My cat t
So back porch cat is now bathroom cat. After talking it over with a friend who does cat rescues I decided to bring her in given the circumstances.
Took her to the local vet to check for chip, she does have one so now I wait to see if her family claims her. A voicemail was left with the family on Wednesday evening and they have not filed a missing pet report.
Now if it it was me and I'd lost my cat I would have filed a report already, made sure the shelter where her chip information was kept was updated with multiple types of contact info, etc... Basically I'd be doing everything I could to get my pet back.
I don't know what's going on with this family but I'm kinda hoping they don't claim her. Like it's sad that they abandoned her but she's a sweetheart and I'd love to keep her, so we'll see what happens.
If you're wondering why she's in the bathroom there's a few reasons.
Putting animals in a smaller place in new situations reduces stress because they can see and observe the entire space
Cats won't always accept a new cat right away (I have two) and this gives them time to adjust to the new comer
She needs to be quarantined from my cats in case she has a communicable illness or parasites
Keeping her in the bathroom right now is safer for her and my own pets.

did you know that if your cat hangs out in the bathroom a lot that you can sing “Bathroom Cat” to the tune of “Uptown Girl?” you just need to make up all the words as you go and the lyrics will never be the same twice
He's going to be ONE in TWO MONTHS
This is a BABY
Why is he the size of a GROWN MAN
Also YES I took this PICTURE while SHITTING
last night i managed to lock myself out of the bathroom. it took multiple attempts with different techniques before i got back in, and she ran back and forth with me, just desperate to be back in her sanctuary. bathroom cat is a happy girl now (despite the face she’s making). 🛁 🐈
we have a stray cat who's been living in our bathroom since january. we rescued her during a snow storm, someone went to take the garbage out and found her half frozen in the street after she started meowing for help. she didn't belong to anybody that we could tell/find, shes's very old and she didn't want to leave the bathroom anyways. so now she lives here and sits on your lap while you use the toilet. we call her clementine.
