barthelemy (really resisting the urge to call him barty-) has been occupying my mind so much lately, so could we have some facts about their route with mc, pretty please? <3

MC canonically tends to give bad nicknames, so you'll have the option to call him Barty 😌

Now some facts about his route~!

Barthelemy meets MC for the first time at around 12 years old, since he was living abroad with tutors and his expanded family before that. He gets better results than MC, who's a prodigy, and MC is kind of overshadowed by him.

Some people made fun of MC, but Barthelemy basically humiliated them so now they just ignore MC. Weirdly enough, he's one of the few that speak to MC or respect them, which annoys his friends (and that MC can hate too).

Barthelemy is pretty forward when he realizes he likes MC, and he's not ashamed of letting people know. Most think he's joking at first. He only yones it down in front of their families to not get MC in trouble.

During early relationship stage, he sneaks out in Evergreen Mansion and into MC's room. he doesn't have to, but he thinks it's fun. And he likes lazing around in MC's bed.

He likes to see MC wear his clothes. He might buy some in MC's favorite colors to tempt them. With a friendly-MC, he'll offer them his sweaters or shirts a lot in a casual way during crushing stage.

For antagonistic MCs, he'll tease them a lot. He does it too with other MCs, but he thinks it's kinda cute how they get annoyed and flustered at the same time.

In crushing stage, he'll bribe Cerise with hot gossips about the high society so she agrees to let him do projects with MC or so she arrives late and gives him opportunities to talk with them. She only agrees because she knows he's a good person (otherwise she'd bust his kneecaps).

this one can be slightly spoilers if you don't want to know about a later scene:

MC will have the opportunity to kiss Barthelemy around the age of 14 during a ball. It can be either a sweet moment for friendly MC or a spur of the moment/mid-argument thing for enemies!MC. It can also be MC's first kiss.

I'm not sure if this falls under spoiler territory, but how did the ROs react to realizing that they like Mc?

I'm not sure whether or not I can incorporate ROs POV but if I do, there might be some realizations 👀 I'll give general/vague answers:

Cerise: She has already accepted her childhood crush, and she could guess eventually it'd turn into something stronger. She embraces it willingly. A small part of her is scared it'll fuck up the friendship, but she pushes the thought away.

Barthelemy: He thinks it's funny how he likes the one (1) person that he's supposed to hate and everything. He's pretty chill with the realization and takes things slow. Also, on his path, he likes MC pretty early on.

Aspen: They are thrilled. It is unusual for them so there's a minor freak out at first, but c'mon, it's MC. After coming to terms with it he's basically shouting it from the rooftops, annoying their other friends with it, etc. Their flirting is softer afterwards.

Daphne: She's so done. Like she genuinely lays in bed and reconsider her life choices. She'll be a bit curt with MC but then feels even more annoyed when they look hurt and she feels bad. Her confession will probably come soon after because she hates the uncertainty.
