Lydia had been forced by Delia and her father to move to Hawkins after the incident with Beetlejuice and the Maitlands. So to say Lydia was broken hearted was an understatement. She had wanted to stay behind but her parents wouldnt let her, instead they drug her to this house in the middle of what felt like an even smaller town than before. She had settled in over a few days and unpacked her room but she hated it. This wasnt home for her so she decided to get out of it and spend some time outside. She grabbed her polaroid and started taking pictures around the neighborhood. That was probably weird to other people but Lydia was just different and did things without thinking about it sometimes. She was looking for ghosts if anyone dared to ask. Now that she knew she could see them, she was hunting for more, in hopes to make friends.

She snapped a picture of the neighbors house just as someone was coming out. She looked at the film that printed and sighed when she saw he did infact have feet and was clearly human. She lowered her camera and checked the picture that printed. “You ruined my shot.” She said without thinking how weird what she was doing was. She was decked in gothic all black fashion and jet black hair to match. She was unusual but that worked for her. “You must be the neighbor. I’ll warn you now that you dont want to eat the food Delia will bring over when she introduces herself. She cant cook but thinks she can.”

            fuck.  he  has  to  BITE  his  tongue  not  to  mutter  the  curse  out  of  irritation,  he  should’ve  known  steve  would  ask  questions.  “no...”  he  hesitates,  this  shit  has  caught  him  off  guard  and  he’s  running  scared  behind  creased  brows  and  giving  the  most  idiotic  ANSWERS.  afraid  steve  will  take  this  as  the  perfect  opportunity  to  pay  him  back,  catching  him  almost  going  to  jail  for  reckless  driving  right  in  this  very  parking  lot.  hawkins  pd  just  left  and  now  he’s  wadding  the  ticket  up  in  anger  and  throwing  it  in  the  open  passenger  window,  not  another  fucking  speeding  ticket.  he  really  doesn’t  learn  his  lesson.  clearly,  since  the  last  speeding  ticket  got  his  brain  almost  knocked  out  of  his  skull  neil  got  so  mad.  and  now,  he’s  going  to  be  in  SO  MUCH  shit  again.

          going  to  the  trunk  and  slinging  out  the  spare  tire  and  the  tools  to  put  it  on  with,  he  has  to  change  the  tire  he  fucked  up  on  the  camaro  too  to  top  things  off  even  better.  “because  you  won’t  understand.”  keeping  his  back  turned  to  steve  while  he  frantically  works,  kneeling  down  on  the  ground  and  hands  feeling  shaky  around  the  metal  of  the  wrench  while  he  loosens  the  lugnuts,  “just  don’t  tell  him,  okay.  don’t  tell  ANYONE.  especially  that  fucking  carol  and  tommy  fuckhead.”  he  can’t  fucking  believe  it’s  had  to  come  down  to  this...  begging  this  dweeb  harrington  not  to  tell  his  dad  what  happened.  but  that’s  the  thing.  this  is  not  the  type  of  dad  who  will  ground  their  kid  kinda  thing.  this  is  a  monster  who  preys  on  ANY  reason  for  ‘punishment’,  neil  is  the  father  who  goes  ballistic  all  on  his  own  let  alone  giving  him  a  perfect  reason.  and  billy  damn  well  will  BEG  to  stay  out  of  his  wrath  for  the  first  time  in  his  life,  if  that  means  also  keeping  steve  from  finding  out  why  he’s  so  nervous  and  freaked  out.

“Steve!” Beth is in his arms in an instant, ambulances surrounding all of them, the military scrambling around the mall as the flames engulfed the building; but right now all that mattered to Beth was that Steve was alive. Matt was comforting Will, the rest of the kids were being looked over by the paramedics, they would be fine. Fingers tangled in his hair, the former experiment shaking in his hold as she breathed him in. This was real, there were no monsters left. Pulling away, she soon cradled his face in her hands and wiped away some of the blood with a small smile. “Hi. You scared me. No more getting kidnapped and beaten up, okay? Then again saving you was a lot of fun.”

She was filled in for the most part by the kids what happened the other night but she didn’t think it was this bad. “Did you go to the hospital to get patched up? That looks really bad, Harrington.”
