sank against the closest wall as tears burned your eyes. “Yongguk is… dead?”
“I’m so sorry Y/N…” Jongup took a few steps towards you.
Suddenly your sadness turned into anger as you locked eyes with Jongup. Sensing your change in demeanor he hesitated, freezing in place.
“You could have protected him…” You whispered. “Why are you here, when he’s not?”
Hurt flashed across Jongup’s face at your words. He closed the space between the two of you, taking you into his arms. That’s when the tears started to fall uncontrollably, blurring your vision as you attempted to pull out of the boy's grip. You tried to push him away, to bang on his chest and get him to release you, but he held on tight. He held you until your energy drained and you melted into a crying puddle.
“I’m so sorry.” Jongup whispered into your hair. “I wanted to protect him. Then I saw him go down. I ran to him and tried to pull him out of the line of fire, but he told me to leave him. To leave him and come here to you and make sure you stayed safe.” You looked up at the boy as he spoke, trying not to imagine Yongguk’s figure lying on the ground. “You were the last person in his thoughts Y/N.”
Nodding, you leaned into the boys comforting hold, letting the last of your tears flow. Jongup ran his fingers through your hair, attempting to calm you, and it worked. You felt your tears begin to stop, and exhaustion took hold of your body as your eyes became heavy.
Jongup’s POV
Jongup watched as Y/N’s eyes slowly closed. He knew she had to have been up for hours waiting on Yongguk to come back from the raid. She had had no idea that he would not return home that night. Jongup smiled, knowing that without Yongguk and the others in the way anymore, he finally didn’t have any competition when it came to Y/N.
Well before she started dating Yongguk, Jongup had fallen hard. Y/N was someone who had accidentally wandered into the gang life, and stayed despite the other member’s surprise. Everyone was attracted to her so Jongup knew that he had to make the first move.
The night he planned to do so was after a raid, when they returned to the bar they used as headquarters. From across the room Jongup locked eyes with Y/N and hesitated for a moment. His heart beat a little faster, and a flush came to his cheeks as a bit of nervousness set in.
However, it all changed when he saw her swept up into Yongguk’s arms. She giggled as the boy spun her around before pressing a passionate kiss against her lips.
Jongup’s blood ran cold as he realised he was too late. That she was someone else’s. But he was unable to accept that fact. Jongup would not allow her to be someone else’s while he stood back and just watched.
His plan started that night. To use one of the other members as a distraction for his ultimate plan. It took a while to set in action, but once Daehyun had fallen deep in love with a girl was when he knew what to do. Using Daehyun’s grl as the distraction, he planned the failed raid that would kill everyone else.
And now here he was, with you asleep in his arm. Jongup knew that he finally had you.
[9:30am] “how’s that?” He asks, a little smirk pulling the corners of his mouth as he watches you sip your strawberry tea.
The early morning sun rises behind you, framing your head like an angel’s halo. Jongup knows you’re not a morning person, but insists on grabbing breakfast at the local cafe every Saturday as part of his weekly ritual.
He knows the frown that has your face all screwed up will ease once your favourite pastries have been devoured.
“It’s fine,” you mutter, rubbing your eyes. “I just wish we were still in bed.”
A waiter steps out of the cafe and places a platter full of breakfast items – your favourite pastries included – on your table.
“Yeah?” Jongup smiles as he watches your face light up in delight. The sight is priceless and gets him every time. “How about now?”
