There was an article today in the NY Times that was commenting on the way Dominicans celebrate on the field during World Baseball Classic. Basically some people are "offended" by the way that DR celebrates, appearently some people are bothered by the antics, but the reality is that this is what happens when you have a real WORLD Competition. People show the world how they play the game not just how the MLB plays the game.

I don't think that the Dominican team has been offensive, they just simply celebrate more and that's how the game is played in the island.

In fact when you go to a baseball game in the Dominican Republic people don't just sit there sipping beer and eating Sunflower seeds, no; people PARTY ! Teams in DR have cheerleaders ! And the crowd? man, the crowd is crazy !

In DR baseball is a celebration, let the team celebrate !
