Came across someone on tiktok posting incredibly personal things about her very young autistic daughter including a photo of her smearing feces, while claiming that it’s all for awareness and anyone who disagrees with posting those photos just thinks autism is a superpower?
I’m genuinely disgusted, that’s not raising awareness, it’s absolutely vile exploitation. You can post about what it’s like to raise an autistic child without sharing things like that online.
This is ableism and exploitation.
I do think talking about these things is important, but photos are absolutely unnecessary. And someone can talk about these things without showing or mentioning their child.
As we approach the one year anniversary of Ponzi starting lure coursing and this moment, I’d like to inform everyone that on her second day running, Ponzi had diarrhea mid-run.
Most dogs would stop and finish their business, but not only did she not even flinch, we didn’t discover this happened until she came back in and I caught her, smearing poop all over myself, AND the photographer managed to capture the special moment.
I pulled her from the rest of the trial much to her disappointment. We suspect it was stress/excitement related and it has never happened again, but she will never live it down. I suspect it will come up several times this weekend lol
You may be wondering why these caterpillars are playing hoop with poop. There’s a theory that’s quite simple: They’re cleaning up.
Frass is a big indicator of nearby caterpillars, not just for birds and bug hunters, but for wasps. The caterpillars may also be simply cleaning up, as a large accumulation of frass takes up room in the nest.
Pegasi sound like a great idea until you consider that horses are totally capable of pooping while walking/trotting/galloping/jumping, so it’s pretty fair to assume that they’d also be capable of doing it while flying. And horse poop is BIG.
Like, imagine you’re just minding your own business and then a piece of literal shit the size of a fucking tennis ball and traveling at 62 miles per hour falls on your head. That’s what a world with pegasi would look like.
The incident occurred the night of National Indigenous Peoples Day at Charles Spencer High School
WARNING: This story contains details some readers may find distressing.
A teepee erected at Charles Spencer High School in Grande Prairie, Alta., for this year's Indigenous graduates containing a residential school memorial has been vandalized.
RCMP are investigating, but the school's Indigenous student support liaison says she hopes this incident sparks a much broader conversation in the community.
The teepee was set up on June 16 in preparation for a ceremony to honour the school's Indigenous graduates held on June 18, which took place without any issues.

On National Indigenous Peoples Day, June 21, Rogers said the teepee was again well received by the school community.
"People were asking a lot of questions, [there was] a lot of dialogue. Students were very interested and the teepee was fine," said Rogers.
But, the next day when Rogers and other school staff went to take the teepee down — they were horrified by what they found.
A table in the teepee had been damaged and dented down the middle, a bottle of alcohol had been left in the teepee, and the banner in memory of residential school victims had been torn down and smeared with human feces, which had also been left in the teepee.
my section leader kept stepping in dog poop so we put a cinder block we found over it. This led to me and another senior trying to trick underclassmen into looking under the block (we'd stop them if they actually went to do it tho) and the whole experience caused me to make this thing right here
