Forgot to post this last week. It was supposed to be a summer, autumn, winter, spring thing like it started out hot, falls apart, turns cold and bleak, but ends with renewed hope.

Day #7 of BatCat Week: DREAM

Sorry I am 3 days late—I actually fell ill on Sunday night because I over-exerted myself (a literal BatCat-induced fever, let’s say). But anyway, better late than never!

I hope Bruce and Selina are having pleasant dreams—they deserve it. I didn’t want to do a typical sleeping scene—I like that Selina is draped over Bruce; I imagine she’d habitually hog the bed space. :)

BatCat Week’s been so much fun, and I’ve certainly flexed my drawing muscle. I used water brushes that I got from Japan for this piece—THEY ARE SO AH-MAY-ZING. Can we have another BatCat Week soon?

BatCat Week, Day 07 → Dreams

The mainstream version of Catwoman can only DREAM of the life of the Earth-2 Catwoman: married to the man she loves and ready to enter the next phase of her life.

However, just like in real life where her Batman is married to Gotham, her dreams never end with the 'happily ever after' finale of the Earth-2 Catwoman, who's Batman did learn to move on and let other people into his life. But she can only dream.

(This is admittedly the only good scene from this issue of Nightwing. The rest was just....ick! You never pair off Catwoman with one of Batman's sons for the same reason you NEVER EVER pair off Batman with the Huntress regardless of who it is in the costume!

Here's to hoping the New 52 won't cross that bridge again....)

Day #6 of BatCat Week: REGRET

Apologies for my delay—drawing a pic a day, on top of working full-time, clearly took its toll on me! Do I have regrets? Yes and no. :P

Anyhow, I was fairly certain there’d be sad posts in response to this prompt, so I thought I’d lighten things up with this silly pic. Batman regrets getting to know his feline friends better … Or does he? This is also being posted to this week’s OzComics Batman ‘66 draw-off! (Yeah, why not kill two birds at once?)

Also, I am totally in love with drawing cats now. Omg. I need to draw more kitties …
