Jiang Wanyin: [kicks down the door, marches up to the bar, and slams his fist down] MILK!
Barmaid : Do you want that in a shot glass? Or the whole bottle?
Jiang Wanyin: I’ll take the bottle.
Barmaid: Uh, ok? Coming right up.
Wei Wuxian: [saunters up to the bar, sits next to Jiang Wanyin, and also slams his fist down on the counter] I’ll take three shots of vinegar, please!
For a request is it okay if I ask for anything protective Geralt for Jaskier/Geralt?
Sorry this took so long, I hope you like it. 😊✌💖 I just really liked the prompt and kinda ran with it.
"No," was all Geralt said as he pulled Jaskier out of an inn in Novigrad.
This had one of the better inns they had stayed in over their travels but because of its size, Novigrad presented it own unique set of problems - people. And as it turns out, Jaskier is very good at finding problems, which is how they got into the predicament they are in now.
Rushing Jaskier out before he could get them into anymore trouble had been difficult because of his propensity to argue with the witcher over most things, this not being an exception. This wouldn't normally be a problem, but it seems that the large man Jaskier had decided to bully, had friends, and a bar fight wouldn't be very good for buissness, at least that's what Geralt says to himself while dragging the smaller man from the bar, but a fight would especially not be good for Jaskier who can't handle one man, let alone ten, in a fight.
But fate didn't seem to be on their side, because they were followed out of the bar. It didn't help that Jaskier was absolutely pissed and he smelled like it, it was absolutely pungent. If it was inspiration that he was after, it wouldn't do him any good to be too sloshed to remember it, or be to bloodied to write it down.
It's not that Geralt thinks he can't protect Jaskier, because he can, or take on ten men, because he can. It's that when the bard has partaken in spirits, he's ego inflates with every sip. He can take on the men but not while holding on to the little bard. The only safe way out of this situation is to run. Which doesn't do much for the witchers pride, but hey, it can't be helped.
"Bastard, get back here!" One man slurs, stumbling out of the bar with his friends who smell even more of ale than Jaskier does. 'At least this will be easier,' Geralt thinks, not slowing down a bit, still holding Jaskiers hand, (although Jaskier didn't seem to be protesting that part).
It seemed to Geralt that the only course of action now was to find another inn, after Jaskier's "friends" had chased him out of a hot meal and an even hotter bath and After they had out ran them. After all they had been two days travel between this town and the last, and they would pick up a few jobs here and be on the road again in a day or two depending on what there was to be done in Novigrad - all in all, Geralt quite needed a bath.
"You haven't said anything, are you angry?"
"Hmm," Geralt had much more to say than the wordless response, but he knew not speaking riled up Jaskier more than chastising him for his fool behavior ever could. And it seemed to have the desired effect because Jaskier in an effort to read Geralts expression, jogged slightly ahead, but not being sober enough to pull of a graceful change in direction and pace, fell over his own feet. Luckily, Geralt was still holding his hand, (in an effort to not lose him, of course), so he yanked on their connected arms and caught Jakier in his arms. They stayed like that for a moment, Jaskeir in Geralts arms, looking into each others eyes, and then thud, and Jaskier was on the ground.
"So you are mad! Why didn't you just say that?"
Geralt was already at least 20 paces away, still trying to find the nearest inn, so rather than complain now, he stuck a pin in it and caught up to him.
When they finally got into their room, Geralt staired down Jaskier and backed him into the door they had just entered in through, Jaskier had know he was mad but he had not known the extent of it. The witchers orange eyes glowed with rage and a tinge of concern.
"How could you have been so stupid?" The witcher asked, but it was a question that was not meant to be answered.
The bard just hung his head, having felt sober since a few momnets after Geralt pulled him from the tavern, but the bigger man caught the others chin in his hand and tilted his head up to meet Geralts eyes. They stayed like this for a moment, gazing with almost the same intensity as before he had been dropped on his bum.
Geralt swooped down and pressed a long and passionate kiss into the bards lip, as his eyes went wide with surprise, but only for a moment before he was running back. The kiss began to become more passionate and wanting, and Geralt withdrew, resting his forehead on the younger man's.
"Please stop being so stupid, bard." Geralt whispered, voice more raspy than Jaskier had ever heard it.
"No promises." He whispered back.

guys if you were in a bar with a longtime friend you havent seen in a while what would you make a bet on based off of the people around you
Someone: Is it true that people will just say anything to a bartender?
Me: Oh yeah! I know secrets that people haven’t even told their spouse of 30 years. People confess to crimes ALL THE TIME.
Someone: Why?!?
Me: Cuz therapy isn’t covered by most insurance, and a Coors Lite is $3.50
Tw for blood and injuries

A regular came in on the ass end of my shift asking for tape. Parm (the janitor) and I were like “why do you need tape?”
So he proceeds to show us his still heavily bleeding hand, and wants tape to patch it up. I grab some paper towels for him and go to grab for our first aid kit, but I can’t find it so Parm has me grab 151 rum and honey to help seal and disinfect the wound.
We patch him up, and we’re like “dude you’re still bleeding a lot. You need to go to a hospital cuz you probably need stitches.”
However, this particular regular is not known for his intelligence, and insists that he just needs to tourniquet his finger. Ignoring the fact that if he has to tourniquet something, he should definitely go to the hospital.
He leaves to go do...something, and then my relief bartender comes in and I get to explain why the bar looks like a damn MASH unit.
Needless to say, assisting in bar first aid was not how I expected to end my shift.
