"Welcome to my Cooking Show"
Make a Pumpkin Gratine with Maple (Weekly Photo 38/2024)
"First grap your pasta, this is a single serving recipe but take as much as you need! Put into a pot and cook the things. We have Pumpkin Seed Pasta here"
Then you need some pumpkin... make sure it's not alive and CHOP. CHOP CHOP. Into little bits.
Chop your other vegetables too. We have onions, garlic and spring onion here. oof.
Pasta is done. Up into the oven pot. Mix your vegetables in.
OH and now...
We need two eggs. And spices. And a bit of milk. Mix them. MIX MIX MIX. Pour over pasta and veggies.
If you are fancy you can garnish it with cheese and spring onion. UP TO THE OVEN FOR 25 MINUTES.
ENJOY.
... the fancy human added pumpkin seeds later on. And had some yogurt with herbs to go with it.
THANK YOU FOR ENJOYING MAPLE'S COOKING SHOW.
.... can I have my blog back now Maple?
".... maybe."
WiP - Cloth for Maple
or: why stepping out helps.
Maple had waited long enough, I have prepped the pattern for her a while ago and cut parts later on but postponed working on her for a while.
She wasn't planned to be worked on but I lost a material I needed for cosplay progress and I decided to work on her instead ... which was not my best idea.
To be honest the first dress you see here ended up in the trash as I was miffed about the missing material and just chopped off things here and there. I decided to take a break, go for a walk.
During my walk I thougt a lot about this and Maple deserves more than being the random filler for a project. So I digged up a more special fabric and redid her whole dress with new pattern.
The 2nd attempt went way better than the first one. This is a hand dyed fabric I got to make cushions as I renovated my living room back in the day.
Apron was next, I might tweak it a bit later as I am not 100% satisfied with the lace but for now I call her done. The writing was not planned but somehow the last tad was missing and I looked up cute phrases that are Halloween and baking themed.
Done as of 18/05/2024
WiP - Face up for Maple
She was a pleasure to work on, so much pumpkin shaped fun. I tried to incooperate her character concept of being a baker, the white splotches are supposed to be flour (or icing not sure) hope her body will arrive soon to make her a full doll :D
WiP - Sanding heads Maple & Reese
Both Pumpkin heads are 3D printed. While Maple has been sanded she still had some peck-bumps and Reese came as kit, meaning they were sold with sanding paper to finish the head yourself.
I started with the sanding paper but switched to my sponges then, was way easier. As I had both to sand I just started with Reese and went on with Maple to have them both prepared for face ups.
Also pls always wear protection when sanding resin <3
