The Hampshire (UK) based blues-rock machine SUGARMAN SAM & THE VOODOO MEN are intent on bringing back the hard-hitting and explosive authenticity of the blues/rock sounds of the 1960s and 1970s to a venue near you.

Sugarman Sam himself gained his first break in 2007 as guitarist for an outfit called ‘Ripslide.’ The band earned plenty of localised interest and were soon frequenting the club…

Basingstoke Live met us with unending warmth.  The sweaty hugs in the 30+ degree tent were one thing but the disco lights installed by our Uncle Derek threatened to melt the cat gut strings on Alex Harrisons prized Danelectro guitar.  As is usually the case, Alex broke all of his guitars long before this became an issue. Our love affair with Basingstoke has left us with an unsightly rash, but fear not, we'll happily stare viral oblivion in the face to brave "Hampshire's Sorrow" once again! We love you basingstoke... you filthy, filthy *£$*(££".
