Lexicon of Dates by Kolmar and Bartkowski
What i got from this articles is that we live in a paradigm of women being oppressed and that is what society lets us view them. Yes racism is still a powerful conflict in the world and especially more effective today but women also suffered just as much as black people. They had a moment where it was the woman suffrage where they had to fight for their right to vote. Where they wanted to have the same jobs as men and wanted to be seen then just more than a sex object. That being said Kolmar and Bartkowski stated in the article that woman usually connect with the world with their bodies. A womans body should be a temple and sacred but society and media want to just use their sex appeal as money makers or just expose what they have. A crazy thing that got me stuck was when they informed us that women were inferior to men because they did not have a penis and that the lack of that makes them more sensitive and soft. Also, because they have a menstrual cycle and the ability to get pregnant is what holds them back and makes men more dominate for having no setbacks.
Feminism will always be an issue because majority of the world will always put men over women and say that men are better than them in basically everything. whether it is labor work or jobs, status or dominance. Will it ever change? Hell if i know.

An interesting point that was mentioned was that “women have been linked with the material world through their bodies, they have become objects, property, and valuable for their exchangeability among men.” This summarizes the way that women were and still are viewed by society; lesser than men in every way. The fact that women don't have the same reproductive organs as males shouldn’t place them in an inferior spot. According to the authors, women are treated differently because they are considered “mysterious, taboo, or dangerous” due to their “pregnant bodies and monthly cycles”. Women’s bodies are often shown off and commercialized in films, stores, and television. For that reason, many people see women as sexual objects because they are taught that it is all right. Then that leads for some women to believe that they need to take dangerous and extreme measures in order to keep up a certain image so that they will be accepted. Another interesting point is that “’one is not born a woman’ but becomes one through social and cultural processes” This could be interpreted in many different ways. The way that I saw it was that women became inferior to men over time due to society or “social and cultural processes” which I believe to be the truth.

This is a list of my favorite Falcons of all-time. These are not necessarily the best statistically or players who achieved the most awards. These are just the my favorites.
Once upon time, 35 years ago the Falcons had the first pick in the Draft. They needed a franchise defining QB. They decided on the nation’s top rated passer from Cal. He was from Iowa originally but his surfer good-looks definitely said west coast.
In his first couple of seasons with Atlanta he did some on the job training and showed promise. The press heralded him as ‘Peachtree Bart’ a riff on Joe Namath’s nickname as ‘Broadway Joe’. He was pretty and talented and then he was hurt. Knee injury. In the late 1970s this was not setback it was more a death knell. Your time in this league is almost up. NFL stands for Not For Long.
But Bart was made of stronger stuff. While his mobility was gone for the most part he still had his arm. The right one. The one that could throw a 25-yard sideline out with velocity and precision. He then set about torching secondaries with great heaves downfield and finesse when needed. He delivered on the promise. He led the league with 31 TD passes while leading the Falcons to the playoffs and added 30 more the next season. He was all about the downfield passing game too. In his 11 seasons under center for the Falcons Bartkowski always had at least 1 td pass of at least 50 yards.
He never became what we hoped he would. Never led the Falcons to the promised land (but to be fair, no Falcon QB has). But he left his mark and I think if I were to purchase any throwback game jersey it would be the Bartkowski era No. 10.
Bo knows
Bartkowski has a screw loose

*Hail Mary!
As I start to write, the game between Manning and Brady is at the two-minute warning with Manning and the Broncos edging out the Patriots for the championship. Now anything can happen in that last two minutes, there is a commercial on as I speak, but anxiously waiting as I have seen miracles on the football field. I think the first time I ever saw a “Hail Mary” thrown was in 1978 when Steve…
