  More Barside Buzz rumors on the Spider-Man 4 disagreement between Sony and Marvel. In the last week or so, we have shared a few rumors that Sony and Marvel are not aligned on the vision for Spider-Man 4. You can find more on this in the related section below. However, today we have some new information from a familiar source on this topic. Daniel RPK, on his Patreon had this to say about all things Spider-Man. ‘I can also confirm that Sony wants to rush Spider-Man 4, no matter what. Sony Animation is developing other Spider-Man animated movies—at least 2 more.  Amy Pascal wants Kevin Feige involved in a future Miles movie. Tom Rothman (Sony) is the one who is fighting Feige over what to do with Spider-Man 4, and he’s the one trying to rush it. He also wants Watts back to direct, while Feige wants someone new and to have Watts on other projects.’ We have already heard the rumor that Watts will not be back for Spider-Man 4. However, perhaps that was slightly premature. RELATED: Spider-Man 4 Rumors Feige is too busy and wants a different story for Sony If anyone has seen Madame Web, then you are probably already praying Sony doesn’t get anything to go their way. Sony is the studio where good movie ideas go to die. I also think actor agents will start to get wise to the fact they’re not joining the MCU, as many who work on Sony movies seem to think they are. It’s quite humorous to see Madame Web actors ask what it’s like to join the MCU, for example. However, I want Spider-Man 4 to be a great movie, so I hope Feige gets his way more than Rothman. Meanwhile, Amy Pascal seems locked in a fantasy land and is riding the coattails of those who actually made the Spider-Verse animated movies. The best studio ever, right? It also seems certain that Tom Holland himself will have a big say in where this movie goes. In the past, he’s been in Feige’s corner, so I wonder if he will again this time. I guess we will find out sooner rather than later because if the movie is going to arrive in 2025, it needs to be filmed this year.
