25 years ago today, WCW hosted Bash at The Beach at Daytona Beach, IL. WCW best wrestlers Sting, Lex Luger, & "Macho Man" Randy Savage ready to face The Outsiders for the main event. The Outsiders entered the ring without their third man, during the match... Lex Luger was knocked out and was stretch out. Hulk Hogan came out to the ring looking for a fight, all of sudden... The Leg Drop heard around the world, Hulk Hogan turned on WCW, and was the third man for The Outsiders. "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviewed Hogan and asking why has he ran with the like of Hall & Nash. 20 years ago today, WWE Hall of Famer @hulkhogan faces WWE Hall of Famer @realjeffjarrett for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. Instead of a standard match, Jarrett lay down at the mat. Vince Russo threw the title at Hogan, and left the arena. Hogan grabbed the mic, and replied “That’s why this company is in the damn shape it’s in because of bullshit like this." Hogan pinned Jarrett with regained the WCW title one final time which would be Hogan's final WCW Appearance. This incident would be called the "Bash in the Beach 2000 incident". PAC and Jon Moxley will face each other for an opportunity to the AEW World Championship next week at Dynamite
During the broadcasts of AEW Bash at the Beach through TNT, it has been confirmed that PAC and Jon Moxley will face each other for being the number one contender at the AEW World Championship next week at the Dynamite since Chris Jericho's cruise. A few hours ago, All Elite Wrestling announced that this week they would define the candidates for the AEW title. PAC fights against Darby Allin, and Sammy Guevara against Jon Moxley unveiled both finalists a few moments ago. On the one hand, PAC managed to beat Darby Allin in the main event. While on the other hand, Jon Moxley won a victory against Sammy Guevara before receiving an attack from Chris Jericho. The two candidates for the title saw their faces before the end of this week's show. In this way, PAC will face Jon Moxley for being the number one contender for the AEW World Championship. The confrontation will take place next Wednesday, January 22, and will take place in the second edition of Rock 'N' Wrestling Rager at Sea, the cruise organized by the current world champion Chris Jericho. AEW announces more clashes for next week In addition to the aforementioned match, and the aforementioned World Tag Team Championships defense, AEW announced two other matches for the next Dynamite episode.
