The woman kills people for a living. She designed the ring system which, if people don’t get in the ring fast enough, literally burns people alive. She electrocutes people to death in her finishers.

None of this “too soft” BS. She kills, and she’s damn smart about how she does it.

And I’m sure people will be like “yeah but what about the stuffed animals” you mean the only connection she has to her mother? Why is she not allowed to be attached to that? Plenty of adults keep stuffed animals from their childhood, especially if connected to their parents in some way.

Not to mention the fact that she had to split up an argument between Caustic and Crypto, yelling at them both to stop.

She’s tough as nails and I adore her.

Hot take: 99% of Gotham belives that Alfred Pennyworth is batman. I mean? Look at the evidence:

1) he was in the army and kicked ass

2) all these years Bruce spend getting drunk and traveling around the world was a perfect opportunity for him to train and get a good understanding of Gotham’s underworlds

3) Batman doesn’t use guns and Bruce’s parents were killed by guns so ofc Alfred would not use guns as it would scare Bruce and Bruce had only just come back to Gotham when batman (Alfred) started out

4) we all know that Wayne tec supports Batman? And ofc Bruce would support his (dad) butler!

5) Batman’s tec and equipment is very expensive but Bruce would also pay for this!!

6) everytime Batman gets hurt Bruce is gone for a while to take care of Alfred!!!

7) Have you guys noticed how everytime there is a new Robin or whatever people call them there is a new Wayne??? Alfred must let them into the family business since Bruce can’t ??

8) We all saw the video of Alfred Puntching the Joker in the face doing the Wayne gala?? Who else could do that but batman!!!!

9) ever seen Alfred when the Wayne’s are out in public?? No, that man is a ninja that can just appear and disappear without anyone noticing!! Who else can do that??? That’s right, Batman!

10) batman doesn’t do any emotions? Nobody has ever seen that man do any facial expression! Obviously he is British!!!

The hate I’m seeing towards Vantage and Mirage on Twitter is genuinely ridiculous.

Vantage’s teaser was literally diary entries talking about how the only person she’s ever spoken to is her mother. She is blunt but not malicious; she is not well socialized. Her “making fun of” Mirage isn’t meant to be harmful, she genuinely doesn’t understand limits and how to word things. She’s also a goddamned 18 year old who’s never gotten to make friends before. Why are you so mad that she’s excited and chatty? Not to mention the fact that Bangalore has MANY rude moments that are NOT because she wasn’t socialized, and people go crazy over her. Why the hate on Vantage??

Mirage, by the way, has a right to be upset even if Vantage isn’t super cautious of how she speaks. At the end of the day, she is actively trying to round people up to go to his party. Because she cares. And he is patient with her because he knows she does, and he likely understands her struggle.

Stop trying to create negativity between characters when there is none.

Mirage being upset is understandable, the way he’s approaching it with his friends isn’t productive but it’s a very Mirage way of doing it. However I think something else needs to be pointed out.

Generally speaking, he’ll ask them if they’re memory’s okay, whether teasing or not.

He does not ask Wraith about her memory.

Even when he’s hurting, he’s cautious about that subject around her after everything they’d gone through much earlier. He’s still a sweetheart and thoughtful about his friends.

Opinions on Autistic Vantage coming from an Autistic person who HCs Vantage with Autism?

I want to preface this by saying I am not diagnosed with autism, however in my extensive research of just. Neurodivergency in general. I have no doubts that I am neurodivergent. That being said, I reiterate that I am not officially diagnosed so don't like. Take my word as law, LOL

Anyways!

I love this HC, I have seen it many times around the Apex community and I think it works really well. She does show signs of being autistic or otherwise ND, and the fact that it isn't said outright doesn't discount that. I enjoy that ND people connect with her where they might not connect with Wattson; while she is canonically autistic, not every autistic person is the same.

The fact that she studies facial expressions so closely, doesn't understand a lot of social cues and such, and her chattiness definitely points to ND, imo. While people might explain this with the fact that she's only ever been around one person, that being her mother, in her 18 years of life she absolutely would've seen a wide array of expressions and had countless conversations with her. Her mother very clearly raised her well, so I think that some things just can't be explained by her upbringing.

TLDR; Yes anon I love this HC and encourage it and believe it, myself
